"What's wrong? Are you surprised to see me?"
The person standing in front of me is dressed exactly like me, and looks like we were made from the same mold. Now that we're standing together, it's like looking in a mirror.
Seeing me standing there dumbfounded, she raised her hand, pursed her lips, and smiled: "You look exactly like the first time I met you!"
I snapped out of my daze and tried to calm myself down: "You've already seen me before?"
She didn't hide anything and nodded in affirmation.
"I'd heard Ye Lisheng mention before that you and I looked alike. I thought it was just something in common, but I never imagined we looked this much alike—we're practically the same person!"
When I mentioned his name, a flash of malice crossed her eyes.
"You seem to be very close to him?"
I raised the corners of my mouth and said, "Since you know of my existence, you must also know about my relationship with him!"
The contempt in her eyes stung her; one second the person was gentle and charming, the next their face was contorted with rage.
"You've stolen everything that should have been mine!"
She quickly regained her composure, looked at me with a smile, and said, "I came to thank you for taking care of him for so long!"
"The fox's tail has finally been revealed!"
"She takes care of me, and I take care of him; it's only natural!"
"Having been in the Prince's mansion for so long, you should know about my relationship with the Prince! He only sees you as a substitute for me!"
Although her love for Ye Lisheng was unwavering, hearing her say the word "substitute" still stung her heart.
"You're not missing?"
"Then why didn't you return to the Prince's residence sooner?"
Faced with this series of questions, Murong Kui slowly approached me with a smile on her face.
I took a few steps back and asked warily, "What do you want to do?"
"Don't be so nervous, I just want you to see something!"
My eyes were fixed on her right hand, completely ignoring her left hand.
With a painful groan, she plunged the delicate dagger into her heart with her left hand.
Crimson blood dripped down the hilt of the knife, and she held my hand tightly.
At that moment, I was pushed aside by a white figure, and when I looked up, it was Ye Lisheng.
Murong Kui's face was contorted with pain as she pleaded, "Sister Murong, please, please let me go!"
I stood there, stunned, looking at my hands covered in snow, somewhat at a loss.
"When did I become Murong Kui?!"
"Ye Lisheng!"
We both shouted at the same time.
Ye Lisheng looked at me with disgust: "Today I rescind all my pardons against you, Murong Kui. If you dare to hurt her again, I will deal with you severely!"
Murong Kui lay in his arms, her face pale, yet her smile was more radiant than any flower.
"Ye Lisheng, you have to believe me, I am the real Qiu Kui!"
His eyes, like the fangs of a venomous beast, pierced my heart deeply.
"I will never allow you to set foot in the Prince of Anyang's residence!"
Watching him carry her away into the distance, no matter how I called out to him, he wouldn't come back.
Suddenly, mist rose from the forest, and a chill ran through me.
"Okra!" It was Ye Lisheng's voice in her ear.
I looked up and saw his worried eyes looking at me.
Tears welled up in her eyes and she buried her face in his arms.
She choked back tears as she said, "Ye Lisheng, you have to believe me, I am Qiu Kui!"
He pulled me closer and patted my back gently: "Silly girl, what nonsense are you talking about!"
He gently wiped away the tears from the corners of my eyes, and I saw nothing but tenderness and doting in his gaze.
Are you dreaming?
I nodded, feeling wronged, tears welling up in my eyes.
Suddenly his face loomed large in front of me, and his breath tickled my face.
Her face flushed involuntarily, and a tear clung to the corner of her eye.
"What...what are you going to do?"
I tried to back away, but his hand grabbed my waist.
"Where do you think you're going to run off to!"
"Hmm..."
Her lips were sealed by something warm and soft, her mind went blank for a moment, and her body stiffened as she let him...
Although this wasn't our first time having close contact, it still caught us somewhat off guard.
A feather brushed gently against my heart, and I couldn't help but shiver.
I slowly wrapped my arms around his waist, responding to his movements. Ye Lisheng noticed my actions, and a wicked smile curled at the corner of his lips.
Do you believe me?
"I believe you!" He paused, a strange glint in his eyes, and asked, "Do you believe me?"
I nodded resolutely: "I believe you!"
I didn't tell him about the dream, because it was just a dream.
The wind whipped up the fallen leaves, sending them fluttering down like withered yellow butterflies.
"I'll take you home!" His gentle voice rang in my ear.
"good!"
He held my hand tightly, as if afraid I would disappear again.
I seem to have forgotten that I come from another world, forgotten that I don't belong here.
The carriage slowly approached the Prince of Anyang's residence. Seeing the uncontrollable joy on my face, Ye Lisheng's mood also improved greatly.
Looking at his radiant smile, I leaned closer and exclaimed, "He's truly a prodigy! His smile is even more beautiful than a woman's!"
He raised an eyebrow and said, "Are you insulting me or praising me?"
I chuckled and said, "Of course it's a compliment to Your Highness!"
Ye Lisheng sighed, "Sigh!"
"What’s wrong with you?"
He put down the book in his hand, rubbed his forehead, and said, "It seems that there will be no peaceful days in the Prince's mansion from now on!"
"Ye Lisheng!" she said, then made a gesture towards his chest.
Unfortunately, my punches posed no threat to him, so he simply let me do as I pleased.
