When the talent scout returned to the filming location, the injury on his face attracted a lot of attention.
These people don't look like a film crew; they're all burly men who look more like bandits.
"What happened?"
"Did you suffer a loss outside?"
Why aren't you saying anything?
The talent scout glanced at them and sighed, "They got tricked by an old geezer and got a beating."
"What's going on?"
"Who else could scheme against you? You're the biggest liar among us!"
"Looks like I've run into an old swindler!"
Tell us about it, so we can have a good laugh.
The talent scout asked impatiently, "Where's the director?"
"They're filming!" someone said with a smirk.
The talent scout frowned: "I think that old guy is difficult to deal with. I need to discuss it with the director. We need to move."
"Move to a new place?"
"Isn't that unnecessary?"
"It's not easy to find such a secluded place."
"You're overthinking it. They already beat you up, but they didn't take you to the police station. That old guy probably doesn't want to make a big deal out of it."
"You know nothing! If I hadn't been alert, we would have been wiped out long ago!"
The talent scout pushed through the crowd and headed towards the innermost dark room.
"Hey, don't you dare spoil the boss's fun!"
"Watch out, or the boss will beat you up!"
The talent scout roared, "I've already been beaten to a pulp, so I'm not afraid anymore!"
The talent scout banged on the door, and a man's foul language came from inside.
"Which bastard is it!" The door opened, and the man, pulling up his pants, glared angrily at the talent scout.
The talent scout shuddered: "Director, something's happened, we have to move."
"The cops are here?"
"no."
"Then what the hell are you talking about!"
"I was beaten up, and the other person wouldn't let me go so easily, but he still let me go."
"You suspect you're being followed?"
"No one was following me."
"Then what the hell are you talking about!"
"No, I really felt something was wrong! Even though I waited for them to leave before walking in the opposite direction, taking a detour, and kept watching behind me to make sure no one was following me, I still felt uneasy and panicked!"
As he spoke, he pressed his eyelids, his face contorted in pain: "My eyelids keep twitching, like something terrible is about to happen! It was the same the last two times; not long after we moved, the old place was surrounded by the police!"
The director's expression turned serious: "Are you sure no one is following us?"
"I'm sure."
"Take off your clothes."
"Huh?" The talent scout covered his clothes.
"Take it off, let me check your clothes."
"Oh, oh, oh."
"Damn it!" The director threw the miniature tracking device hidden in his hoodie hood onto the ground: "You idiot!"
"Retreat! Pack your things and evacuate immediately!"
...
Han Chengda learned of the major incident from his third and fifth brothers and was shocked and frightened: "You guys took too much risks. If he hadn't come alone, your plan wouldn't have succeeded!"
Han Chengshan crossed his legs: "This is Plan A. If he brings people, we also have Plan B to deal with it!"
Xiao Wu exclaimed with admiration, "Grandpa is amazing!"
Han Chengshan nodded: "Yes! Grandpa is a god!"
Han Chengshan was shocked.
It's not surprising that Xiao Wu admires the old man. In fact, ever since the old man saved Xiao Wu, Xiao Wu has always regarded the old man as very important.
Apart from Xiao Qi, who was too young to understand and immediately recognized the old man, it was Xiao Wu who almost immediately called him Grandpa.
It might have been just because of the life-saving grace back then, but now...
That look in his eyes was one of heartfelt admiration and respect!
What he found even more unacceptable was his third brother! The third brother was the most rebellious of all his younger siblings, yet he had started calling that man "Grandpa"!
It wasn't just empty talk; he genuinely accepted the person, his eyes filled with admiration and respect, even more so than Xiao Wu's. He had never seen such a look in this kid's eyes, not even when he went to a temple to offer incense!
Does the third brother treat the old man like a god?
Han Chengda took a deep breath and said with a serious face, "This matter is over."
"Xiao Wu, don't go to training classes anymore. You're still young. Studying hard is the most important thing. Stop dreaming about becoming a star actor!"
Xiao Wu's eyes were filled with tears as she shook her head vigorously, "I don't want to!"
Seeing his expression, Han Chengda softened his tone slightly and said gently, "Getting into university and finding a good job is the right path. Don't try anything shady; it's hard to succeed that way! You've only just gained a little fame and you've already encountered a swindler. What will you do in the future? If you really become a star, you'll encounter even more problems. I don't want you to be in danger. Isn't it better to be an ordinary person and live a peaceful life?"
Xiao Wu stomped her feet excitedly, tears streaming down her face, wailing, "No, no, no! I want to be an actor, I want to be a star, I want to be successful, I want to earn lots and lots of money! Waaah..."
Why are you so disobedient!
"I just won't listen, I just won't listen!"
Han Chengda couldn't help himself and raised his hand, but Han Chengshan quickly grabbed him and said urgently, "Brother, you can't hit him! Xiao Wu was actually very nervous and frightened today! Let's talk it out, there's no rush!"
Han Chengshan turned around and comforted Xiao Wu: "Don't cry, Xiao Qi will laugh at you if she sees you crying."
Xiao Wu threw himself into his third brother's arms and cried uncontrollably, his body trembling.
Han Chengshan patted his back gently, coaxing him, "Don't cry, don't cry..." He glanced at his older brother in between.
Han Chengda: "..."
Xiao Wu cried until he was exhausted and slowly stopped. He lowered his voice, as if murmuring, or perhaps explaining, "Grandma said that houses in the city are nice, with heating. When we save enough money, we'll buy a house in the city. It might be very crowded then, but small houses have their advantages. It'll be very cozy for everyone to live together..."
"Third brother, if I had money, I could give it to Grandma, instead of waiting for her to save enough money to buy a house in the city."
"Third brother, if the whole family moves to the city, will we... will we all survive?"
Han Chengshan trembled violently, his eyes reddened, and he didn't know what to say. He could only hug Xiao Wu tightly to prevent her from seeing him cry.
Han Chengda, standing to the side, pursed his lips tightly and clenched his fists.
"Third brother, Grandma loves watching TV. She watches dramas every day. If I could become an actor, I could film lots and lots of dramas for Grandma to watch, but... but she can't see them anymore, sob sob sob..."
"If I could grow up earlier, if I could start acting and earning money earlier, I could buy houses in the city for everyone, and my grandma could see me acting in TV dramas... I wish so much, I wish so much that she could see me..."
That disaster took away loved ones and left them with indelible trauma.
Han Chengda finally took the matter seriously. He himself was older and found it difficult to get over the grief, let alone Xiao Wu, who was even younger.
Xiao Wu appears lively and cheerful, but that's just on the surface; in reality, she has the most delicate and tender heart.
"Xiao Wu, I... won't stop you anymore."
These words seemed to have exhausted all of Han Chengda's strength before he spoke them. After saying them, he turned and went back to his room.
Han Chengshan saw the tears in his older brother's eyes, sighed, and gently patted Xiao Wu's back: "Your older brother has already promised to let you learn acting, so don't cry."
But Xiao Wu cried even louder: "Third Brother, can I really be an actor? I'm scared... I'm scared."
