Chapter 20 Pretending

Apart from the unexpected situation of having to divide the family property into four parts, the subsequent division of the property went smoothly.

Those that can be divided into four equal parts will be divided into four parts. If they cannot be divided into four parts, the excess will be given to the two elders. If the remaining amount is not enough to be divided, other things will be used to compensate.

After the three brothers confirmed that everything was correct, Lin Anru wrote the document and in the presence of everyone, they signed it, and the division of the family property was officially completed.

"I'll give you two months to build the house. After two months, no matter if you have a place to live or not, you all have to move out!"

After putting away the documents in his hand, Mr. Lin gave orders to his sons.

It's the end of February now. In two months it will be the end of April or the beginning of May, when the summer harvest will begin, so it's best to get the new house ready before that starts.

The three brothers of the Lin family all agreed, but the eldest brother's response was a little weak, and the second brother had a gloomy face.

No matter what the outcome is, the separation has become a foregone conclusion and is a thing of the past.

Mr. Lin was not in a very good mood, but he had to entertain these guests, so even if he was in a bad mood, he had to cheer up and greet them.

As soon as the matter was over, Mrs. Lin took her daughters-in-law to the kitchen and brought the food that had been prepared long ago to the table.

Mr. Lin and his three sons were responsible for entertaining the witnesses. As for the women and children in the family, they could only wait until the guests left before eating.

Seeing that there was nothing wrong with them, Liu took the two children back to the room. As soon as she got back, she made her daughter drink a large bowl of plantain water and then forced her to go to bed.

Lin Shiyu had already argued with Liu about the herbal medicine in the morning, so she understood the principle of knowing when to quit. She drank the medicine obediently, climbed onto her own bed, and fell asleep in a short while.

When she was half asleep, she heard Old Lady Lin come in and ask Liu to go out and help clear the table.

Liu replied softly, twirled the quilt for her, and tiptoed out.

Although she tried to be as quiet as possible, Lin Shiyu was still woken up.

After waking up, she was no longer sleepy. After thinking for a while, she went out.

As soon as she came out, she saw Zhang and her seven brothers saying goodbye.

"When you're sure it's ready, send someone home to tell us. Then we'll come over to help you clean up, okay?" Boss Zhang said as he touched his sister like he did when they were little.

Zhang agreed, and then the brothers and sisters chatted there for a while before bidding farewell reluctantly.

After her brothers left, Zhang turned back until they were out of sight. However, her face was full of impatience, and there was no sign of reluctance at all.

Lin Shiyu looked at her changing expression curiously, wondering if she was tired!

"Bah! Dirty eyes."

When Zhang turned around, she saw Lin Shiyu and felt very unlucky.

"Hehehe~ stinky nose, hum!"

Lin Shiyu made faces at her, and before she could react, she arrogantly avoided her and skipped out.

Zhang looked at her receding back and felt so angry that her teeth were itching.

"Head of the village, I'm sorry to bother you today!"

As soon as Lin Shiyu ran away, Zhang heard Old Man Lin thanking the head of the village. From her direction, she also saw Old Man Lin secretly put a red envelope into the head of the village hand while speaking.

The headman squeezed the red seal in his hand, felt the weight inside, and nodded slightly.

When Mr. Lin saw him nod, he breathed a sigh of relief. After a few pleasantries, Mr. Lin saw him out of the gate.

Inside the red envelope was the small change that Mr. Lin had specially exchanged for silver, which was worth half a string of silver, or five hundred coins.

He spent so much money not for anything else but to do the labor after the summer harvest. He still sent one person as he did before the family split up, instead of sending people from all three families.

He only has three sons. Even if he was angry and wanted to divide the family property, he couldn't be so cruel as to send all three of them to suffer.

As long as the village chief and the head of the neighborhood haven't reported this matter to the government office for record, there will be no problem in operating it, so Mr. Lin took this action.

There are many families who do this, and you can tell from the familiar attitude of the village chief.

After bidding farewell to the head of the village, Mr. Lin sighed to the sky!

"Don't stand at the door, go back and eat." Old Master Lin turned around and saw Lin Shiyu looking at him with round eyes not far away.

Thinking of his frail granddaughter, Grandpa Lin decided to ask her to stay home.

Seeing her standing there motionless, Old Man Lin spoke again: "There is meat to eat at home today. If you are not slow, it will be eaten up by the brothers and sisters. Run!"

Upon hearing this, Lin Shiyu ran back. Halfway through, she thought for a moment and turned back to pull Old Man Lin to run with her.

Hey! A melancholic teenager is very cute, but a melancholic old man is very pitiful.

So poor old man, let’s have some meat and have some fun together!

Grandpa Lin was immersed in the pride of his magic weapon of "eating meat" and before he could come to his senses, he was pulled back home by the child he had just coaxed back home.

As I ran, I heard the frail child shouting in a loud voice: "Grandpa, run faster! The meat will be eaten up!"

Mr. Lin: Is this the volume a frail and sickly child can shout out? (?`?Д?′)!!

He walked while thinking.

Lin Shiyu had no idea what Grandpa Lin was thinking about. When she thought of the taste of the meat in the morning, she wished she had two more legs. Not only that, she also disliked that Grandpa Lin's slow pace affected her performance.

But she didn't know that when she ran three steps, Mr. Lin only took one step to catch up with her.

When the two of them returned, the dining table in the lobby was already full of people.
