Chapter 47 Divorce

Tang Zonglang was forbidden by his family from returning to the capital during the Spring Festival, which made him very depressed.

But the beauty he saw that day captivated him, making him no longer think about the capital and longing to see her again every day.

When he first arrived, he was beaten up by thugs and hospitalized, where he also met the owner of Yelanxuan.

In the capital, such a person wouldn't even deserve to speak to him, but on someone else's turf, he still knew his place.

Although he was arrogant, he understood human relationships better than most people because of his upbringing at home, which is why he was promoted so quickly. Of course, his family's help was definitely a factor in this.

His philosophy of life is to learn to restrain himself and become someone that most people like.

However, in order to find that beauty, he deliberately revealed some of his trump cards to Ye Lanxuan, making them think that it would be easy for him to shut down a restaurant.

Having received Qiu Wenhua's swearing oath, Tang Zonglang immediately rode his motorcycle to Yelan Pavilion, fearing he would miss it again.

As he approached table number 15 step by step, the profile of the woman from his dream finally appeared in his eyes.

He didn't linger, but went straight to table number 16, where he could see the people across from him.

Xia Baozhu felt the gaze from the other side, looked up, and quickly lowered her eyes again, pretending that she had seen it by accident.

She recognized Tang Zonglang and felt somewhat irritated.

From that one glance she saw Tang Zonglang staring blankly with a silly grin on his face, she knew another problem was brewing.

A beautiful woman looks more and more beautiful under the lights.

Tang Zonglang rested his chin on his hand, lost in thought, finding every move of the beauty opposite him a delight to behold.

The four men at her table were all quite far away from her. She smiled slightly at each of them and ate her meal very formally, which indicated that she had no interest in any of them.

What is their relationship?

Tang Zonglang heard them occasionally utter a few words of English and deduced that they were probably classmates who had come for a New Year's reunion.

After finishing their meal, Xia Baozhu paid the bill and went home first. As for Zhu Yiming's suggestion to see her off, Sun Xingyan stopped him.

Let's sing.

"Isn't it dangerous for her to go back by herself at this hour?" Shui Luoyang asked with some concern as he watched Xia Baozhu ride away on her bicycle.

“If you knew her strength, you wouldn’t say that.” Sun Xingyan walked into the hall with his hands in his pockets.

"What do you mean? She's a martial arts master?"

“That’s right, they can take on the four of us.” Sun Xingyan held up four fingers to show his strength.

"Impossible, you've seen it?" Niu Yiming felt like he was listening to a story, like hearing about a willow tree uprooted by its slender waist, it was too fantastical.

"I've seen her. Alright, stop worrying about it. Remember, no matter how beautiful she is, she's still a married woman, don't even think about her. Come on, let's request a song."

"I don't care, but I'm afraid someone might say they don't care, but their actions don't mean it," Feng Jingnian said sarcastically from the side.

"Are you going to sing or not? If not, I'm leaving!"

Sun Xingyan was getting annoyed by their teasing. They insisted on pairing him with a married woman, which was ruining her reputation.

Xia Baozhu rode her bicycle slowly, occasionally seeing a drunkard on the street being helped by his wife and children as he said goodbye to his host family.

Is this wine consumed from day to night?

Tang Zonglang followed behind, hesitating whether to strike up a conversation.

Approaching her at this point would easily be perceived as having ulterior motives, which contradicts his desire to get to know the beauty peacefully.

Xia Baozhu led Tang Zonglang on a long detour, but seeing that he was still stubbornly following her, she lost patience and went straight back to the Leng family.

There was a piece of paper on the table, on which Leng Minghui had written a sentence: Go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get a divorce at eight o'clock tomorrow.

...

Tang Zonglang was excited all night. The next day, he borrowed a car and waited at the entrance of Leng's alley early in the morning, watching Xia Baozhu ride her bicycle out.

Although she was wrapped up tightly, he recognized her eyes at a glance.

He followed Xia Baozhu; when she walked, he walked; when she stopped, he stopped.

Xia Baozhu went to the shop first and found that San Gou had already arrived.

Why are you here today?

"I heard the store reopened yesterday, Sister Xia, why didn't you call me? You can't manage all the work by yourself."

"Fortunately, Xiao Sun's friend came and kept me busy all day yesterday."

"Who are Brother Sun's friends?"

Xia Baozhu recounted the story of Niu Yiming and the others.

The door opened, and Tang Zonglang walked in.

He had been standing outside the door when he saw Xia Baozhu come in, assuming she was buying something. But when he didn't see her come out for a while, he couldn't help but follow her in to check.

"Hello, we are not open for business yet," Xia Baozhu said.

Tang Zonglang looked at her and smiled; it turned out they were so close.

"When will it start?" Tang Zonglang's voice was gentle and clear, just like his appearance, a voice that could make people feel good.

"Tomorrow morning."

Xia Baozhu came here to have breakfast and then rush to the Civil Affairs Bureau before eight o'clock. They didn't plan to open today.

Tang Zonglang slowly looked around, paying particular attention to the business license.

Xia Zhaodi, this name doesn't match her appearance at all.

She deserves a more beautiful name.

Tang Zonglang left, but he didn't go far.

After Xia Baozhu finished breakfast, she told San Gou to lock the door and go home later, as she might not be coming back today.

Tang Zonglang looked up at Xia Baozhu's destination: the Civil Affairs Bureau.

What is she doing at the Civil Affairs Bureau all by herself?

He quickly found the answer.

A well-dressed man stepped out of a black sedan and followed Xia Baozhu into the courtyard of the Civil Affairs Bureau.
