"Master, Master, come quick! This patient thinks he's not sick and is trying to run away!"
What? You want to run away after all that effort to get these spots together?
Doctor Qi immediately rushed over and indeed saw the biggest troublemaker.
"Brother Lü, it's you again? Didn't I already say that your feet are so cold they've lost all feeling? If you don't get treatment in time, it could be dangerous?"
Doctor Qi said with disappointment, "I can't believe I'm not living up to my potential."
Why are these kids so troublesome? They can't even feel their feet, yet they're still jumping around everywhere, they don't care about their own bodies at all!
If such a strong man were to die from his illness, would his reputation still be intact?
Lu Kun's face turned bright red. He was born an orphan and was cursed by his neighbors every day. He had been a troublemaker since he was a child, relying entirely on his brute strength and intimidating personality. He didn't get along well with his few remaining relatives and had long since grown to loathe the place.
Of course, he hated the court even more because Lü Kun's parents were beaten to death by the officials, which led to him being born without parents.
So when he heard that there were rebels in Liangzhou and that they were recruiting soldiers, he immediately set off with his small bundle on his back.
The problem was that Lü Kun had no sense of direction. Even though he had asked for directions, he inexplicably ended up outside Liangzhou and was tricked into joining this group of refugees.
Lü Kun had already made up his mind. He could not stay here any longer under any circumstances. He was going to join the Liangzhou rebels and fight against the imperial court!
Strangely, he only slept twice before arriving in this strange county town, and now he's been stuffed into a clinic for treatment.
If these people made him sign documents and sell himself into slavery before giving him such good treatment, Lü Kun could understand.
But the group of people in the desolate mountains didn't say anything from beginning to end. They not only provided him with meals every day for the past few days, but also made sure he was very full. Now they're going to treat him for free.
Having been a bully since childhood, Lü Kun had never experienced such kindness before. He felt awkward about it and decided that he couldn't stay any longer and had to leave!
And so the current scene unfolded: several of Doctor Qi's apprentices were there trying to pull the big guy back, but they couldn't.
When Doctor Qi arrived and saw this bull-like fellow, he sighed inwardly.
"Fine, you're leaving, aren't you? You think you're not sick? Then leave!"
After several days of arguing, Dr. Qi was exhausted and waved his hand helplessly.
The apprentices exchanged glances, stopped, and obediently took a few steps back.
Lu Kun himself was dumbfounded. Couldn't the doctor stay a little longer? He didn't necessarily have to leave...
He dragged his feet, which were almost numb from the cold, one step at a time, slowly walking outside, constantly looking back in the direction of the clinic.
"Master, we're still one spot short this month. Are we just going to let him go like this?" the eldest disciple asked doubtfully.
“Yes, Master, if we don’t meet the target this month, will we still get roasted sweet potatoes and free cotton-padded coats in the future?” The second apprentice scratched his head sheepishly.
Doctor Qi, on the other hand, held his teacup with an inscrutable expression.
"Have you forgotten? I just said that Madam An will be here soon."
"With Madam An here, how could he possibly escape?"
He's not bragging, but that big guy only looks tall and strong; he can't even beat one of An Niangzi's fingers!
Dr. Qi is just that confident!
