Chapter 25 Boneless Chicken Feet

She spent a lot of money just on lemons. Although lemons are easy to store, they are too sour and few people in the north eat them, so they are expensive.

The cooked chicken feet were scooped out and placed in a basin of cold water to cool down; in this weather, they were cool enough without adding ice.

Remove them from the water and rinse them in cold water again; this will give them a crisp texture.

After draining the water, the next step is to trim the nails and debone the chicken feet one by one.

Before deboning, Xia Baozhu, who was closer to the stove, felt hot, so she put aside the scarf she always wore and put on a modified chef's hat and a large mask.

She checked the sweet potatoes first, squeezed them to make sure they were almost done roasting, then took them out and set them aside so she could eat them when she finished her work.

Put six more small potatoes into the small oven and continue baking.

Now it's time to debone. Make a vertical cut on the chicken foot to find the leg bone inside, and pull it out with a bit of force.

This task wasn't tiring for Xia Baozhu, but it was tedious, and she couldn't wear gloves while doing it.

The rubber gloves she bought were too thick and loose, making it impossible for her to perform delicate tasks.

If only there were medical gloves, those thin, close-fitting gloves would be convenient for doing things. She'll go to the hospital this afternoon to see if she can buy some.

Place the deboned chicken feet into a shiny stainless steel bowl, add the seasoning sauce, and marinate for two to three hours to let the flavors infuse.

Once the task was completed, Xia Baozhu covered the basin with a lid to prevent dust and dirt from getting in.

"Hello." Lu Pingping's voice came from the doorway. "Sun Xingyan? You're here too? Is this your photo studio?"

Sun Xingyan knew Lu Pingping, or rather, he knew almost all the teachers at the school. Although he couldn't remember some of their names, he could at least recognize their faces.

"It wasn't me. My friend liked the decor and environment here and chose to take photos here. Who are you looking for?"

"I heard that Xia rented your house on this street, is this it?" Lu Pingping walked in and looked around the shop, as if she had discovered a new continent.

She heard about this from Teacher Qian this morning, and came to check on it after get off work at noon.

"Yes. Xia Zhaodi, Teacher Lu is looking for you." Sun Xingyan called out to the kitchen.
