Xue Hongwen hurried home.
At home, Li Mingyue cooked some porridge for Xue's mother with a big belly, and then went upstairs to give it to Xue's mother.
Xue's mother hasn't had a good rest these days. She got up late today, and they thought it would be a good thing for her to rest for a while longer, otherwise her body wouldn't be able to bear it if she continued like this.
But when it was past ten o'clock and Xue's mother hadn't gotten up yet, Li Mingyue felt something was wrong. She went to Xue's mother's room and took a look, only to find that her mother-in-law had a fever. So she quickly called the family doctor over. After sending the doctor over, she went to the kitchen to make porridge for her mother-in-law.
"Mingyue, thank you for your hard work."
Xue's mother's voice was hoarse and her expression was full of guilt.
Li Mingyue adjusted the pillow for her so that she could lean back more comfortably.
"Mom, we are all family, why are you still so polite to me?" Li Mingyue said, "Mom, I know how you feel. I believe that my sister will be found soon, so you must cheer up. If my sister comes and you collapse, how sad will she be?"
Li Mingyue tried to persuade him, but she herself did not have much confidence in what she said.
More than ten days have passed. How can they find a person they think is dead in such a vast crowd of people?
Xue's mother held back the tears in her eyes, her heart aching. "I know, but Mingyue, Mom is really suffering."
Seeing her like this, Li Mingyue felt very sad and painful. She put down the bowl in her hand and went forward to hug Xue's mother.
Xue's mother finally couldn't help but burst into tears.
From the day she knew her daughter was still alive, she had been trying hard to control her emotions, calm herself down, and not to worry. As long as her daughter was still alive in this world, she would be able to find her daughter one day.
But every night when she went to sleep, she would always dream about her daughter. She would dream about her daughter crying and asking her why she didn't go to find her. She would dream about her daughter crying and complaining about how bad her life was. She would even dream that her daughter was actually dead, but she was not buried properly and turned into a wandering ghost.
Xue's mother was heartbroken, but there was nothing she could do.
She wanted her husband and his family to find their daughter as soon as possible, but she also knew how hard her husband and son were trying to find her, and they were under a lot of pressure.
Especially the husband, he was also feeling bad. I saw him hiding in the bathroom and crying secretly several times.
Because of these, Xue's mother tried hard to suppress her emotions, but her inner emotions had reached a critical point.
"Mom, mom, I found it." The door of the room was pushed open and Xue Hongwen rushed in.
When Xue's mother and Li Mingyue heard this, they immediately looked at Xue Hongwen. Xue's mother opened her mouth to ask him if he had found her daughter, but no sound came out.
Li Mingyue also reacted quickly, "Hongwen, are you saying you found your sister?"
Xue's mother grabbed Li Mingyue's hand and squeezed it much tighter, which hurt Li Mingyue, but Li Mingyue didn't care.
Xue Hongwen looked at Li Mingyue for a while before nodding, "Yes, I found it."
"Really? Where is it?" Xue's mother finally found her own voice, and regardless of the needle on the back of her hand, she struggled to get up.
Xue Hongwen and Li Mingyue quickly held her down upon seeing this. Seeing that the needle had fallen off and become crooked, Xue Hongwen quickly pulled out the needle and tightened the adjustment lever.
"Hongwen, please tell mom where your sister is. Is she doing well? Is she being bullied?"
"Mom, don't worry. My sister is fine." Xue Hongwen said as he helped Li Mingyue sit down. "She is pregnant now."
"Is my sister married? What kind of family does the other party belong to? Is he good to her?" Li Mingyue frowned slightly. She and her sister-in-law were the same age, both 23 today. It was true that she was married, but if she were her sister-in-law, she felt that it was a bit early to get married at this age.
23 is still very young, just getting started.
