Foreword

Heaven and hell are separated by a single thought. On the banks of the River of Oblivion, the red spider lily blooms. Legend has it that the red spider lily has two colors: white and red.

The white ones bloom in heaven, while the red ones, also known as spider lilies, bloom in hell.

Hell used to be just as beautiful as the human world. The Bridge of Helplessness was lined with white red spider lilies. A gentle breeze swept by, scattering the years and stunning the world.

A girl in a white dress lies languidly among the flowers, watching the souls crossing the Bridge of Helplessness with her innocent eyes. Sometimes, she can be seen dancing among the flowers.

The white spider lilies have disappeared, replaced by vibrant red ones blooming beautifully. All around is a world of ice and snow, with layers of thick frost reflecting the images of the spider lilies.

Beneath the profusion of flowers, a silver-haired girl lay curled up in pain, her red dress blending seamlessly with the surrounding spider lilies, making her appear alluring and delicate.

A woman walked towards her, her face adorned with a demon mask that terrified her.

She handed her a bowl of Meng Po soup: "To be reborn in the Pure Land, drink this and you will no longer suffer!"

A hint of heartache lingered in the crisp sound.

"He didn't lie to me, did he?" His eyes, red and swollen, looked at her pitifully, yet with a hint of expectation.

"You are a flower fairy, and your spirit can save his lover!" These words, as cold as ice, shattered the last vestiges of her strength, and tears streamed down her cheeks.

He took the Meng Po soup and drank it all in one gulp, then headed towards the Reincarnation Well.

"I swear to the sun and moon, I relinquish my identity as a spirit, and only wish that I will never meet you again in the next life, and that we will owe each other nothing in the next life!"

A bowl of Meng Po soup can erase the unforgettable memories of the past, but it cannot erase the invisible thread of fate that binds the two people together.

No matter how many times they are reincarnated or forgotten, when they meet again one day, the alluring spider lily on their foreheads will guide them.

It was both fate and a karmic entanglement, beginning from the moment they met.

"Seeing you brings me joy, not seeing you brings me sorrow. Come closer, and I have so many sweet words to say to you!"

Someone once said that life and death are a cycle, and many years later, everything you have experienced will be repeated!

"That means I will meet you again!"
