Chapter 108: Eating Candy (2/2)

Seeing that the resistance on Tang Wan's face was too obvious, Qin Zheng's expression softened a little and he tried his best to coax Tang Wan.

"Wanwan, be good. I'll give you a piece of candy after you finish drinking." Qin Zheng spoke in the same coaxing way as he would a child.

Although Tang Wan really didn't want to drink, she had to admit that Qin Zheng's trick was quite effective.

When Tang Wan was young, she saw other parents coaxing their children to take medicine in the hospital like this, but after she died, there was only the aunt accompanying her in the ward.

Even her aunt wouldn't treat her like a child, but would calmly reason with her: "If you don't take the medicine, you'll get an injection."

If she tried to make a fuss, she might be coaxed.

But she wouldn't make a fuss at that time. She was taught since she was a child to be a good child, to be the best and not to cause trouble to others.

Now here she actually experienced the feeling of being coaxed like a child.

No need to cry.

Tang Wan reached out and took the bowl of medicine from Qin Zheng's hand, brought it over and drank it all in one gulp.

Tang Wan had finished the medicine before Qin Zheng could react.

Seeing Qin Zheng still standing there, Tang Wan put the bowl in his hand.

The queen stretched out a hand, palm facing up, and tilted her head to look at Qin Zheng: "I'm done, where's my candy?"

Qin Zheng was stunned for a moment.

Tang Wan's expression changed immediately, and she was about to withdraw her hand: "You're not lying to me, are you?"

There was already a hint of grievance in Tang Wan's tone, and the ending tone was trembling.

Qin Zheng shuddered and reached out to grab Tang Wan's hand before she could take it away: "Yes, there is candy, I'm not lying to you."

As Qin Zheng spoke, he took out a small paper bag from his pocket and put it in Tang Wan's hand.

Tang Wan looked at the candy in her hand and smiled, then she closed her hand with satisfaction and opened the paper bag.

But before she could open it, Qin Zheng suddenly reached out and took the paper package away: "I forgot, there are five candies in it, but you can only eat one today."

Seeing Tang Wan still staring at him blankly, Qin Zheng softened his voice and explained, "These are all yours. I'll give them to you later, but you can only eat one today. Eating too much will suppress the effects of the medicine. Besides, it's evening now, and eating too much candy will damage your teeth."

As Qin Zheng spoke, he took out a candy from the paper bag and motioned for Tang Wan to open her mouth.

Only then did he carefully wrap up the remaining candy and put it away.

Tang Wan felt the sweetness in her mouth.

This is a hard candy, the kind you buy from the supply and marketing cooperative.

It's so sweet that it washes away all the bitterness inside.

Qin Zheng continued, "I've tried it. This candy is sweet. If you take one after taking the medicine, you won't have to worry about the bitter taste. Does your mouth still taste bitter now?"

Tang Wan shook her head.

"It's delicious. Do you want to try it?" Tang Wan put the hard candy in her mouth aside and spoke a little unclearly.

Qin Zheng looked at the paper bag in his hand and shook his head: "I don't want to eat it."

He doesn't like to eat these sweet things, and he put these on his body specifically for Tang Wan to take medicine.

"But this candy is very sweet. Are you sure you don't want to try it?" Tang Wan sucked on the candy, one side of her cheek was a little swollen, and she tilted her head to look at Qin Zheng.

Qin Zheng looked at the candy and was about to say that he didn't like sweet things, but he saw Tang Wan open her mouth and let him see the pink candy.

Qin Zheng couldn't take his eyes off her.
