The director's expression was rather unpleasant. "Is she really that delicate? Can she even act after coming in here?"
"Give it a try," Xia Baozhu said with a smile. "The director said it won't be long, so it should be fine."
She was just playing a decorative role, without even saying a word; she was just doing it for fun.
Xia Baozhu's words eased the director's expression considerably; thankfully, Miss Xia was a person with her own opinions.
After setting a filming time, the group left the film set, returned to their car, and prepared to go eat.
"Where did Chen Lu go?" Ma Zhaoshi asked Lu Qianqian.
"His cousin is getting married the day after tomorrow, and he went to help out with errands." Lu Qianqian sat in the passenger seat, took her hands out of her pockets, and rubbed them vigorously.
"There was a very beautiful actress in that film crew just now. Do you know her name?" Ma Zhaoshi inquired about the beauty.
"You mean the one with the most headdress, right? Her name is Bai Xuelan," Lu Qianqian replied immediately, then added with a grin, "But she has a boyfriend, he's in the film crew."
"Hey! Why do all the beautiful girls have boyfriends?" Ma Zhaoshi narrowed his eyes. "Looks like I'll have to go to the school to look for one."
"Brother Ma, if you find another one, what about your previous girlfriends? Will they fight if they run into each other?"
Sun Xingyan held Xia Baozhu's hands in his palms to warm them, teasing Ma Zhaoshi.
"Don't worry, your brother Ma always makes sure things are amicable and clean, without any dragging things out."
Ma Zhaoshi had forgotten the time when women had scratched his face, and started boasting.
