Upon hearing this, Ling Ran instantly sensed something was wrong and spoke first to stop her from saying anything more: "Your Highness, don't say such foolish things. We are still the same as before."
"As your subject, I will always stay by the princess's side, watching her cry and laugh, and exchanging a few words with her from time to time. This is what makes me happiest."
Although there was no mention of her son in the words, she felt his overflowing care and love.
