Chapter 4 The Thoughts of the Leng Family Mother and Son

The shop signs on both sides of the road are mostly simple wooden or iron, and the words on them are either handwritten or painted.

The shop's facade is not decorated much; it is simple and unpretentious.

The alleys are narrow, while the main streets are wide and flat. Some sections of the road surface are slightly undulating, with occasional potholes where rainwater from the previous night still remains.

Xia Baozhu carefully rode her bicycle to avoid it, afraid that the murky, dirty water inside would splash onto her pants.

Both men and women share a common characteristic: thick, abundant, and incredibly voluminous hair.

Their mental state was also good; it was rare to see them looking listless. Most of them were energetic and full of hope for the future.

A long bus, packed with passengers, with red stripes and a white background, drove past from the opposite direction. It looked like an old man panting heavily, shakily passing by, making Xia Baozhu think it was about to fall apart.

This car should be retired by now.
