Chapter 68 The shop was vandalized

"How dare you talk to the boss like that?" Old Wang was furious with his nephew.

He begged and pleaded for Hua Wenxing's sake, looking for countless jobs, but Hua Wenxing, that good-for-nothing, ruined them all.

"I want to be a star. I don't want to do these things. Don't introduce me to any more jobs. None of them will amount to anything." Hua Wenxing held his head high, not afraid of angering his uncle at all.

"Boy, how dare you talk like that?" When Li Datu saw this kid spitting at Xia Baozhu, he immediately realized that his chance to show his loyalty had come.

He came over with a large pair of tongs for picking up honeycomb briquettes, pointed at Hua Wenxing and said, "Apologize to Sister Xia and wipe up the phlegm on the ground!"

Huang Jianguo also came over and said, "Apologize."

"I won't. So what? If you dare touch me, I'll call my brothers over and raze your shop to the ground."

Old Wang was completely bewildered. He smiled apologetically at Xia Baozhu and said, "Boss Xia, I'm so sorry for the trouble. I'll take him back right away."

After saying that, Old Wang dragged Hua Wenxing away.

"Sister Xia, are we just going to let him go like this?" Li Datu said indignantly. There were so many of them, and they were bullied by a little brat. It would be a laughing stock if word got out.

"In business, harmony brings wealth." Xia Baozhu smiled, her expression unreadable. "Alright, mop this place a few times, then go do what you need to do."

Xia Baozhu didn't think it was a big deal. If she couldn't even tolerate such a small thing, then she shouldn't be doing business.

Therefore, before leaving get off work in the evening, she would specifically emphasize the phrase "harmony brings wealth," except in special circumstances, such as deliberately preventing them from doing business, deliberately damaging the stall, or deliberately chasing away customers.

To her surprise, around noon the next day, while the shop was busy, Hua Wenxing stormed in with a dozen or so energetic young men, all carrying sticks.

"Smash this shop!" Hua Wenxing's words immediately frightened the customers, who ran out of the store.

An Yuesheng didn't go out. He was originally at the back of the line, but now he ran to the counter and said, "Don't you have any concept of the law? What you're doing is illegal."

"Get out of here! If you keep babbling, I'll hit you too!" Hua Wenxing grabbed An Yuesheng by the collar, causing him to stumble, and slapped him again.

Xia Baozhu pulled out a rolling pin and flicked it at the wooden sticks that were about to smash the counter.

The seven or eight people behind Hua Wenxing rushed into the kitchen immediately, hitting the thermos with wooden sticks, spilling the milk tea all over the floor.

I'll fucking kill you!

A string of profanities, accompanied by the shattering of pots and pans and the fury of everyone in the kitchen, turned the restaurant into complete chaos.

Xia Baozhu came out from behind the counter, threw An Yuesheng, who had run over to protect her, outside, and took a rolling pin and a rolling pin with her.

The smug Hua Wenxing was the first to be greeted by the rolling pin. The pin landed squarely on his back, sending him flying against the wall. His body slid down the wall and he passed out.

The moment Xia Baozhu turned around, she heard the sound of the glass counter breaking, and immediately threw the rolling pin in her hand at the person who broke the glass.

Avoiding the gust of wind from behind, Xia Baozhu grabbed the long stick, and without even looking, swung it across, resulting in another thud as it hit the ground.

After dealing with the first few people, Xia Baozhu ran to the kitchen, which was a mess, with oil, milk tea, and various ingredients mixed all over the place.

Xia Baozhu didn't mind the dirt anymore. She stepped into the pile of mixture and swung a wooden stick at the two men who were beating up the three dogs.

The floor was slippery, which affected Xia Baozhu's performance, so she simply jumped onto the kitchen counter and knocked down any thugs near her.

An Yuesheng was thrown out by Xia Baozhu and returned with an incredulous expression.

He felt a pang of anxiety as he looked at the people lying on the ground in the front hall, groaning in pain. He quickly ran to the kitchen door.

He saw his goddess standing on the table, dodging attacks from others while using a long stick to knock down one thug after another.

That's amazing!

An Yuesheng clenched his fists tightly, worried about Xia Baozhu's safety while excitedly watching her defeat the bad guys.

Li Datu and the others were both angry and annoyed after being hit a few times, but there were too many people, and two fists could not fight against four palms. Moreover, these people were all carrying long sticks, so they could only passively take the beating.

Seeing Xia Baozhu wreaking havoc, he immediately felt his blood boil.

"Sister Xia, well done!" Li Dapao shouted, bravely rushing towards the young thug who had just stunned him, and smashing the basin in his hand hard against the thug's face.

An Yuesheng looked around, picked up a fallen wooden stick, and rushed in, smashing it against a thug who was still standing.

The wooden stick struck the other person, but the impact made his hand hurt.

The thug didn't fall, but An Yuesheng did, because the ground was too slippery and he hadn't paid any attention to the ground when he came over.

His body stopped just as he closed his eyes, about to make intimate contact with the mixture on the ground.

An Yuesheng's collar was caught by Xia Baozhu, who jumped down.

The battle lasted only five minutes; in those five minutes, all of Hua Wenxing's dozen or so men were defeated by Xia Baozhu.

"Thank you." An Yuesheng stood up and grinned at Xia Baozhu. This was the first time he and Xia Baozhu had been so close, and his restless heart was pounding wildly.

"I should be thanking you for your generosity. Out of so many customers, you were the only one who stayed. I'll give you a 30% discount next time you come to buy something."

"No need, no need, I wasn't much of a help." An Yuesheng scratched his head sheepishly.

"I am grateful for your kind gesture. You haven't eaten yet, so go and eat first. Don't make it late for work."

An Yuesheng left, his heart filled with emotion.

"Throw these people outside," Xia Baozhu said to the people in the shop.

The street outside the store was crowded with people, most of whom had just bought something.

"Who did the proprietress offend? Her perfectly good shop has been vandalized; how can she possibly stay in business?"

"It's hard to say. I heard that the proprietress is divorced."

"Really? No wonder she only hires male employees."

"Stop talking nonsense. What did the boss's wife do to offend you that you're making up stories about her?"

"Yeah, you're just wasting your breath, throwing mud at people as soon as you open your mouth. I'd say you go to the women's bathhouse to peep at the bathers every day."

"Don't talk nonsense, you're the one who went to the women's bathhouse to peep."

"Alright, has the police gone yet?"

"We went there a long time ago, and the police will be here soon."

"Look, someone's coming out of the store!"

An Yuesheng felt extremely uncomfortable as soon as he stepped outside, surrounded by onlookers. He pretended to be calm and quickly left.

"Hey, what's going on inside?" someone shouted to An Yuesheng.

“They’ve all been beaten down.” An Yuesheng stopped, turned around, and shouted back with a victorious smile.
