"Okay, I'll leave this to you. Bring some cakes and pastries back from the store when you go back. Don't go back empty-handed." Nanqiao looked at Lingling and gave her a warning. This little girl was good in everything except these things. She was afraid of disappointing her trust, so she seldom touched the small cakes and pastries prepared by the store for the staff, let alone taking them out.
"I know, thank you Sister Qiao," Lingdang said gratefully.
"Okay, then you decide. If you have anything, call home or come over directly. I'll be there every night."
"Okay, Sister Qiao." Nanqiao saw her answer and took her things and left.
Watching Nanqiao leave, Lingdang's gratitude was beyond words. She was different from the other girls in the store. They were all exploited by their families. Nanqiao gave them a way out.
She came here after hearing from a little sister that she wanted to open a shop.
Her parents were framed and imprisoned in a cowshed for several years. Although they have been rehabilitated, they did not receive any subsidies or other compensation because they were not highly educated.
The house they used to live in was taken back. They had no money and no place to live. Even the so-called relatives...even if they were rehabilitated, they were worried that their family would bring trouble to them and avoided them. They had no choice but to apply to the village chief for a small courtyard and settled down there.
During the years of relocation, Lingdang's parents lived frugally and gave all their food to Lingdang. However, the couple fell ill due to years of heavy labor. Lingdang was young and could not find a suitable job because of her experience of being relocated. In order to treat her parents' illness and support the family, Lingdang found Nanqiao and recommended herself.
Facts have proved that she made the right choice. Nanqiao gave her this opportunity. Although she is not able to bring her parents to the city for treatment, she will soon be able to do so with her current income.
Nanqiao actually mentioned to her that he would lend her money for medical treatment first, but Lingdang refused. Her parents' illnesses were accumulated over many years of hard work and were not acute. So she rejected Nanqiao's kindness at the time and only said that she would work hard and would ask Nanqiao if she needed help.
Nanqiao left the store and rode his bike straight home. He went back to his room to take a shower and change clothes, then came out and took Xiaoran and Xiaoche to play with the other two kids next door.
Chen Nian, Ying Xue, and Nan Qiao sat aside and chatted until it got dark. Sheng Yanchuan came to pick them up, and Nan Qiao took the two children and Sheng Yanchuan home together.
"Yanchuan, does the printing factory you contacted before know any factory that can cut paper boxes?" Nanqiao asked, holding Xiaoran's hand.
Sheng Yanchuan thought for a moment and said, "The printing factory has these equipments, what are you going to do?"
"I want to get some paper boxes. I've already drawn the sizes."
"It's OK, but you have to fold the box yourself when you get it back. The factory doesn't take care of that."
“That’s no problem,” Nanqiao replied. It’s just folding a paper box. There are so many people in the store, so there’s no problem folding them all. If it doesn’t work, I can spend some money to find someone else to fold them.
"Then give me the drawings when you get back. I'll arrange it tomorrow and it should be ready within a week." Sheng Yanchuan took the job directly. The printing factory has had a lot of cooperation recently, and Sheng Yanchuan gave the gifts without blinking an eye. It shouldn't be a problem to get a batch of boxes.
"Okay, thank you." Sheng Yanchuan solved the problem for her, and Nanqiao generously kissed Sheng Yanchuan on the cheek.
"This is not enough," Sheng Yanchuan hinted with a smile.
The two kids walking in the middle saw their mom kissing their dad, and they didn't care. They pulled Nanqiao's skirt and asked for kisses, while pushing their dad away in disdain, because they felt that their dad got kissed by their mom first.
"Mom, mom, Xiaoran wants a kiss."
"Xiao Che wants a kiss too."
The two little ones were just about to grab their mother's clothes and climb up
Nanqiao squatted down with a smile and kissed the two little ones on the face, and the atmosphere finally calmed down.
"Let's go home. Grandma Zhou is waiting for us to eat." Nanqiao rubbed the two little ones' heads and continued to walk home. After dinner, he gave the two little ones a bath and sent them back to their room to coax them to sleep. After Sheng Yanchuan and Nanqiao finished washing up and returned to the room, they talked about business.
"This is the blueprint. I'm thinking of contacting you. I estimate that the one-time quantity will not be small. Just order the minimum amount that can be negotiated." Nanqiao gave the blueprint he drew in the afternoon to Sheng Yanchuan.
"It's probably going to start at 10,000. Have you used any?" Sheng Yanchuan thought about the number he could negotiate and gave Nanqiao a more moderate number.
"The 4*4 size may be a bit too much if you start with 10,000 copies, but the paper box is easy to store, so it's not a big problem." The store is not open for one or two days, so if you can't use it all, you can take your time. Fortunately, the cost is not too high.
"Then make it in batches of 10,000 first. If they can't be used, you can give it to Chaoyang. You can also pack it with small items like loose candies," Sheng Yanchuan thought. Although this would be more expensive for Chaoyang, it would be better than wasting it.
Nanqiao nodded, "I estimate it's about the same. Fusheng will pay for the paper boxes when the time comes. Now that Yingxue and Shen Nian have also invested, it's better to clearly divide Fusheng's expenses." As for Sheng Yanchuan's suggestion to give the unused boxes to Chaoyang, Nanqiao would not consider it. On the one hand, Chaoyang's business is to make small profits but quick turnover, and with boxes like this, the profit margin would be squeezed even more. On the other hand, Sheng Yanchuan said this because he didn't see Fusheng's turnover. With the current sales volume, these boxes would be more difficult to use, but they would not be unusable.
"Okay, let's talk about the money after things are settled," Sheng Yanchuan responded. He also knew that Ying Xue and Shen Nian had invested in the store. They were all family members, so there was no need to divide it so clearly. Besides, the family's current income was mainly in Chaoyang.
