With just two simple sentences, the conflict between the two was resolved, and the blame was directed at me.
"It's all that little bitch's fault!"
Ning Jing chimed in, "It's all because of that little wretch that the Prince doesn't come to see us!"
Liu Ye sighed softly, "Sisters, keep your voices down. Everyone knows that Sister Murong is favored. It wouldn't be good if someone heard us!"
"What are you afraid of? Let's see who dares!" she said, widening her eyes as she looked at the maids.
"Back when Sister Murong was missing, although she didn't come to my courtyard, I could still see the Prince if I went to Sister Yu'er's courtyard!"
Liu Ye's words stirred up Su Yu'er's resentment.
Su Yu'er gave a wicked smile: "Wouldn't it be better if she disappeared?"
Ning Jing leaned closer and asked, "Have you come up with a plan?"
"Let's go, let's go to Mingyu Pavilion and meet her!"
Watching their departing figures, Liu Ye's lips curled into a meaningful smile.
She beckoned to her personal maid: "Go and inform the Prince that Sister Murong is in trouble!"
"Yes, ma'am!"
I was sitting on the swing in the yard when I heard a commotion in the front hall.
"Xiangye, what happened in the front hall?"
"I don't know! I'll go check!"
Just as I was about to go, I saw Su Yu'er and Ning Jing rushing towards us, muttering and cursing something.
Upon seeing me, she smiled and said politely, "Sister Murong, it's so good to see you back alive!"
There's nothing wrong with what they're saying if you listen carefully, but it sounds so awkward coming from their mouths.
"Thank you both for your concern, I've been back for several days now!"
The implication is that I didn't come to see you when I was back, so why am I here now?
The two laughed awkwardly and pushed each other.
Seeing this, I said, "It's hot today, so I've recently developed a new tea. Would you two be interested in staying for a cup?"
Xiangye also spoke up, "I believe neither of you ladies has ever tasted that tea!"
Upon hearing this, Su Yu'er raised her head arrogantly: "Who cares about your tea? I've drunk everything!"
Then she changed the subject and said, "But if you insist on begging me, I'll reluctantly do my part to taste it for you!"
I smiled helplessly and asked Xiangye to bring out the lemon juice I had prepared.
