Chapter 79 Water in the Sea

Even though Lu Yunxi is already a master-level expert, he can only go with the flow when he is inside the protective shield.

Time passed little by little. At first she was still very clear-headed, but gradually, she felt carsick.

"Chen San, are you dizzy?" She covered her mouth and looked at her apprentice worriedly.

"I'm fine, Master, are you feeling unwell?" Shen San looked at her carefully, took out a sachet from his backpack and placed it in front of her nose.

"Smell this. It's a citrus scented sachet. It should make you feel better."

Seeing that he was not feeling unwell, Lu Yunxi immediately felt relieved and closed her eyes peacefully: "No need, I won't feel dizzy when I fall asleep, you should rest too."

However, facts soon told her that her thoughts were too beautiful!

She couldn't sleep at all during the twists and turns that were a hundred times more thrilling than a roller coaster.

Not long after, the protective shield they were in suddenly rose up.

"Strange, are we going up?" Lu Yunxi frowned.

“Master, we…” Shen San was about to say something.

But after an ethereal voice echoed, the two of them suddenly seemed to be pushed up by a fountain and gushed out with the fountain.

Lu Yunxi was shocked when he saw the huge island-like place below him.

The one who ate them was actually a whale!

The whale was swimming leisurely, spraying water from above. The long water column looked spectacular, and as it moved, the surrounding waves were also rolling violently.

"Master, are you okay?" Shen San came up and saw her sitting there calmly. Then he turned back to look at the huge whale with a look of surprise, "There are such big creatures in the sea, and they defecate from the top of their heads!"

"No," she twitched her eyes, "this shouldn't be where it defecates, but its..."

"Probably somewhere like the nostrils?" she guessed. She hadn't been a biological researcher in her previous life, so she didn't understand much about this, and she quickly dropped the question.

"Don't go over there. It's too dangerous to get close to this guy. Let's swim away and get on the boat."

Day 10 of drifting on the boat.

Shen San lay in the middle of the flower boat. Because the boat was too small, he could only curl up miserably.

He touched his stomach and looked at the sky with lifeless eyes.

"Master, I'm so hungry."

Lu Yunxi was sitting in another corner, fishing seriously: "Just wait a little longer, you'll catch some fish soon."

When Shen San heard the word "fish", tears were about to flow.

The master's fishing skills were indeed quite superb, and he caught many large fish. But in this small boat, it was impossible to fire.

They can only eat sashimi every day.

It tasted good at first, but after a while, it really became unpleasant to eat. It was cold and had no warmth at all.

For the first time, he missed those old stoves that needed to burn firewood.

Of course Lu Yunxi noticed Shen San’s depression, but she had no intention of comforting him.

In fact, a bigger crisis is about to emerge.

They hadn't stored much cactus and water in the desert oasis before, so they couldn't leave any for future generations, could they? They couldn't drain the pond to the limit. Now came the trouble.

During these ten days, the water they had prepared was almost gone.

If this continues, they may die of thirst if they don't starve to death.

People can go without food for three days, but cannot go without water for three days.

Thinking of this, she fixed the fishing rod to the boat, held the rod in one hand so that she could feel its movement, and put her consciousness into the space.

Dried meat, salted duck eggs, sauerkraut... forget about them, they taste too salty and the more you eat, the thirstier you'll get; dried herbs, dried ingredients... these are useless, what she needs is water!

"Master!" The disciple's voice suddenly sounded in his ears.

Lu Yunxi regained consciousness and looked at him: "What's wrong?"

"Master, I've got an idea!" Shen San waved the letter paper in his hand, "Isn't it okay for me to write to my friend and ask him to send something to me? Is there anything you want?"

She was stunned at first, then excitedly grabbed his hand and said, "Yes, yes! You are really smart, my apprentice! Hurry up and have someone bring some water over. We don't have enough to drink. There is no need to worry about anything else!"

Shen San was stunned for a moment, and looked at her hesitantly: "Master, how much water is left? I heard that it takes longer to send a letter in the sea than on land, about three days. If you count the round trip, it will take at least six days."

"If we save a little, we can probably drink it for a whole day...right?"

The two looked at each other. The atmosphere suddenly became silent and tense.

However, Lu Yunxi still made a wrong estimate.

It was actually worse than I thought. I don't know if it was because the seafood was quite salty.

All the remaining juicy fruits, wild vegetables and medicinal herbs were taken out, and the juice squeezed out was used sparingly, but it could only barely last for half a day.

Two more days passed.

Lu Yunxi and Chen San were lying on the boat. One was lying inside the boat, the other on a plank above. But both of them had the same calm expression.

They slept through the past two days, and when they slept, they didn't feel thirsty.

[Beep beep beep]

When the system-set alarm rang, she knew it was time to eat again.

She took out a bunch of buns from her backpack and gave a lot to Shen San. These buns were enough for Shen San to eat for a month.

She was afraid that he would have no food in his bag after she fell into a coma, so she gave it to him in advance.

After delivering the buns with half-closed eyes, she lay down again.
