The source of the trouble, besides her striking appearance, was the strange fragrance emanating from her birthmark.
"Grandpa!" Xiao Qi raised her head, her big, bright eyes full of curiosity, staring straight at Han Fei, who was silent and had his eyes closed.
Xiaoqi turned to Xiaoliu, her face full of confusion, and asked, "Brother, what's wrong with Grandpa? Does his eye hurt?"
"Grandpa must have been thinking about something sad. Little Seven, Grandpa asked you to cut your hair to cover your birthmark because he was worried that bad people would covet it and try to obtain this naturally fragrant ability, and then do something to harm you," Little Six explained with a serious face.
"Could there really be such a bad person?" Xiaoqi covered her birthmark, her beautiful, glassy eyes wide open, filled with terror. "Would they cut off Xiaoqi's birthmark and put it on her forehead?"
“Very likely.” Xiao Liu nodded solemnly.
Xiao Qi asked in a terrified tone, "Brother, what should I do?"
"If you don't want to remove the birthmark, cover it with bangs and never let anyone see it, lest it cause trouble."
"Okay!" Xiao Qi's answer was extremely decisive.
Xiao Qi nimbly climbed up from the back seat, jumped out of the car, walked quickly to Han Fei's side, looked up at his grandfather who was still deep in thought with his eyes closed, and gently tugged at his sleeve.
Han Fei opened his eyes, which were slightly red.
He looked down at his cute and beautiful granddaughter.
"I need a haircut!" Xiaoqi urged eagerly. "Grandpa, hurry up, hurry up and take Xiaoqi to get a fringe cut!"
Han Fei led Xiao Qi toward the barbershop, but just as they were about to enter, Han Fei suddenly stopped.
"Grandpa, why aren't you leaving?"
"Xiaoqi, let Grandpa cut your hair."
Han Fei's gaze fell on the carpet in front of the barbershop, a black carpet covered with patterns of red roses.
In the corner of the carpet, an eye is drawn inside a red rose.
Han Fei tightened his grip on Xiao Qi's hand: "Xiao Qi, let's go back to the car."
Xiaoqi looked confused, but seeing her grandfather's unusual expression, the little girl obediently did not refuse and let her grandfather lead her back to the car.
Xiao Liu said sullenly, "Grandpa, my sister finally agreed to get a haircut, why did you change your mind again?"
Han Fei's face darkened: "Go back, I'll cut your sister's hair myself."
Xiaoqi covered her ears tightly, tears welling in her eyes: "Brother, save me! Grandpa's going to cut off Xiaoqi's ears!"
Han Fei asked helplessly, "You really don't trust your grandfather that much?"
Little Qi mumbled in her childish voice, "Grandpa will cut Little Qi's bangs into a watermelon shape that looks like a dog chewed on it! Little Qi doesn't want to turn into an ugly watermelon rind!"
"Grandpa promises to cut it neatly. If it's not neat, Grandpa will shave his head and be ugly with you!"
"If you don't look good, then you'll be ugly with me?"
"Yes, Grandpa promises you."
"Grandpa, pinky promise!"
"Okay, pinky promise."
Xiao Qi blinked her big, bright eyes, and a bald head began to appear in her little mind. Turning around, it was Grandpa's face! She couldn't help but giggle, her two sweet dimples sinking deep, making her extremely cute. Her sweet and adorable eyes looked at Han Fei expectantly.
Xiao Liu, standing to the side, also pictured a bald guy in his mind. The bald guy was wearing sunglasses, had a cigar in his mouth, and was wearing a black leather jacket. He looked incredibly cool!
Meeting the expectant eyes of Xiao Qi and Xiao Liu, Han Fei had a bad feeling.
"Grandpa! Xiaoqi wants Grandpa to cut her hair, wants Grandpa to cut her hair!" Xiaoqi's little hands eagerly grabbed Han Fei's sleeve, as if afraid that Han Fei would regret it.
Xiao Liu winked at his younger sister.
Xiaoqi received a look from her brother, and the tacit understanding they had developed in the Boy Scout training camp instantly took effect. Xiaoqi nodded slightly, blinked, and her lips curled up into a wide smile.
Han Fei drove back and arrived at the courtyard of his self-built house.
Xiao Qi consciously took a small stool and sat down, placing her two little hands neatly on her knees, raising her head, and looking at Han Fei with her big, round eyes full of expectation.
"Grandpa, Xiaoqi is all ready, hurry up and cut my hair!"
Han Fei frowned, holding the scissors. He felt that Xiao Qi's cooperation was a bit too much, as if she was up to no good.
Xiao Liu stood to the side, pursing her lips and trying hard to suppress her laughter.
"I'm going to start cutting now."
"Okay, Grandpa, hurry up!"
"Aren't you afraid I'll ruin your haircut?"
"Xiaoqi believes in Grandpa!"
Han Fei started trimming Xiao Qi's bangs: "Don't move."
"Xiao Qi didn't move."
"I told you not to move!"
"Hehe, Xiao Qi didn't move!"
Han Fei frowned. This little girl was like a tick on his body, constantly fidgeting. If he wasn't careful, he might accidentally poke her eye.
Han Fei put the scissors away: "Xiao Qi, did you do this on purpose?"
"No, I don't!" Xiao Qi shouted urgently, "Brother, hurry, hurry, bring me a mirror!"
Xiao Liu cooperated very well, taking out a mirror from behind her back; she had been prepared all along.
Xiaoqi looked at herself in the mirror, a happy smile on her face, and giggled.
"Grandpa, my bangs are crooked!"
"Grandpa, are you going to shave your head?" Xiao Liu took out a razor from behind his back.
Han Fei's lips twitched: "It's not finished cutting yet."
"I don't want Grandpa to cut it anymore!" Xiaoqi jumped lightly off the stool, put her hands on her hips, and pretended to be angry. "Grandpa, you promised Xiaoqi that if the bangs didn't look good, you would shave your head and be ugly with me!"
Xiaoqi raised her little finger: "But we made a pinky promise, Grandpa, you can't go back on your word, or you'll be a little puppy!"
Han Fei gently rubbed his forehead. So Xiao Qi was cooperating so well because he had a lot of mischief up his sleeve, just to see what he would look like with a bald head.
Han Fei didn't mind, since the weather was getting warmer and shaving his head would actually make him feel more comfortable.
However, it's clear that these two little guys are teaming up to tease him, their grandfather. If he really shaves his head like this, wouldn't his dignity as a grandfather be completely ruined?
Han Fei said with a straight face, "It's not finished cutting yet. It won't look bad once it's done."
"Anyway, Xiaoqi thinks it will definitely look bad, Grandpa, hurry up and keep your promise!" Xiaoqi persisted.
Han Fei looked at Xiao Liu, who handed him the razor, took it, squinted his eyes, and said, "Alright, since Xiao Qi thinks it looks bad anyway, then Grandpa will really cut it as bad as it looks!"
Before Xiaoqi could react, Han Fei had already cut off half of her braid with a pair of scissors, and half of her hair fell to the ground, scattered all over the place.
Xiaoqi froze for two seconds, then burst into tears: "My hair, waaaaah!"
Xiao Liu quickly went over to comfort his sister, while Han Fei approached with a razor and, without giving Xiao Liu time to react, shaved a bald patch off Xiao Liu's hair.
Xiao Liu stood there stunned for three seconds, then reached out and touched his head. He touched a bald spot and fell into a deep, existential daze, as if his computer had crashed.
Xiao Qi, who was crying her heart out, looked up and saw her brother with a receding hairline. She couldn't help but burst into laughter through her tears: "Brother, you've gone bald, are you getting stronger?"
