Chapter 200

These words seemed to suddenly unlock the doubts in Xiangye's heart. Not only had her young mistress changed, but even Lingxin, whom she had always hated, seemed to have become a different person.

"This servant..."

"This servant does not know!"

The lake water was pushed aside, creating ripples that startled the fish in the water, causing them to scatter in all directions!

"Hahaha!"

Every now and then, a silvery laugh could be heard coming from the pavilion.

Following the sound of laughter, Murong Kui, dressed in a light blue dress, held embroidery thread in her hand, and soon two lifelike mandarin ducks were formed.

"Miss, you have such skillful hands!" Lingxin praised.

The two were so engrossed in laughing that they didn't notice a figure slowly approaching.

"Cough cough!" An inappropriate cough sounded, as if reminding someone of something.

Murong Kui raised her head and met Ye Lisheng's sharp, eagle-like eyes.

Fear involuntarily flickered in her eyes, but she quickly concealed it.

But how could such a small movement escape his notice, given his years of fighting?

"Greetings, Your Highness!"

She was well-mannered and knowledgeable, but because she was afraid of her mind going blank, she seemed to have forgotten that okra never bowed.

"Why are you being so obedient today, knowing to bow to me?"

Murong Kui's heart tightened, but on the surface she remained calm and composed: "I didn't know the rules before, but from now on I will learn to be a proper young lady."

She imitated okra, pretending to be very mischievous, and said.

"real?"

Ye Lisheng raised an eyebrow and asked.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the two embroidered mandarin ducks: "Did you embroider these?"

Her smile was as sweet as honey, and she was so focused on waiting for Ye Lisheng's comments that she didn't notice Lingxin constantly giving her meaningful glances.

Ye Lisheng's expression changed slightly as he looked at her face closely.

Murong Kui got goosebumps all over from his gaze, and her voice trembled as she asked, "Wh...what's wrong?"

He looked away, a slight smile playing on his lips, his eyes holding a cryptic expression: "It's nothing."

"I just think you've become more and more beautiful."

Just as she turned to leave, she suddenly remembered something: "Lingxin, your princess used to be the closest to you. Did she tell you where she went?"

Lingxin felt as if her heart had been suddenly thrown into an abyss, and her face turned deathly pale.

He dared not look Ye Lisheng in the eye, afraid he would notice something amiss: "Return..."

"Replying to Your Highness..."

"This servant...this servant...this servant does not know!"

Because of the tension, my tongue felt numb, and I started to stutter when I spoke.

Seeing this, Murong Kui quickly stepped in front of Lingxin, jokingly trying to distract him.

"You look so cold and aloof, you're scaring people to death."

Ye Lisheng naturally doted on her, and upon hearing her words, his tense face immediately relaxed into a smile: "I was just asking casually, I didn't expect to frighten her!"

"I have official business to attend to, so I will not linger here any longer."

He took a few steps and then heard Murong Kui's voice behind him: "Respectfully seeing off Your Highness!"

He paused for a moment, then walked away as if nothing had happened.

As his figure slowly walked away, Lingxin's legs went weak and she collapsed to the ground, only then realizing that the back of her clothes was already mostly wet.

"What's wrong with you?" Murong Kui asked, her voice tinged with anger.

Lingxin disregarded all etiquette, quickly raising her sleeve to wipe the fine sweat from her forehead, feeling a sense of rebirth after surviving a disaster.

"This servant wanted to remind Your Highness that Qiu Kui never used to bow."

"Even if you encounter a prince, it's the same..."

...

After leaving the Prince's Mansion, Ye Lisheng turned and went to Xinghua Tower.

The plum blossoms on the screen were blooming wildly, and the laughter of a woman could be heard from behind the screen from time to time. I wonder what kind of scene was behind the screen.

Suddenly, a sharp sword aura struck, and the screen shattered into two pieces in an instant.

Accompanied by a woman's scream, a vivid and interesting scene came into view.

Fan Feng, his tanned face gleaming with a wicked grin, stared at Ye Lisheng. The beautiful woman in his arms was barely clothed, her once rosy cheeks now deathly pale with fright.

Fan Feng casually shoved the beautiful woman in his arms away like he was throwing away trash, and tossed a few pieces of silver at her feet: "Get down!"

The woman was also startled by the Prince of Anyang's display of power. She didn't even bother to pick up the silver before scrambling out of the room.

Fan Feng slowly put on his clothes, looking at him with a mischievous grin: "What, does Your Highness have a taste for this?"

Ye Lisheng gave him a sharp glare, and Fan Feng immediately felt a chill run down his spine despite the bright sunshine. He quickly pulled his collar tighter.

"Did you need something?"

"Find someone for me!"

"The Prince of Anyang is begging for help..." The arrogant words had barely left his mouth when he saw the intense killing intent in Ye Lisheng's eyes, and his arrogance vanished before he could even finish the word "du".

He waved his hand helplessly and exhaled a long breath: "Alright, alright, it's truly my family's ancestral graves emitting auspicious smoke that I've fallen into your hands!"

The way he said those words was like a sudden realization after experiencing the vicissitudes of life, it was heartbreaking!

"Who are you looking for?" Fan Feng asked.

"Murong Kui!" Ye Lisheng blurted out, though he himself was unsure whether the one who had disappeared was the real Murong Kui.

"You care about her so much, who in the household wouldn't be jealous if they knew?"

Ye Lisheng frowned slightly, no longer looking cold and aloof.

"I have recently discovered many suspicious aspects about okra!"

"Oh?" Fan Feng raised an eyebrow, signaling him to continue!

"She used to be like a little wildcat, but suddenly overnight she became a completely different person, very well-behaved and docile!"

"She will bow to me, she will embroider, and she will even try to win my favor..."

"puff!!!"

Before Ye Lisheng could finish speaking, he heard a mocking laugh.

"So you like being tormented? That's easy, I'll find you a few girls who suit your taste sometime."

Ye Lisheng's anger was reignited. If it weren't for needing his help, Fan Feng would probably have been thrown downstairs by now.

He poured him a glass of wine, which Fan Feng drank without hesitation.

Just as he finished eating, he caught a glimpse of the mysterious smile that flashed across Ye Lisheng's lips out of the corner of his eye.

"Hey! What's so funny?"

"Aren't you afraid I'll poison your wine?"

"Ugh!!!" Fan Feng vomited as soon as he finished speaking.

"Ye... Ye Lisheng, you're not serious, are you?"

He had witnessed his methods firsthand; they were extremely cruel. So when he said he had poisoned someone, he believed him without a second thought.

"I still have a use for you, so I'll spare your dog's life for now."

Fan Feng was nearly scared to death. Hearing him say that, he immediately turned red with anxiety, but he didn't dare to do anything about it.

"Please, please stop torturing me, okay?"

Yanran was thrown into the woodshed.
