Upon hearing that Mo Xuan and Leng Mo had disappeared, the guests all set off to search for them on the mountain. Lu Ziwei initially didn't want to go, but remembering his mission, he followed the guests.
The six of them walked to the top of the mountain and finally found Director Li and the staff. However, Lu Ziwei, Wen Nai, Wang Feifei, and Shi Yu were not there. Initially, Director Li and Assistant Director Fu didn't believe Leng Mo, but they only realized the seriousness of the situation after Mo Xuan echoed their story.
The police responded quickly. Upon arriving at Sunshine Village, two officers went directly to Leng Mo. Leng Mo and Mo Xuan immediately told the officers about their experience of being lost in a maze. The officers assumed the two were hallucinating from filming a variety show. Leng Mo, being stubborn, led the officers directly to the forest. Just as they reached the foot of the mountain, they encountered Miao Zi carrying a shovel, emerging from the forest. Leng Mo and Mo Xuan exchanged a glance, immediately sensing something was wrong. Ignoring the danger, Leng Mo shouted to the two officers, "Quick, grab him! He's the murderer!"
“But without evidence and without an arrest warrant, we can’t arrest him,” one of the police officers, who looked to be in his forties, said.
Miao Zi wasn't far from them. Upon hearing Leng Mo order the two policemen to arrest him, he tensed up, grabbed a shovel, and charged at Leng Mo. Fortunately, Mo Xuan nimbly snatched the shovel from his hand. Now the two policemen had a pretext to arrest him. They both drew their guns and aimed at Miao Zi. Miao Zi turned and ran, but both policemen fired simultaneously, taking two bullets to each of his legs. Miao Zi tried to get up and run, but the pain in his legs prevented him from standing. He dragged his aching legs forward, and the policeman in his forties immediately pulled out handcuffs and cuffed Miao Zi. He then forced Miao Zi to identify the burial site.
After Miao Zi explained everything, the sky suddenly turned black, and the two ghosts, Ox-Head and Horse-Face, appeared, stunning Miao Zi, the two policemen, and Mo Xuan.
