Chapter 14 Seduction

"You still know that I am your husband? You sneaked away during the Flower Festival just to date another man?"

Jun Zechen's tone was calm without a trace of emotion, but his aura was cold and sharp, as if to freeze everything around him.

Si Nanyu followed behind Su Jingyao and bowed to Jun Zechen, "I just met Miss Su under the Bodhi tree by chance, please don't misunderstand." There was a hint of respect in his voice, but he could not hide the helplessness in his heart.

When Jun Zechen heard Si Nanyu's words defending her, the anger in his heart rose, but he remained calm on the surface, only his temperament was frighteningly low.

"Husband, I come to the Bodhi tree every year to enjoy the red flowers. Today is really a coincidence."

Su Jingyao raised her head slightly and looked at Jun Zechen firmly, her deer-like eyes clear and innocent.

Jun Zechen knew in his heart that Su Jingyao would not dare to date a man outside of her privately, but when he came over and saw the young lady's relaxed and comfortable smile towards Si Nanyu, he felt deeply jealous.

It seemed that this woman had never laughed so happily and so sincerely in front of him.

"Master Si, please go back. My wife and I have something to discuss, and it is inconvenient for outsiders to be present."

Jun Zechen's voice was cold and resolute, leaving no room for negotiation.

Si Nanyu heard the rejection in Jun Zechen's voice, and he did not dare to confront the prince head-on. After looking at Su Jingyao worriedly, he bowed and left.

As soon as Si Nanyu left, Jun Zechen immediately took her hand and was about to leave.

His grip was very strong, tightly holding Su Jingyao's wrist, as if to crush her bones. Su Jingyao felt waves of pain in her wrist, and she tried to break free, "Husband... it hurts... where are you taking me?"

"Home, of course. Where else do you want to go?"

Jun Zechen's eyes were as cold as ice, and he looked at her without a trace of emotion.

"I want to hang the paper on the Bodhi tree. Can you wait for me, my husband?"

A layer of mist gradually appeared in Su Jingyao's eyes, and the mist was hazy, as if it would condense into tears and roll down at any time. She looked at Jun Zechen pleadingly, with expectation in her eyes.

Jun Zechen's gaze fell on the paper in her hand, and after a moment, moved to her pitiful face. His dark eyes were as deep as the abyss, making it difficult to guess what he was thinking at the moment.

Su Jingyao felt that the man's grip on her hand loosened a little, and she took the opportunity to quickly exert a little force to pull her hand out of his control.

She lowered her head, her thick eyelashes trembling slightly like butterfly wings, and whispered, "Thank you, husband."

After saying that, Su Jingyao walked to the table beside her. On the table were placed the four treasures of the study, which were used for people to write prayers on paper.

Jun Zechen followed her with an indifferent look on his face, like a shadow.

The scholar, who was originally sitting at the table, saw a woman with outstanding temperament like a fairy, and he felt an urge to strike up a conversation with her. But when he saw Jun Zechen's stern face, he immediately fell silent and shut his mouth.

Su Jingyao picked up the brush and was about to write, but she felt Jun Zechen was watching her from behind.

She bit her lip, turned her head, and whispered, "Husband, your wish will not come true if it is seen."

There was a hint of coquettishness in her tone, and the meaning was obvious, she wanted Jun Zechen not to read her prayer wishes.

Jun Zechen looked at her deeply, then turned around silently, with his back to her, leaving her with an indifferent back.

Su Jingyao breathed a sigh of relief, her expression soothed and relaxed, then she picked up the brush and carefully wrote a blessing on each piece of paper.

She lowered her eyes, her long eyelashes trembled slightly like a small fan, her eyes were focused and gentle, as if she had integrated all her wishes into every stroke of the pen.

After writing, Su Jingyao carefully held the paper in her hands, then stepped on the ladder and climbed up steadily step by step.

After climbing up the ladder, he hung the paper on the Bodhi tree, moving so gently as if he was afraid of disturbing anything.

Jun Zechen silently memorized the location of her paper, and then stood there quietly waiting for her to come down.

After a while, Su Jingyao came down from the ladder. Her steps were a little unsteady. Seeing this, Jun Zechen immediately stepped forward and held her hand.

Su Jingyao struggled a little and said, "Husband, I can walk by myself, can you let me go?"

"Leave by yourself? And then sneak away?" Jun Zechen's words contained a hint of sarcasm, without any politeness in his words.

Su Jingyao was speechless for a moment and didn't know how to refute him.

She bit her lip and said helplessly, "Husband, my skirt is wet..."

It didn't matter if her clothes got wet outside the palace, but after returning to the palace, she couldn't behave in any way in front of the servants.

Jun Zechen lowered his head and looked at the hem of her skirt. She was frightened when she saw him, and the flower tea in her hand fell to the ground and got wet.

The hem of her skirt was not only wet, but also had some stains on it, making her look a little disheveled.

He naturally knew that Su Jingyao was very concerned about her image, so he said, "The Mofeng Tower is in front of us. I'll take you there to wash up."

After that, he turned around and told Miaoyun who had been following behind Su Jingyao, "Go prepare a set of clothes."

The reason why Jun Zechen instructed Miaoyun was because Miaoyun knew best which materials of clothes were suitable for Su Jingyao.

Miaoyun responded, bowed and left.

Jun Zechen held Su Jingyao's hand tightly and walked towards Mofeng Tower.

Su Jingyao's gaze fell on the plaque of Mofeng Tower, and a barely perceptible deep meaning flashed in her eyes.
