"Silly girl, how can you bring your mother with you when you get married? When you get married, I will move back to the village to live with you. Just come back and visit me often." Lingdang's mother looked at Lingdang kindly. Seeing her daughter growing up, she felt much more relieved.
Before Lingdang went to work in the town, her mother was most worried about what would happen to her only daughter if she died one day.
Now, my daughter has a job, a good boss, and many good friends around her. My health is much better than before, and I can spend more time with Lingdang. However, I feel sad when I think of the expensive herbs and supplements she has to take. If it weren't for this health condition, Lingdang's life would have been much better.
Lingling looked at her mother with drooping eyebrows, thinking about something, and knew that she was thinking about those things that were not burdensome, so she said, "Mom, don't talk about this, let's go prepare some dinner. Brother Mingliang and the others have worked so hard for so long, we can't go back hungry."
"Oh, yes, yes, we have the food and meat you brought back a few days ago. Mom will make it." Lingdang's mother put away her thoughts and went to the kitchen to busy herself. After walking a few steps, she stopped and said, "Lingdang, go to the aunt's house next door to exchange some vegetables."
"Okay, Mom," Lingling responded, touched her small purse and walked out. When she reached the door and saw Mingliang moving the goods, she said, "Brother Mingliang, after you finish moving, let's have dinner at home and then go back to the city."
"Don't bother, just go back and eat," Mingliang stopped what he was doing and replied. Looking at Lingling's family, they should be of average means. The four of them have done a day's work and each of them eats more than the other. He really feels embarrassed to add this burden to their family.
"It's okay, try my mother's cooking, brother Mingliang, that's it." Lingdang didn't wait for him to refuse, she said to herself, and then jumped to the neighbor's aunt's house to exchange vegetables.
The four people left Mingliang looking at each other in bewilderment. Forget it... at worst, we can just eat half full... and eat later when we get back...
After making up their minds, the four of them started to work. If they finished early, they could help with cooking. Lingdang's mother wasn't in good health either, so they didn't want to tire herself out by cooking for so many people.
Because Lingdang's house was small and the car couldn't drive into the yard, and they couldn't get through the door when they moved too much at once, the work that was supposed to take an hour took nearly two hours to finally sort out all the things. They looked at the time and it was only a little after five o'clock. The kitchen wouldn't let them in. Looking at the firewood in the yard, they couldn't sit still and started working again.
Some chopped wood, some carried water. I just went into the kitchen to help my mother flip the pancakes. When I came out, I saw the yard full of water tanks and neatly stacked wood. I froze in my tracks.
"Ming...Brother Ming, what are you doing?" Lingling took a few quick steps, put down the basin in her hand, and snatched the buckets and axes from the hands of several people, with an incredible look on her face.
"I was just sitting around doing nothing, and I thought it would be inconvenient for your mother to do all this alone, so I just did it..." Mingliang was stared at by a little girl, and he felt very nervous.
"No, no, we're keeping you here to eat, how can we do this?" Lingling said as he put the bucket and axe in the corner and filled a basin with water for Mingliang and the others.
"Brother, you guys go wash up, and we can have dinner after a rest."
"Good" The temperature in Shanghai has warmed up. It's fine on weekdays, but I feel uncomfortable sweating from the busy work. The well water is slightly cold. Mingliang and the others didn't use hot water, so they washed their faces with cold water. They felt much fresher. After shaking off the water on their hands, they looked around the environment around Lingdang's house...
"Brother, it's time to eat," Lingling said as she struggled to move a large table out of the house.
"Sister Lingdang, let me do it." A man near the kitchen immediately took over the table from Lingdang and propped it up in the yard.
"The kitchen is small and there's not enough room for us to sit. Let's sit in the yard," Lingling said embarrassedly.
"It's okay. We are all rough people. We don't care about these things. It's not uncommon for us to eat dry food on the side of the road when we traveled from north to south." A man said with a smile. Since he followed the second master to Shanghai, his life has become stable. The days of wandering around in the past seem like a long time ago.
"Try it, everyone. My mother's cooking skills are pretty good. But my family is from the south, so I don't know if the noodles will suit your taste." Lingling brought out all the dishes, letting Mingliang know that they were all from the north, and she made noodles specifically for them.
"It looks good. Auntie must be a great cook," Mingliang said with a smile, but no one picked up their chopsticks, waiting for Lingdang's mother to pick up her chopsticks.
"Try it quickly. We don't care about these things." After sitting down, Lingdang's mother picked up a piece of meat for Mingliang and the others and urged them to eat.
Mingliang and the others saw this and started to eat.
"Well, it tastes really good, the noodles are very chewy," a man praised.
Lingdang's mother heard from her boss that her boss' husband brought helpers from his hometown, all of whom are from the north, so what they made today is more to cater to their tastes, and did not make the relatively sweet taste of Shanghai.
It had been a long time since so many people came to our house. Mother Lingdang was very happy to see everyone eating happily. She also ate a little more than usual.
After dinner, the people who cleaned the table cleaned the table, waited for Lingling to finish washing the dishes, and then drove away after everything was cleaned up...
I returned to Shanghai and sent Lingling back to Fusheng, then drove back to Chaoyang.
A few days later, Nanqiao came to Fusheng's warehouse, looked at the full of fabrics and paper boxes, took one of each size, and turned back to the office.
Put the paper boxes together, and then stick the stickers with the store logo on them, and then wrap them with the cloth. Compared with the previous oil paper wrapping, it instantly upgraded several levels.
