It's like I didn't see the child from beginning to end
All members of the Nan family went to the battle line and followed Nan Qiao's bed back to the ward.
The pregnant women and their families were all amazed at the scene. They all speculated what kind of wealthy family it was. The people were wearing cashmere coats and brand new Zhongshan suits. Even the watches on their wrists were different from what they had seen before.
The ward where Nanqiao was staying was a single room that had been booked in advance. It was quite spacious, so even though there were many of them, it wasn't too crowded.
The two children fell asleep, so Nan's mother put them in the cribs in the hospital. Looking at Sheng Yanchuan who was guarding Nanqiao's bed, Nan's mother whispered
"Yanchuan, you stay here and look after the child. We'll go back and prepare some food and supplies for Qiaoqiao and the child. Come back later."
"Okay, mom," Sheng Yanchuan replied, his eyes never leaving Nanqiao's face.
"My dear relatives, thank you for taking care of this place. I will come over later and take over your shift. I will ask Nanbo and Nian Nian to stay here. If you need any errands, just call them."
"Okay, okay, I just went to the hospital cafeteria to make some food for Qiaoqiao. I'll feed her when she wakes up. I just asked the doctor, and he said she can eat as long as she passes gas."
Nan's mother nodded and said, "Thank you for your hard work."
She was thinking that there was a pregnant woman in the village. Although both of them were daughters-in-law, at least they had more people to take care of her. She couldn't let Aunt Xiumei stay here all the time, so she wanted to go back and prepare some food for Nanqiao while Qiaoqiao was still asleep, and bring all the things for the child.
This way Aunt Xiumei and the others can go back earlier, which is better for both sides than wasting time.
Nan's mother thought about it and quickened her pace. She had to hurry up. There were still things going on in Shanghai. If they were not really worried about Nanqiao, they would not have come this time. Right now, she had to speed up and make more ready-made things for Nanqiao during the few days she was here.
