After watching Uncle Nan leave in the car, the three of them went back to their rooms to rest. They were tired after a day of eating and drinking, and especially after taking a hot bath, they slept soundly.
The next morning, Taohua woke up from her sleep and stretched herself lazily. The long-distance flight for more than a day made her too tired to miss home. She slept very soundly that night. She opened her eyes drowsily and saw that it was still early, so she got up slowly, washed and packed up, and went to the next door.
Boom boom boom
There was a knock on the door of the bell's room, and it was opened soon after. Dongzi had already packed up, and after opening the door, he sat back on the sofa and read the newspaper.
"Your sister Lingdang is cleaning up in the bathroom, come in and sit for a while."
"Okay, Dongzi, have you guys had breakfast? Do you want to go eat some later?"
"I haven't eaten yet. Let's go to the hotel restaurant to eat together later. Then I'll bring some for Qi Qi as well."
"Okay, I brought some things and will give them to Brother Qi Qi later. After all, he took us around, so we should thank him."
"That's the same thing over there. Your sister Lingdang prepared it. Let's take it together." Dongzi pointed at the things at the door and said. He didn't know whether Qi Qi would come last night, so he didn't take it. Now that he knew he would accompany them today, he naturally had to show his appreciation.
"Brother Dong, I am really sorry to bother you. I have made you worry so much about my coming here."
"We are all family, stop being polite," Dongzi said with a smile. Although they were not blood relatives, their relationship was no less than that of blood relatives. In fact, the relationship between them was much stronger than that between family members.
Taohua is grateful to the friendly people around her, but she also knows that this is not her own ability, but because of Nanqiao and Sheng Yanchuan. Because of them, she is where she is now. Thinking about her previous life in the village, her current life is like a dream and unreal.
"Let's go, I'm ready." Lingling came out of the bathroom. Dongzi put down the newspaper and stood up to pick up the things at the door. The three of them went to the restaurant where they had been last night and ordered some breakfast casually. As for the one for Qi Qi, they prepared to pack it up and take it away.
"Hey, you are here. I just asked the front desk to call the room, but no one answered. I was afraid I had gone to the wrong place." Qi Qi's voice came from behind them. When they turned around, they saw Qi Qi walking towards them in casual clothes. He looked a lot younger than the suit he wore yesterday.
"Come on, I just ordered breakfast for you and was thinking of taking it away for you later. It's a good time to eat it together," Lingling said as she invited everyone to sit down.
"Brother Qi Qi, please sit here," Taohua said, pulling out a chair for Qi Qi to sit down.
The three people invited him so enthusiastically that Qi Qi felt a little embarrassed. After sitting down, he said a little embarrassedly, "I have already had breakfast, you guys eat first."
"Would you like some more?" Taohua said as she pushed Qi Qi's portion towards him, her eyes full of anticipation. Qi Qi had no choice but to pick up his knife and fork and simply eat some.
"Brother Qi Qi, where are we going to play today?" Seeing Qi Qi eating, Tao Hua continued to chat with him casually.
"I have selected a few popular scenic spots in Country Y. You can take a look." Qi Qi took out a small notebook from his pocket and showed it to the three of them. Taohua looked at it for a long time and was confused. In the end, she decided to let Qi Qi decide where they should go. It is better to have a local than for them who are completely in the dark.
After breakfast, the four of them, led by Qi Qi, headed towards their first destination.
The trip lasted for three days. Taohua bought a lot of things, all of which were gifts for her family in China. She asked Lingdang to bring the small items back, while the large or heavy items were to be mailed back to China.
After three days of playing, the three of them were exhausted. They took a short rest for one day. The next day was the day for Taohua to report to school. On this day, she not only had to register, but also had to clean up the apartment that Uncle Nan had prepared for her.
As for why not living in the dormitory?
Of course it's because I have the freedom of living alone, plus the apartment is right next to the school, it's almost like living on campus
Things at school went very smoothly. When Taohua came to her senses, she was already in her one-bedroom apartment. The furniture in the house was very complete and she could move in right away. She put her clothes in the closet and simply wiped the countertops. She considered that everything was tidy. Looking around, there was nothing left to tidy up.
Lingling looked around. The room was small, and since it was her first time living there, there was nothing to do with the carpet. Suddenly, she thought of something and suggested:
"Taohua, why don't you call Uncle Nan and ask if he has time to come for dinner tonight. If he can come, we can look for a store nearby in the afternoon and buy some vegetables. I'll also show you the way."
"Okay, then Sister Lingdang and Brother Dongzi are waiting for me in the house. I'll go downstairs and call them." Lingdang said as she took her wallet and ran downstairs.
In a few minutes, he ran into the house excitedly.
"Sister Lingdang, let's go shopping. Uncle Nan can come in the evening."
"Okay, let's go." The three of them went downstairs and asked the apartment manager where they could buy vegetables and meat nearby. The manager was young and looked at this polite foreign girl with a particularly friendly attitude. He not only pointed out the location to Taohua, but also carefully told her where the vegetables and fruits were fresh and where the prices were cheaper.
"Thank you, Auntie. This is our country's pastry. I'll give it to you to try." Taohua thanked her politely and gave the auntie a piece of pastry she had prepared.
The aunt received the gift, her eyes were filled with surprise, and she loved Taohua even more. She kept calling her "baby" until Taohua and the others left, and then she returned to the management office.
