"Wife, you're so good to me." Sun Xingyan, whose pillow talk always worked, happily kissed Xia Baozhu twice, then turned off the light and went to sleep.
Sun Xingyan had a long and boring dream. In the dream, he had a good relationship with Leng Minghui and Lin Shiwan. He had helped Lin Shiwan, which made her mistakenly believe that he liked her. She often flirted with him and said things like "Hurry up and get married. Don't wait for someone you shouldn't be waiting for."
It's ridiculous. He can get married if he wants to; his life doesn't need anyone's opinions.
He traveled the world in his dreams, lingering in different places whenever the mood struck him, but in the end, he still didn't get married. It's a real shame; only those who have been married truly understand how blissful marriage can be.
Sun Xingyan's understanding of the value of this dream was limited to identifying suitable industries for future investment; the rest was meaningless. If he were to live his life like this, he might as well be reincarnated sooner.
Why wasn't the pearl in his dream? Sun Xingyan didn't open his eyes; he was recalling his dream, searching for the answer. Time kept rewinding, but he still couldn't find the pearl.
He suddenly remembered that Leng Minghui in his dream had said that his ex-wife died young. Wasn't Leng Minghui's ex-wife Baozhu?
A chill ran through him instantly, and Sun Xingyan immediately opened his eyes. He touched the cold bed beside him. Where was Baozhu?
He suddenly couldn't tell if he was still dreaming. Was Baozhu a wife he had imagined because he was too bored?
Impossible, absolutely impossible!
Sun Xingyan didn't even put on his shoes; he just grabbed his pajamas from the hanger and hurriedly went out.
"Baozhu! Baozhu! Wife!" he shouted loudly in the living room, searching everywhere, but the house was empty, with no one else there but him.
He slumped onto the sofa, his pajamas unbuttoned, revealing most of his chest, and wearing only shorts, not even pajama bottoms.
Xia Baozhu saw this scene as soon as she entered the house. She thought Sun Xingyan was going to seduce her after the children went to school.
Upon hearing the sound, Sun Xingyan saw Xia Baozhu jump up in surprise, ran barefoot to her, and hugged her tightly in his arms: "Wife, hit me."
"What's wrong?" Xia Baozhu asked with difficulty as she raised her head.
"Hit me first!" Sun Xingyan insisted.
Xia Baozhu gently patted his back.
"Too light, use more force!" Sun Xingyan was dissatisfied with Xia Baozhu's weak application of force.
This time, Xia Baozhu used a bit more force, and Sun Xingyan cried out. He had forgotten that his wife's slightest bit of force could cause excruciating pain.
"That's great, wife, it's not a dream!" Sun Xingyan felt the pain, picked up Xia Baozhu and spun her around three times.
"What's wrong with you?" Xia Baozhu touched Sun Xingyan's forehead; he didn't have a fever.
“I dreamt last night that you weren’t home. When I woke up, I looked for you, but you weren’t there. I thought you were just a figment of my imagination.” Sun Xingyan first briefly summarized his dream, and then described the entire dream in detail.
Xia Baozhu nodded and looked at Sun Xingyan: "Your dream is not wrong. If I hadn't come, you would have lived that kind of life."
"What do you mean you're not coming?" Sun Xingyan asked, his throat feeling dry.
He had always wondered why Xia Baozhu changed her name and why she could do so many things without learning them, unlike a typical rural girl.
For example, when he went abroad or attended a banquet, he was very nervous the first time, and he didn't dare to drink any alcohol, so he secretly poured it away somewhere.
Baozhu, however, acted as if she were at home, calm and natural, without any discomfort.
She learns English very quickly, but her learning speed in Su is average. She also seems to be able to understand other languages.
Her painting, piano skills, shop design, and insights into clothing all seem to be things she learned on her own.
He had many questions, but he never asked them, and he even gave these strange things the air of his wife's innate ability to do so.
Now, hearing his wife admit that she is not the same person she used to be, it felt like a seal in his heart had suddenly broken, and all those questions came rushing back.
Xia Baozhu recounted her origins and then told everything she knew.
When Sun Xingyan heard that Xia Baozhu had never been married and that he was her first man in the true sense, he couldn't suppress the smile on his face.
He also wanted to feign sadness for Xia Baozhu's plight, which had led her from a single, free, wealthy heiress to a married woman with extremely poor conditions in every aspect.
But he couldn't feel sadness; he only felt joy, endless joy.
"Wife, I'm so lucky to have met you. You saved me from my miserable and desolate state." Sun Xingyan hugged Xia Baozhu tightly, leaning against her, overjoyed.
It's quite hateful that a billionaire who has traveled the world would say he's miserable and wretched.
Xia Baozhu smiled as well. She had been thinking about how to tell Sun Xingyan about her background, but now that was solved. Moreover, she liked Sun Xingyan even more for his performance.
"Oh, by the way, wife, I have something to tell you that will make you happy." Sun Xingyan hadn't originally planned to tell Xia Baozhu about this, but now it seemed like it didn't matter.
"What's up?"
"Leng Minghui has had another son."
"What's there to be happy about?" Xia Baozhu asked, puzzled.
"This son is not Lin Shiwan's, but Leng Minghui's mistress in Haicheng. It is said that he has two mistresses, and he stays at their places when he travels to various places on business."
"Wouldn't Lin Shiwan be furious?" Xia Baozhu said happily.
"She was more than just furious. Leng Minghui publicly called her ugly, and she was so angry that she went abroad to get plastic surgery."
