Ye Lisheng, dressed in a purple brocade robe, walked towards me in the morning light, looking just like a celestial being who had stepped out of a painting.
My eyes never left him from that moment on, and my heart was pounding wildly.
I silently straightened my clothes, waiting for him to pass by, a strange sense of anticipation stirring within me.
To my surprise, he walked past me with a cold expression, not even glancing at me for a second.
"Ye Lisheng!" I don't know where I got the courage, but I called out his name angrily.
"How dare you address me by my given name!" a guard behind him shouted angrily.
Ye Lisheng's sharp gaze swept over me, finally settling on the potted plant in my hand.
"These flowers are so beautiful, where did they come from?"
"I found it in the corner of an abandoned villa, what do you think? Don't I have a good eye?" He then raised his head smugly.
The guard was newly transferred back. Seeing that Ye Lisheng wasn't angry and was instead talking to me, his expression immediately softened.
"The flowers in the villa are blooming so beautifully? Did you steal them from somewhere?" he asked incredulously.
"Hmph!" I snorted at him in dissatisfaction.
To my surprise, Ye Lisheng smiled faintly, revealing two small dimples that were dazzling.
He seemed to realize how uncomfortable he was with his movement, and immediately put on a stern face.
Seeing that he had returned unharmed, Imperial Physician Wang rushed over from the palace without stopping, extremely curious about what the blood essence was like, and pestered Ye Lisheng to ask in detail.
"Greetings, Your Highness? This old minister has been unable to sleep all night, tossing and turning, and has finally decided to come and seek your advice!"
