After Dalia saw that her accomplice had checked the goods and the price had been agreed upon over the phone, she went to the car and looked at them.
"Indeed, Mrs. Xia is quite brave to come here by herself. It seems that the friendship between the two of you is quite deep."
Dalia didn't miss the way Ma Zhaoshi looked at Xia Baozhu, which made her feel a little jealous, and she couldn't help but make a sarcastic remark.
"The goods have been delivered, can we leave now?" Xia Baozhu looked at the guns in the men's hands and did not refute Dalia's words.
“Okay.” Dalia knew she couldn’t really provoke these people. After all, they weren’t heartless ruthless criminals who only cared about getting their share of the profits. She suppressed her jealousy and nodded to let them go.
"Wait, we can't let them all go out. Let the man go first, but keep the woman and get in the car with us. We'll release her after we leave here."
A man spoke up, his eyes fixed on Xia Baozhu with ill intent, a smirk playing on his lips, and a greasy, disgusting expression on his face.
"You're breaking your promise." Ma Zhaoshi became anxious. Although Xia Baozhu was capable, these people were all carrying guns, and it would be too dangerous to leave them behind.
Moreover, you could tell from the man's tone of voice that he had filthy thoughts about Xia Baozhu.
"Credit? Haha, he told me to keep my word!" The man found it very funny and couldn't help but laugh.
He walked over and punched Ma Zhaoshi, making his stomach churn violently and almost causing him to vomit from the pain.
"Alexei, watch out, our deal is done." Dalia was unhappy to see Ma Zhaoshi being beaten, so she quickly went up and pulled the man away.
"Zhaoshi, I'm sorry, does it hurt?" Dalia touched Ma Zhaoshi's face and said with heartache.
"I'm fine." Ma Zhaoshi maintained his smile towards Dalia, his eyes still seeming to hold affection. "Dalia, can you let go of me now?"
"I'll untie you right now. Please forgive me. After all, we can't stay together forever. I had no choice. I still need to make a living." Dalia apologized as she untied Ma Zhaoshi.
“I understand you. Your parents are in poor health and need to be hospitalized, and you have several younger siblings. They all need money. I was originally planning to give you some money before I left to help you through this difficult time,” Ma Zhaoshi said to Dalia with great seriousness.
Upon hearing this, Dalia's eyes dimmed for a moment, and she paused for a second before quickly untying the ropes binding Ma Zhaoshi.
She pulled him up, kissed Ma Zhaoshi on the cheek, and hugged him tightly: "I'm sorry."
Releasing Ma Zhaoshi, she calmly said, "You may leave."
"Daria, don't think you're in charge here!" Alexei was very dissatisfied that Daria ignored his suggestions.
"Without me, would you have gotten so much money? Get in the car, let's get going!"
Dalia walked toward the car, and everyone except Alexei followed her.
Dalia was the smartest of them all, and with her on board, they did quite well. Only Alexei, who always wanted to take the leadership position, frequently offered his suggestions.
Xia Bao and Ma Zhaoshi met up, but Alexei stopped them with a gun: "No, you have to come with us!"
“Okay, I’ll go with you. Brother Ma, you can go out first.” Xia Baozhu looked at Alexei, who was standing close by, and said to Ma Zhaoshi.
"No, I can't let you go with them."
Ma Zhaoshi clenched his fists tightly, his anger and resentment about to overflow.
He tried to control his expression and shouted to Dalia, "Dalia, I hope we can still be friends when we meet again."
"Alexei, if you're not leaving, we'll be going now!" Dalia opened the car door, let everyone get in, and then started the car.
Seeing that everyone was on Dalia's side, Alexei angrily kicked the trash at his feet and stormed toward the car.
However, he quickly retreated and reached out his hairy, grotesque hand to Xia Baozhu.
Ma Zhaoshi quickly pulled Xia Baozhu behind him and glared at Alexei, saying, "Your time is very precious right now."
"Get away, pretty boy!" Alexei grabbed Ma Zhaoshi's collar and pulled him aside, while continuing to reach out to Xia Baozhu.
Xia Baozhu looked at the thick cement pillar next to her and pulled Ma Zhaoshi to hide behind it.
When Alexei caught up, she quickly grabbed his wrist holding the gun and kicked him in the back of the knee.
Alexei groaned and fell to his knees. Xia Baozhu then struck him hard on the neck with her elbow. He slumped down and collapsed unconscious on the ground. The whole thing took less than half a minute.
Xia Baozhu took a gun out of her cotton-padded coat and handed it to Alexei, who was dumbfounded.
"Hide first, find the right moment to puncture the tires, don't let them escape." Then Xia Baozhu shouted in alarm, "Ma Zhaoshi, are you alright! Ah! Don't come any closer!"
Dalia frowned and told the two men to get out of the car, then pulled Alexei back.
Alexei was the strongest and hottest-tempered of them all. Even though she was worried about Ma Zhaoshi, she remained rational and did not get off the bus.
If Alexei still can't be subdued after this incident, then she'll have to find a way to get rid of him.
Xia Baozhu slapped the first person who came over, sending him flying two meters away. The person immediately fainted, and his face visibly swelled up.
While slapping the second person, Ma Zhaoshi shot and blew out the tires of the car Dalia was riding in.
Dalia, who was preoccupied with how to gather more people and gain more say, was startled by the loud noise.
She shouted anxiously and angrily out the car window, "Alexei, are you crazy? We're running out of time, and you're still causing trouble at a time like this."
Her response was another gunshot, this time hitting her in the shoulder, and she screamed in agony.
The last man in the car, witnessing the sudden turn of events, panicked and then aimed his gun at the leg protruding from behind the concrete pillar, firing it.
The second person who was slapped away was shot in the thigh by his companion while unconscious because he had no cover.
The pain woke him up instantly, but he quickly passed out again.
Ma Zhaoshi and Xia Baozhu simultaneously aimed at the last man in the car and fired.
Sun Xingyan, who was outside, faintly heard gunshots. He ignored the other party's warnings and got into someone else's car.
He took off his fine watch and said to the driver, "Take us there, this is yours, and I'll give you another million Soviet dollars when we get back."
"I don't want Soviet currency, just give me two cases of liquor."
"no problem!"
The driver, a well-known local gang member, whistled as he took the watch, put it on his wrist, and started the car.
"Wait, I'll go with you!" Chen Lu got into the car, and then Du Guofeng followed.
Several plainclothes police officers followed in a car.
