Chapter 80: Drunk
"No thanks." Tang Wan rejected Zhao Dong's invitation.
Zhong Ling hadn't said a word since Zhao Dong started talking. Only when she heard Tang Wan's refusal did her expression relax a little.
"There is no ox cart coming to town today. Did you come with Qin Zheng? Why didn't you have dinner together?" Zhong Ling began to ask questions.
"He's in love." Tang Wan pointed to the front, "I'll go order the food first."
After Tang Wan ordered her meal, she went over and sat down on the other side of the table.
He didn't even look at Zhong Ling and Zhao Dong again.
Even without seeing it, Tang Wan could sense that Zhong Ling had great malice towards her from the first moment she saw her.
This was something she hadn't had before, or rather, she had hidden all of this before.
Now I can no longer hide it.
Tang Wan was sure that she had not done anything that would make Zhong Ling wary during this period of time, so the reason was not her fault.
Zhong Ling and Zhao Dong arrived early, and by the time Tang Wan's meal was ready, they had already finished eating and were about to leave.
Zhong Ling said goodbye to Tang Wan, and Zhao Dong also said goodbye.
Maybe it's because a secret known only to two people can make people feel closer.
Zhao Dong and Tang Wan feel more familiar with each other because they know the same secret.
Zhong Ling saw all of this, and her palms were already marked with pinch marks.
But in the end, he didn't say anything.
After the two of them left, Tang Wan stayed to eat by herself.
I originally thought that I might meet Dongzi and Luo Ying here. Since these two people came to town, they should come here for lunch.
But Tang Wan didn't see the two of them come after dinner.
After dinner, Tang Wan went back to the yard.
She had no other reason to come to the town today. She had originally planned to see if Zhong Ling contacted the people in the supply and marketing cooperative to resell on the black market as in the original book.
But I didn't see her meeting the person from the supply and marketing cooperative.
However, the encounter at the hotel also made Tang Wan confirm her thoughts.
Zhong Ling's hatred for her increased dramatically.
Tang Wan had no doubt that if Zhong Ling had been filled with such hatred at the beginning, she would have watched her drown by the river before she would have given up.
Tang Wan decided to go back and find out what exactly caused Zhong Ling to hate her so much after they got married.
But Qin Zheng never came back.
Tang Wan waited in the yard at first. Although the door was closed from the inside, it was not locked from the outside. Qin Zheng would probably knock on the door when he came back.
It was from noon, and when the sun was about to set, Tang Wan still didn't wait for Qin Zheng to come back.
When Qin Zheng left, he didn't say how long he would be gone, he just told Tang Wan to eat by herself at noon.
I didn't expect that he wouldn't come back until later.
At the beginning, Tang Wan could still wait leisurely in the yard.
Later, when I was bored, I even looked around the yard, including the room.
There is really nothing here.
There was only a bed in the inner room and some simple furniture.
Qin Zheng should have stayed here overnight, the bed was made very clean.
Apart from this, there is nothing else.
Tang Wan even counted how many blades of grass there were in the yard.
When the sun had completely set, Tang Wan went to the state-owned restaurant and bought a few buns. She ate one herself and left the rest for Qin Zheng.
She basically didn't waste any time going back and forth, for fear that Qin Zheng wouldn't be able to open the door when he came back.
Even when she returned, there was still no one outside the door.
Qin Zheng did not come back.
