Chapter Sixty-Four: Mirror Heart Garden

"Crackling sounds!" A series of crisp sounds echoed from inside the Moon Gazing Pavilion.

Seeing the shattered vases and cups scattered on the floor, Lingxin asked in confusion, "Princess, what happened to you?"

She said fiercely, "The prince actually allowed that woman to live in Mirror Heart Garden!"

"His Highness still cares about you, Princess; otherwise, he wouldn't have kicked that woman out of Wangyue Pavilion and let you stay there."

"What do you know? Jingxin Garden is the closest to the Prince's Yun Garden. The Prince wants to see that woman all the time!"

"What should we do about the princess?"

"snort!"

A ruthless smirk played on her lips: "That woman has taken too much from me. I won't let her succeed this time!"

Inside a private room at Xinghua Tower, the brothers Ye Lisheng and Ye Xuanling were discussing something.

Ye Xuanling's smiles diminished considerably; she was always frowning, which made people quite uncomfortable.

"Sixth Brother, what are you going to do?"

"I had considered that the real Murong Kui might return, but I didn't expect it to be so soon!"

"She is a princess, and Okra is a criminal impersonating a princess. This is a crime of deceiving the emperor!"

"With her appearance, the Celestial Master will definitely make a fuss about it. Don't forget, she fell from the sky and looks exactly like Murong Kui!"

What Ye Xuanling said was exactly what he was worried about.

"No matter what, it was I who asked her to impersonate Murong, so I will ensure her safety no matter what!"

At this moment, Ye Xuanling was puzzled again: "No one knew when Murong Kui disappeared, and no matter how hard we searched, we couldn't find her. How come that person has sent her back now?"

"I fought with that man, and he sounded like he spoke with the accent of the Lan Yi people!"

Ye Xuanling looked incredulous: "The Lan Yi people have always been kind to others, disdain fighting with other countries, and value peace!"

"This is also what I'm worried about. If this matter is not handled properly, it will involve the affairs of the Three Kingdoms!"

"Recently, Prime Minister Su has been frequently interacting with Prince Yu and the Celestial Master. Sixth Brother, you should be worried!"

"This spiritual awakening seems calm on the surface, but a great storm is coming soon!"

Jingxin Garden faces Yunyuan Garden directly, so he can see everything clearly.

I sat on the tatami mat by the fire with a resentful expression, watching Xiangye busily tidying up.

"Miss, you don't seem very happy!"

"Hmph! By placing me here, he's clearly spying on me!"

"How could His Highness be such a person!"

"Selfish, ruthless, violent, and dark!"

As we were talking, Xiangye kept winking at me.

What happened to your eyes?

Suddenly, a cold voice came from behind: "Since I am so selfish, ruthless, violent, and dark, then you may move out!"

I stiffened in fright, turning my head mechanically like a puppet, and forced a calm smile, saying, "Your Highness, you must have misheard me. You've been so good to me, how could I dare to complain!"

"Pack your things, let's go to the palace!"

It felt like something exploded in my head. Although Ye Lisheng ordered his men to block the news, secrets can't stay hidden forever.

I've heard that deceiving the emperor is a serious crime; I wonder what charge I'll be charged with.

The carriage drove towards the palace, leaving a long trail of tire tracks in the snow.

As if by prior arrangement, the two of them appeared together. Murong Kui wore a blue and white brocade robe with auspicious cloud patterns, her long black hair cascading down like a waterfall, adorned with a pair of auspicious cloud-patterned gold hairpins. She looked dignified and elegant. Although her face was scarred, it did not detract from her beauty; instead, it added a touch of softness, making her instantly endearing and pitiful.

Ye Lisheng wore a blue cloak, a blue and white headband, and his dark hair was tied up with a jade crown. His angular face and straight nose truly befitted the title of the First Young Master.

The two of them sat together like a perfect couple, while I sat alone to the side, sighing inwardly.

"Same face, different faces, how can the difference be so great? It's clearly the same face, one looks noble and refined, the other... sigh!" He could only sigh inwardly, tears streaming down his face.

At this moment, Murong Kui exclaimed with a smile, "If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed that someone could look so much like me!"

I chuckled dryly, thinking to myself, "Ignorant old friend, what do you mean I look like you? You're the one imitating me!"

She then added, "Thank you for taking care of the Prince during this time!"

"Are you trying to get rid of me?" I just smiled and remained silent, wanting to hear what Ye Lisheng had to say.

He gave a cold laugh, his face expressionless, and said mercilessly, "Take care of me? It's good enough if you don't cause me any trouble!"

I immediately got angry: "You surnamed Ye, when have I ever caused you any trouble!"

"Ha! Haven't you caused enough trouble? If you hadn't shamelessly begged me to take you in, I would never have let you set foot in the palace!"

I retorted, not to be outdone, "Have you forgotten when you asked me to impersonate Murong Kui?"

Murong Kui now seemed like an outsider, watching us bicker and sitting there feeling incredibly awkward.

Just as the argument was getting heated, Ye Lisheng suddenly took out a pair of plum blossom hairpins from his bosom and put them in my hair.

I was just about to thank him when he said with a look of disdain, "Don't make yourself look so shabby, like I'm oppressing you!"

"You've gone too far!"

"Where have I gone too far?"

"Everything is going too far!"

Although it was an argument, Murong Kui found it incredibly sweet, and her jealousy soared.

Suddenly she noticed the bracelet on my wrist and asked curiously, "The bracelet on your wrist, little sister!"

"This? It was a gift from Consort Mo!" A smug smile played on her lips as she said it.

"I never imagined that after all this time, Your Highness would have already found Consort Mo! Congratulations, Your Highness!"

She then glanced at my bracelet and said, "I've heard people say that the bracelet on Consort Mo's wrist was a rare item. This must be it!"
