Chapter 23 The Strange Little Thief

Lu Yunxi arrived at the foot of the mountain and found her usual spot to squat. She chose a very clever spot, with a huge rock in front and a large tree behind, which just happened to cover her figure. In fact, she had spent a lot of time and repeatedly changed positions before finding this spot!

Every time she killed a rabbit here, she would wait for thirty seconds and a new rabbit would appear here.

She used to make jerky from all the rabbits she caught. She ate the jerky every day and thought it tasted good at first, but now she is tired of it and plans to catch more rabbits and make other dishes!

Thinking of this, she quickly covered her mouth, forced herself to lower the corners of her mouth, and squatted down carefully.

However, one minute, two minutes...a quarter of an hour passed, but she still didn't see the rabbit.

Lu Yunxi stuck her head out in confusion.

Why aren't there any rabbits today? Did they realize I was hiding behind them?!

Seeing that the sun was getting bigger and bigger, but she still couldn't find any prey, she had no choice but to go up the mountain.

When we reached halfway up the mountain, we finally spotted the hare.

Her eyes lit up and she shot an arrow in an instant.

An hour later.

Lu Yunxi returned home exhausted. Instead of dealing with the prey, she cleaned the wound first, sprinkled it with the medicine made by her mother, and then fell directly on the bed.

Hateful hare!

When she went out hunting before, she was a little flustered at the beginning, but after she got used to it, even wild boars couldn't hurt her, let alone a mere rabbit!

But for some reason, the hare was different today, more agile than usual! It was because I misjudged its attack path that I missed it! I even got injured!

It took me an entire hour to battle wits and courage with the hare today!

She closed her eyes with a heavy heart and prepared to take a nap.

At this time, she just thought it was a coincidence and didn't take it to heart.

A month later.

Lu Yunxi stood in the field, looking at the gradually decreasing number of field mice, his expression somewhat solemn.

"Xiaoxi, what's wrong with you? The field mice are about to be eliminated! Aren't you happy?" Li Daya was excited, but when she turned around and saw her stern face, she suddenly felt a little worried.

"No," she smiled at Daya's cautious look, "I was just thinking about something else!"

After coaxing Daya, she felt increasingly heavy-hearted.

She deeply felt the meaning of the saying "Misfortune may be a blessing in disguise"!

The world is changing.

The villagers became like normal people and could communicate, but the animals also became like real animals.

In the past, you could fight animals in any way you wanted and they would never become extinct. Moreover, each animal had its own fixed route, and once you got used to it, it would be easy to predict their actions.

Hunting was quite easy for her at that time!

But now, if hunting is not controlled, it may really lead to the extinction of animals! Of course, hunting has also become more difficult. Every animal has become extremely agile, and it is very difficult to predict their movements.

Lu Yunxi fell into deep thought.

Or maybe she should just change her career? Hunters are too dangerous!

Of course, this is just a joke! Although hunters are dangerous, this skill is amazing for her who lived in ancient times!

That day, Lu Yunxi fought wits and courage with various animals in the mountains and had a great time.

When she went down the mountain, there were a lot of prey piled up in her space, and she was holding a wild rabbit in her hand.

After all, she always has to pretend. If she throws everything into her space, won't others suspect that there's something wrong with her?!

However, as soon as she reached the foot of the mountain, she paused and narrowed her eyes.

The originally empty foot of the mountain now has many strangers!

They were wearing the same style of gray shorts and straw sandals, and at first glance they seemed normal. But a closer look at their behavior...

A burly man squatted on the ground, his eyes shining as he stared at the weeds. He reached out and pulled some, then stuffed them into his mouth, looking very relishing. Next to him, a thin man was staring intently at a caterpillar on a leaf, his eyes almost glued to it, mumbling something non-stop. Another man reached out and grabbed a handful of dirt, stuffed it into his mouth, and then spat it out with a "Puh-Puh" sound...

Lu Yunxi took a look and hurried home.

If this were modern times, she might suspect a patient from a mental hospital had escaped! But this was ancient times! Maybe it was just someone passing by?

Thinking about the rules of the village, she suspected that these people were also driven out of their own village, and had been living outside like crazy ever since, and their brains gradually became less and less useful!

At this moment, she was still sympathizing with the people outside, and she didn't know how much she would want to beat them to death in the future!

*

Lu Yunxi sat upright at home, the embroidery needle in her hand dancing, looking very quiet and elegant.

In fact, only half of her mind was on the embroidery in her hands, the other half was on the yard.

About a few minutes later.

With a loud "clang", a man fell from the courtyard wall to the ground.

here we go again!

She calmly put down the embroidery needle in her hand and slowly walked towards the direction where the sound came from. Her movements were neither hurried nor slow, and she looked very elegant.

"Oh my God! There is something round on this tree. Could this be the legendary fruit?! I..." The daring little thief looked at the fruit tree in the yard with greed on his face, and did not notice Lu Yunxi who had walked out.

She saw that the thief not only did not pay attention to her as the owner of the house, but was also preparing to climb up the tree.

Lu Yunxi picked up the fire poker he carried with him and hit him hard.
