The next morning
Taohua and Nanqiao finished their breakfast together. After Nanqiao sent the children to school, Taohua also went out to Sheng's house.
Standing at the gate of Sheng's house, Taohua looked at the tightly closed gate and took a deep breath, as if there was some huge monster inside that was difficult to deal with.
Prepared mentally, Taohua stretched out her hand and pushed open the courtyard door. The Sheng family was also sitting in the main room eating. When they heard the sound at the door, they all turned their heads and saw Taohua. Aunt Xiumei subconsciously wanted to get up and call Taohua to come for dinner, but thinking of the unpleasant parting that day, Aunt Xiumei raised her body slightly and sat down again.
In an awkward tone, he said to Taohua, "Have you eaten? Why did you get up so early and leave school?"
"I've eaten. I came back last night and stayed at my sister-in-law's house." Taohua replied calmly and looked for the car keys on the cabinet at the door.
"You don't come back even though you have a home now. You might as well just stay with your sister-in-law." Aunt Xiumei glared at her unhappily. It was bad enough that they didn't have a place to settle down in Shanghai before, but now that the whole family is here, Taohua is still living there. People who don't know would think Taohua is Nanqiao's biological sister.
"I haven't had time to pack my things yet, how am I going to live?" Taohua was also angry when she heard Aunt Xiumei's words, but she didn't want to go against her mother. Although she still said tough words, she at least explained it.
Hearing Taohua's words, Aunt Xiumei was about to say something, but Uncle Sheng coughed lightly and stopped talking, but his expression still looked very dissatisfied.
"Mom, where are the car keys? Where did you put them?" Taohua searched for the keys on the cabinet for a long time but couldn't find them. She hadn't been to this yard many times and didn't know where her parents kept the keys.
"Car keys? Where did you put the car keys after driving yesterday?" Aunt Xiumei said, looking at Sheng Yanjun.
After saying this, Sheng Yanjun looked a little unnatural, as if some shameless trick had been exposed. He paused and took out a black key from his pocket.
When Sheng Yanjun went to work at the transport factory, he was thinking about long-term development, so he also learned to drive. So when Sheng Yanjun drove out, Taohua didn't react much.
Taohua looked at the keys that Sheng Yanjun had placed on the table, walked over to take them, and asked casually, "Did you drive out? What did you do?"
"I went to the nearby market and bought some things for the store opening," Sheng Yanjun said in an unnatural voice.
"Well, the market is full of small alleys and it's hard to drive there. Why don't we go to Chaoyang?"
Taohua just asked this question casually. She wanted to ease the atmosphere with her family, so she asked this question out of concern. However, she didn't expect to hit Sheng Yanjun's sore spot. Sheng Yanjun, who had a normal expression just now, suddenly turned pale.
"Why, do we need your approval before we can buy something? Your sister-in-law gave it to you, but we can't use it, right?"
Sheng Yanjun's sudden rebuke frightened Taohua so much that her hand holding the key trembled, and her brows knitted tightly together, not understanding how she had offended this big brother with these words.
"I'm just asking, why are you reacting so strongly?" Taohua came back to her senses and looked at the furious Sheng Yanjun with confusion in her eyes.
Not only Taohua, but everyone else in the Sheng family looked at Sheng Yanjun with a puzzled expression.
Under everyone's gaze, Sheng Yanjun said nothing in the end. He stood up and walked out.
Watching him leave, Taohua frowned even more. Not only her sister-in-law couldn't stand her elder brother, but she couldn't stand him anymore. He was irritable and taciturn. She couldn't figure out what was going on.
Watching Sheng Yanjun leave, Aunt Xiumei saw that Taohua's face was not very good. She thought that Taohua had finally come back today, and she didn't want her to leave in anger again.
Aunt Xiumei didn't care that she was upset just now and didn't respond, and hurriedly explained, "Your eldest brother loves the car, and the things over there are cheaper, so he went there. Besides, your brother is a person of character, how could he go to buy things from your second brother?"
After Aunt Xiumei explained this, Taohua finally understood what her elder brother cared about. If she wasn't at home, she would have rolled her eyes.
So this is his elder brother, who not only looks down on his second sister-in-law, but also covets her car.

Taohua criticized her elder brother in her heart, then put the money in her pocket and said to her family.
"Mom and Dad, I'm taking this car away. I'll need it for a few days. If you need it urgently, just call my dormitory." Taohua said as she prepared to go out
"Hey, wait a minute, why are you driving out?" Aunt Xiumei asked hurriedly when she heard Taohua was about to drive, not even bothering to eat the meal in her hand
"The day after tomorrow I will go hiking with my classmates. We will drive two cars out," Taohua explained standing at the door.
"How long have you only been learning? You're already on the road?" Aunt Xiumei asked anxiously.
"I can do it. I'll go to my brother's place to practice driving whenever I have time these days. I'll have no problem getting on the road."
Taohua was worried that Aunt Xiumei would continue to nag her, so she quickly said to Xiaoguo and Yaya who were watching the fun, "Aren't you going to school? Come on, Auntie will take you to school."
"Okay, okay!" Xiaoguo jumped up excitedly when he heard that he could go to school in a packed car. Yaya on the side was not so excited, but she couldn't hide her joy. She stood aside with her schoolbag, waiting for her aunt to speak so that she could set off.
"Let's go then."
After Taohua finished speaking, she turned to Huiping and said, "Sister-in-law, let me take them there today. I will make sure they are safe."
"Can you...really do it?" Taohua had only been learning for a short time, and Huiping was a little unsure about taking two children out like this.
"Don't worry, let's go, auntie will take you there." Taohua waved her hand and called the two children out.
