Xia Tian had just returned to Jinglan Garden. Ningxiang was setting up the table, but before they were ready to eat, Ningxue came in and said, "Madam, the Third Miss is here."
"Oh? Third Miss? Chen Lan?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"What is she doing here? When she saw me in the morning, she was telling me that her nose was not a nose and her eyes were not eyes." Xia Tian muttered in confusion.
But it came at the right time. It was a boring day, so it would be nice to have someone to keep things busy.
Xia Tian put down his chopsticks with shining eyes and said to Ning Xue, "Please come in, Third Miss."
"Hmph, do I need your permission to enter my own yard?" Before Ningxue could go out, Chen Lan came in with her maid with a look of disdain.
"Really? So the third young lady is planning to move in?" Xia Tian looked at Chen Lan with amusement.
"Huh, if it weren't for you, I would definitely move in."
"That's not right. I heard that this yard has been empty for several years. Why are you thinking of moving in now?" Xia Tian teased her deliberately.
"You...if my elder brother didn't forbid me, do you think I wouldn't want to?" Shen Lan said angrily.
"Oh - so you're not allowed to!" Xia Tian stretched out his tone, as if he had suddenly realized something.
"Don't be so proud. When my elder brother doesn't like you anymore, I'll show you how I'll deal with you." Shen Lan stomped her feet in anger.
"Oh, then you'll have to wait." Xia Tian said, then sat down at the table and picked up his bowl to drink porridge. "Miss San, have you had breakfast? If not, let's eat something together."
"I'm not eating your food."
"Are you afraid I'll poison you?"
"Hmph!" Shen Lan turned her head away, not wanting to see her.
"Then what do you want to see me about?" Xia Tian took a bite of the food and asked her curiously.
She has only been here for three days and is not familiar with this spoiled young lady.
"I just came to take a look, is that not okay?" Shen Lan said unhappily. If it weren't for the eldest brother giving you the yard, who would have the time to talk nonsense with a wild girl like you.
"Okay, of course. After all, this is Miss Third's home. You can go wherever you want."
"You're smart." After saying that, Chen Lan sat down on the stool and frowned at Ningxiang, saying, "Bring the tea? Haven't you seen that I've been talking for a long time?"
Ningxiang turned her head to look at Xia Tian. She nodded, and then Ningxiang went out to make tea.
This made Shen Lan even angrier. She pouted and said, "What? You didn't even serve a cup of tea when the guests came? You still want to be the prince's wife, but you don't even know the most basic way to entertain guests."
Xia Tian was speechless. He was acting like the host just now, but now he was a guest again!
Besides, if I offer you tea, I’m afraid you won’t dare to drink it!
She just looked so righteous and vowed not to eat anything from her place, but now she wants to drink tea. There must be something wrong with this girl!
"Why, aren't you afraid that I'll poison you?"
"Hmph, you wouldn't dare." Shen Lan snorted with a proud expression.
Ningxiang placed the teacup on the table in front of Shen Lan. She stopped talking and just sipped the teacup slowly.
Xia Tian finished his meal slowly, came over and sat opposite Shen Lan, also holding a cup of tea and drinking it while blowing on it.
The maids on both sides looked at the two of them without saying a word, each holding a cup of tea and sipping it slowly.
After finishing a cup of tea, Shen Lan suddenly stood up and said, "I'm leaving," and walked out the door very quickly.

The three people in the room were left staring at each other in confusion.
"What on earth is she doing here?" Xia Tian asked puzzledly.
"I guess the third young lady just came to take a look. The third young lady always wanted to move into this courtyard, but the prince didn't agree." Ningxue whispered to Xia Tian to explain.
"I heard that the third young lady was making trouble for the lady yesterday, but the lady refused to let her come over." Ningxiang also gossiped in a low voice about what she heard yesterday.
Xia Tian nodded in understanding.
Judging from today's contact with the Third Young Lady, Chen Lan is just a spoiled and unruly young lady with no scheming.
However, one cannot judge a person by his appearance. What if he is a very cunning person?

After Chen Lan left, Xia Tian had nothing to do again, so he took out the book he had taken from Chen Nian's study and continued reading.
The weather was cold, so she didn't go out. She just stayed on the kang in the warm room and read.
