Although An Che is not as violent as An Guo, he is very determined. He will not give up on his own ideas no matter what others say. He is very stubborn, but he will listen to An Ran and is very receptive to advice.
"Alright, alright, I won't talk to you anymore. Dad will give you a bath. It's time for lunch later." Sheng Yanchuan said as he stood up and picked up An Ran on one side, holding An Che with his other hand.
"Let's go, Xiaoran, go find mom, and dad will give brother a bath and change his clothes."
An Ran in Sheng Yanchuan's arms nodded and said in a baby voice, "Xiao Ran, do you want to take a bath too?"
"Xiao Ran, do you want to take a shower?" Sheng Yanchuan asked as he kissed his daughter's chubby face.
An Ran's face was itchy after being kissed by her father. She scratched her face with her chubby little hands, smelled herself, and then said, "Xiao Ran still smells good. Xiao Ran, I'll take a bath tonight. It's very hard for mom to give Xiao Ran a bath."
"Okay, Xiaoran, wash it at night."
"Hey, why are you all here?" Sheng Yanchuan came out of the bedroom and saw Sheng Yanchuan and the two little ones coming in from outside.
"Auntie Zhou is almost done with cooking. I'll take Xiao Che to take a bath."
"Then let me take Xiaoran," Nanqiao said, reaching out to take Anran. Anran hugged Nanqiao's neck and buried her head in her mother's neck.
"Mom smells so good, Xiaoran likes it so much." Anran is very attached to Nanqiao. Basically, when Nanqiao is at home, Anran is always around Nanqiao, whether playing games or reading picture books that Nanqiao has given them. Sometimes, when Nanqiao has to go out for work, Anran will wait at the door, playing and reading picture books, just waiting for Nanqiao to come back.
"Mom likes Xiaoran too. Xiaoran smells good." Nanqiao said as she hugged Anran and sat on the sofa, letting Xiaoran lie in her arms and play with the toys in her hands.
Nanqiao started to speak to Anran in a foreign language, and Anran, despite her young age, could speak fluently.
Nanqiao started to communicate in English and Chinese since Anran and Anche started to speak, and gradually added some French words and sentences to create a good language atmosphere. When she was young, she learned languages by traveling abroad with her parents. Naturally, she knew that it would be easier for children to learn these in such a language environment. Since she couldn't go abroad at the moment, she created such an environment.
Over the past few years, not only An Ran and An Che, who were just learning to speak, but even Sheng Yanchuan had learned a lot, and daily communication was not a big problem.
At first, Nanqiao was a little worried that the two kids would speak foreign languages when they went out, which might be a bad idea if they were discovered. But gradually, she found that the two kids spoke different languages depending on what the other person was saying. In their area, the number of people who could speak foreign languages could be counted on one hand, so Nanqiao felt relieved. So, apart from Nanqiao and his wife and Taohua, no one knew that Anran and Anche could speak these languages.
Even Aunt Zhou at home thought that the two children were just learning to speak and were just talking nonsense, and didn't think of it as a foreign language at all.
Nanqiao and Anran were waiting on the sofa for Sheng Yanchuan and An Che to come out. Everyone, including Aunt Zhou, sat down at the table to eat.
"Auntie Zhou, take a day off tomorrow. We are going back to the village tomorrow," Nanqiao said.
"Okay, I'll go back and rest for a day, and come back the day after tomorrow morning."
"Okay, Aunt Zhou, there is something I want to tell you in advance." Aunt Zhou has taken good care of the Nanqiao family in the past few years, so although it is an employment relationship, Nanqiao is very polite to Aunt Zhou.
"Qiaoqiao, are you going to talk about the college entrance examination?" Aunt Zhou asked
"Yes, we both want to take the exam in Shanghai, and then go back to Shanghai to live, so I was thinking if you would like to go with us."
Nanqiao said, fearing that Aunt Zhou would feel embarrassed, he added, "But it depends on your opinion."
"I... I wonder if I can go with you?" Aunt Zhou didn't dare to think that she could follow Sheng Yanchuan and his wife to Shanghai. When she came in the morning and heard others say that the college entrance examination was resumed, she had already made up her mind not to work in the Sheng family.
"Of course you can. As long as you are willing, we will keep your salary as before, and you can live with us if you go," Nanqiao said with a smile.
Aunt Zhou's eyes turned red as she listened to Nanqiao's words.
She was also from a nearby village. Her family married her to a widower in the town for the dowry. Her husband treated her very well, but fate was not always satisfactory. Less than a year after they got married, her husband died in an accident, but her parents only wanted to marry her off again. She broke up with her family because of this. Her husband's parents also passed away a few years ago, leaving only her eldest sister-in-law with whom she had a bad relationship. So she has been living on her own for the past few years.
The appearance of Sheng Yanchuan, Nanqiao, and the two children is like a ray of light in her life.
Over the past few years, she has truly taken care of An Ran and An Che as if they were her own grandchildren. She is really reluctant to leave.
She is free here and is happy to be with the children.
"I do, I do"
"Auntie Zhou, please take care of anything you can pack during this period. We will be ready to leave after we get the admission letter," Nanqiao said with a smile. As for whether he could pass the exam, Nanqiao was not worried at all. The college entrance examination had just been resumed and there were not many subjects. The couple had never fallen behind in their studies and were very confident about the college entrance examination.
"Don't worry, I don't have much stuff, I can pack it up quickly!" Aunt Zhou said happily while picking up some food for the two children.
After lunch, the four of them spent the afternoon together, some reading, some playing, while Aunt Zhou hummed a little tune and embroidered a handkerchief for An Ran. She was in a particularly good mood.
The next morning, Nanqiao and Sheng Yanchuan brought the two little ones back to the village.
