Chapter 209 Shiguang Photo Studio

After the Lantern Festival Gala, Fan Hua became a celebrity in the entire military compound. Some military wives really admired Fan Hua's talent and greeted her warmly every time they saw her, while others were even more jealous of Fan Hua, such as Zhou Xue and Zhao Xiaoyan.

Zhao Xiaoyan was fine. She simply thought that Fan Hua had helped Zhao Yilu gain face in front of the leader, and was worried that the leader would have a better impression of Zhao Yilu and would give priority to Zhao Yilu for promotion in the future.

But after all, she had worked with Fan Hua, and there was still some friendship between them. Even her own man praised her for her good performance at the Lantern Festival Gala, so she had no other thoughts except to make a few sarcastic remarks about Fan Hua when they met.

But after the Lantern Festival Gala, Zhou Xue completely hated Fan Hua!

She was originally the most beautiful literary lady in the military compound. Everyone who saw her would praise her for her beauty and talent! But since Fan Hua came, when people talked about beautiful and talented girls, the first person they thought of was no longer her, but Fan Hua!

What's more, after the Lantern Festival performance, she overheard Director Wu of the art troupe going to Zhang Jihong to inquire about Fan Hua, hoping to invite Fan Hua to work in the art troupe.

Later, when he heard Zhang Jihong say that Fan Hua was still in college, he gave up with regret. However, he still said that when there were major performances in the troupe in the future, he would go to Fan Hua to help out!

Zhou Xue was so jealous that she wanted Fan Hua to disappear from the military compound immediately. Why did she do that? Why did Fan Hua take away the attention and praise that originally belonged to her as soon as she came? Zhou Xue even had a twisted feeling in her heart that if Fan Hua was not there, even Zhao Yilu should have been hers. It was Fan Hua who took away the man she loved!

Zhou Xue wanted Zhao Yilu to divorce Fan Hua and wanted Fan Hua to disappear completely from the military family compound!

Fan Hua, who was busy like a top every day, used the last few days of her vacation to help Fan Youcheng decorate the photo studio after finishing the Lantern Festival party. She wanted to open the studio together with him on the 20th day of the first lunar month when school started!

She was completely unaware that a danger was quietly approaching her...

Fan Hua took Fan Youcheng to order some necessary furniture, lighting, paints and other auxiliary equipment for photography.

She made full use of her identity as an art student, setting up the scenery herself, making background boards, props, and painting on the walls of the house.

Although the backgrounds for photos in this era are relatively simple, most photo studios use simple solid-color velvet cloth as the background.

But how could Fan Hua, who came from more than 40 years later, tolerate such a conventional background for taking photos?

Except for the innermost bedroom reserved for Fan Youcheng as his private space, Fan Hua made use of all the other places.

On the main wall of the living room, she placed a background curtain that can be rolled and changed in color by pulling a rope to meet the needs of different styles. She painted the other walls with colorful paintings, which, together with props, can be used to take photos in different styles.

For example, on one wall, Fan Hua painted the most popular Tiananmen Square of this era; on another wall, Fan Hua painted the most popular European-style wardrobe dressing mirror, and placed a retro green leather sofa in front of it; on another wall, Fan Hua painted a wall full of books to cater to the characteristics of the students of Yangcheng University, and placed a wooden table and a few books in front of it...

Even the restaurant Fan Hua has made it feel like a tasteful Western restaurant through the use of scenery and paintings, so that photos can be taken in a very bourgeois style.

Her painting skills are already superb, and the background wall is also designed with the most suitable angle and proportion for taking photos. As long as you stand in the position she arranges and take photos, you can basically make them look real.

After several days of hard work, she finally finished painting several walls at top speed. The entire photo studio not only looked like a photo studio, but also more like an art gallery.

These days, Fan Youcheng would be amazed every time he saw Fan Hua complete a wall.

After Fan Hua had finished decorating the whole house, Fan Youcheng couldn't help but massage Fan Hua's shoulders and said with a smile: "Little sister, I'll ask around to see if there are any houses for rent nearby. If there are, I'll move out. You can also paint the wall of the other bedroom. The paintings are really beautiful. These two rooms are not enough. You don't have enough space to show your talents!"

Fan Hua sat on the chair and enjoyed Fan Youcheng's service, turning her neck from time to time. She was really tired!

"Brother, this scale is enough for you to start, young man, don't worry, the photo studio will definitely get bigger and bigger in the future! I've been almost exhausted these past two days. You think painting is easy, but it's all to save you money!"

"Yes, sister, if you say we can make it big, then we can! Although I don't know what other people's photo studios are like, ours is definitely the most unique! Now that the interior is almost ready, sister, do you think we should hang a plaque outside? Otherwise, how will people know that this is a photo studio?"

Fan Hua stood up and shook her shoulders, pointing to a wooden board at the door. "Brother, do you see that wooden board at the door? It's used to make a sign. Oh, go buy some firecrackers. How can we open the business tomorrow without firecrackers? I'll go paint the sign now!"

"Okay, then I'll go buy firecrackers first. Is there anything else you want to buy?" Fan Youcheng asked.

Fan Hua thought for a moment, then took out a few candy tickets from her bag and handed them to Fan Youcheng, "Buy some more fruit candies and snacks. Tomorrow is a good day for the opening. Anyone who comes to the store to inquire can be treated to some candy or snacks."

Fan Youcheng looked at Fan Hua in disbelief, "Sister, how much does this cost? Candies and snacks are not cheap! Are you just going to let them eat them for free?"

Fan Hua nodded, "Yes, when the time comes, cut the snacks into small pieces and put them on a plate. When people come, they can just take a small piece. I won't ask you to give more. You can just buy fruit candies, which are cheaper..."

"Brother, just do as I say and provide good service. This way, even if our technology is not as good as other photo studios at the beginning, we will leave a good impression on people and spread our reputation as soon as possible."

Fan Youcheng nodded as if he understood, and went out to buy it as Fan Hua requested. Although he was still a little reluctant, he believed that what his sister said was right, so he just had to listen and do as she said.

After Fan Youcheng left, Fan Hua began to paint the plaque. She had already painted the long wooden board with white primer in advance, and it was now dry.

Fan Hua first drew a cartoon camera on the left side of the wooden board, and then wrote a few words in a beautiful font on the right side of the camera: "Shiguang Photo Studio". Finally, she wrote an extra line of small words at the bottom: "Pick up the precious time and freeze the unforgettable moment".

After finishing everything, Fan Hua looked at the room full of her masterpieces and felt a great sense of accomplishment. Although she was physically tired these days, immersing herself in painting was a kind of spiritual relaxation for her. She had not felt this way for a long time.

Fan Hua has loved painting since she was a child. She doesn’t like to copy others, but likes to create what she wants. So even though she was admitted to the top national art academy with the first place in both cultural and professional subjects, she still chose design as her major when she went to college instead of choosing those majors that require further study in painting. Compared to simply painting, she wanted to use her painting skills to create something useful!

Fan Hua believed that this Shiguang Photo Studio was just a small beginning. It was already the 1980s, and she now had some initial start-up capital. She would soon be able to start her own business! After traveling through a book, one must come up with something to avoid embarrassing the traveler!
