Chapter 25: Ending (2/2)

Her words made Luo Ying's eyes light up: "He is a very nice person, really a very nice person!"

Luo Ying also emphasized it.

"Let's stop talking. The movie is over. Let's take you home." Luo Ying quickly composed himself and said, taking Tang Wan's arm.

Tang Wan looked over and saw that the movie was over.

Some people had already dragged their stools back, but many more gathered here and refused to leave. Some were dancing and excitedly discussing the plot of the movie they had just watched, while others were joking in groups of three or four.

There are people from several villages who can come here, but those who grew up here know people from the neighboring villages pretty well.

Just like Dongzi and Luo Ying, who have nothing to do with each other, know each other.

Many people took this opportunity to reminisce about the past, but not many of them were truly happy.

Especially those people who were sent to the educated youth camp, none of them wanted to go back.

The educated youth usually only met villagers in the village, but now they could also meet educated youth from other brigades. When they got together now, even if they didn't know each other, they had common topics to talk about. When they talked about the home they couldn't return to, they felt even more worried.

They were afraid that they would be like the educated youth who went to the countryside before them, forced to take root here and never be able to return to where they came from.

They were looking forward to it and worried about it, but no one dared to speak.

Just getting together and talking about the scenes at home can soothe the loneliness after going to the countryside.

It seemed that everyone was more excited this night because of the movie.

"No need. I'll go find Grandma Bai later. You guys go back first." Tang Wan shook her head and refused.

Seeing this, Luo Ying didn't say much and took Cuicui and the other person back to the main group.

Seeing the two people walking away, Tang Wan walked towards Grandma Bai.

Grandma Bai didn't sit next to Qin Zheng. Maybe there were some people of that age in the village, and they became confused while sitting there while watching a movie.

Now Qin Zheng is standing by, seemingly waiting for Grandma Bai to come back.

Tang Wan walked slowly to Grandma Bai's side, put her arm around her without saying a word.

Grandma Bai looked up at her and asked softly, "What's wrong?"

"I want to go back and stay with you for one night today. Is that okay?" There was a barely perceptible tremor in Tang Wan's voice.

Grandma Bai agreed immediately: "Of course you can, dear. If you have any problems, go back and tell grandma. Okay, okay, okay."

Grandma Bai said this, half-hooking Tang Wan and heading outside.

Qin Zheng stood at the edge of the venue and watched the two people coming over. When he saw Grandma Bai bringing Tang Wan over, he looked at Grandma Bai and asked with his eyes what had happened.

Grandma Bai shook her head and indicated that they should go home and talk about it later.

Qin Zheng followed the two of them silently, like a bodyguard, causing the young people who were originally paying attention to Tang Wan to restrain their gazes and no longer dare to look at Tang Wan.

Everyone else's gazes were restrained, but Qin Zheng's was not.

His eyes swept over Tang Wan's body, from the curve of her back to the slightly flared hem of her skirt.
