Chapter 79 The Weird Stone Family

Xiaopang pulled Lin Shiyu and walked towards the village entrance. No matter how Lin Boyu asked, Xiaopang did not answer him.

If Lin Shiyu hadn't kept waving her hands, Lin Boyu would have wanted to hit someone.

"Isn't this Shitou's house? Why are we here?"

Shitou is one of the little group. Except for Lin Shiyu, everyone else knows about his home.

It should be said that the little friends are very familiar with each other's homes, after all, they are from the same village.

Xiaopang still didn't answer, but pulled Lin Shiyu towards Shitou's house. However, when they reached the gate of Shitou's yard, Xiaopang didn't stop, but continued to walk around the wall.

Lin Shiyu had sensitive ears and heard faint sounds coming from the yard. She guessed what must have happened in Shitou's family.

"Go in from here."

Xiaopang's voice drew Lin Shiyu's attention back. She followed Xiaopang's gaze and saw a small hole in the courtyard wall. The hole was not big but not small either. Anyway, based on their body shapes, they should be able to fit in.

Xiaopang went in first, and Lin Boyu followed him without hesitation.

Lin Shiyu was silent for three breaths, sighed, and went in.

Never mind, it’s just a dog hole. Everything has a first time. You’ll get used to it after a while.

"Why is Uncle Shitou cursing again?"

Among these people, the one who disliked coming to Shitou's house the most was not for any other reason, but because of Shitou's uncle.

Anyone that Shitou brought home to play with would be scolded by his uncle. As time went by, Shitou stopped bringing his friends home.

The three of them walked around the source of the sound and came to a window. Xiaopang reached out and patted it.

The tightly closed window did not respond at all, just like when they approached just now, only the sound of crying could be heard from the gap in the window.

Xiaopang stretched out his hand and increased the strength to continue hitting. Although he increased the strength, he did not use too much force out of consideration for Uncle Shitou.

The crying sound inside paused for a moment, then the window opened from the inside, and the face of an old lady appeared in front of them.

"Little Fatty?"

The woman spoke, then stuck her head out the window. After making sure no one noticed, she reached out and pulled the three children in.

As soon as the person landed, the woman immediately closed the window.

"How are you guys..."

"The stone is there, go and have a look."

Before the woman could finish her words, Xiaopang anxiously pushed Lin Shiyu to the edge of the bed.

Looking at Shi Tou lying motionless on the bed, Lin Boyu finally understood why Xiaopang had rushed over here dragging his sister along.

"Hurry up, show him."

Lin Boyu knew that things were serious without Xiaopang urging him.

The stone house was the same as most houses in the village, short and dim.

Lin Shiyu couldn't see his facial expression, so she had to reach out and feel his pulse.

"Tell me about him."

Lin Shiyu put down her hand and turned to ask the woman in the room. Lin Shiyu guessed that this should be Shi Tou's mother.

Shitou's mother recognized Lin Shiyu, the village doctor, when she took her pulse.

That was why she did not stop Lin Shiyu's actions and stood silently by the bed, even stopping her crying, for fear of disturbing Lin Shiyu's diagnosis.

Now, upon hearing Lin Shiyu's question, he immediately told her everything:

"Shitou initially had a fever, felt cold, and didn't want to eat. He often complained of bloating and stomach pain, and sometimes vomited and complained of fatigue. He also occasionally complained of pain in these areas, had headaches, and from time to time, a red rash appeared on his body..."

As Shitou's mother spoke, she pointed to parts of his body. She tried her best to recall the symptoms of her son's illness so that the young doctor could have a clearer understanding of his condition.

"Open the window and carry him to the window. I want to see his face."

The woman subconsciously looked in the direction of the sound outside, then decisively picked up her son and walked to the window.

Lin Shiyu was not tall enough, so with the help of Lin Boyu and Xiaopang, she observed Shi Tou's expression.

His skin was stained yellow. She opened his eyes with her hands and saw that even the whites of his eyes were yellow in the sunlight.

"That's enough, put it back on the bed!"

Shitou's mother swiftly carried her son back to her bed, then looked at Lin Shiyu with a nervous expression.

"How has Shitou's poop been lately?"

Shi Tou's mother shook her head and said that the child was neither too old nor too young. Anyway, he could urinate and defecate by himself. As a mother, she had not observed him for a long time, and what was more important was that the child did not allow her to observe him.

Lin Shiyu asked some other questions, but Shitou's mother just shook her head to indicate that she didn't know, as she had just said everything she knew.

"Is Shitou...still salvageable?"

Shi Tou closed his eyes after asking this question. Lin Shiyu's frown made her mood plummet.

"I don't think he's dead. I just need to ask Shitou a few questions before I can prescribe medicine. We need to wake him up first."

After Lin Shiyu finished speaking, she took out a small piece of candy from her purse and stuffed it into Shitou's mouth, then pressed the acupoints on his body with her fingers.

After a while, Shitou slowly woke up.

When Shitou's mother saw her son wake up, she covered her mouth with her hands excitedly. If it wasn't important for Lin Shiyu to ask him questions, she would have wanted to hug her son and cry for a while.

After Shi Tou regained consciousness, Lin Shiyu asked some questions. After getting the patient's answers, she began to prescribe medicine in her mind.

"Find him something to eat first, and we'll bring the medicine over later."

Judging from the fact that Shitou's mother looked outside the door from time to time, the direction in which Shitou's uncle was cursing, and the way they came in, Lin Shiyu guessed that she probably couldn't cook the medicine at home, so she planned to cook it and then secretly send it over.

"Ah! Thank you! Thank you!"

After receiving Lin Shiyu's affirmative answer, Shitou's mother screamed excitedly, alarming the people outside.

"Brother, it seems the stone can't hold on any longer. It's hot now, so it's not a good idea to keep a dead body at home. Remember to take the body out and bury it as soon as possible."

When the people outside spoke, their voices revealed joy.

The other man next to him, who had been silent and silent while he was cursing, started to attack him when he said this.

The crackling sound could be heard clearly even from such a distance and through the door, which showed how fierce the battle outside was.

But one of the hostesses of this house, Shi Tou's mother, was not worried at all, and even showed a look of relief on her face.

"Excuse me, we will reimburse you for the medical expenses later. Now I will take you out first."

Shitou's mother said this and without waiting for them to react, she sent them out using the same method she used when she came here.
