Chapter 325 A World Apart

Liang Shu's words instantly calmed the restless hearts.

She nodded to the side.

Beside her, the exquisitely beautiful Lin Chan immediately understood.

With a wave of her tiny hand, she said, "Get up, everyone! The Mountain Goddess wants you to get up!"

As soon as he finished speaking, an invisible yet gentle force appeared out of nowhere.

Like countless gentle hands, they lifted up the tens of thousands of mortals kneeling on the ground.

"ah!"

"This is a miracle!"

"The Mountain Goddess has appeared!"

Everyone felt an irresistible gentle force lift them up, and after they stood firm, they felt even greater awe for the mountain god of the desolate mountain.

Seeing this, Chen Shuiyi and several other transmigrators who were not far behind Liang Shu immediately took out megaphones.

They raised their uniquely shaped tin megaphones and loudly guided the crowd: "Fellow villagers, please follow us!"

"Please don't crowd, line up and come one at a time!"

The factory dormitory at the foot of the barren mountain has been expanded several times.

But these people arrived too suddenly, without any prior preparation.

Liang Shu frowned slightly as she looked at the endless crowd in front of her, but quickly made a decision.

She walked to the front of the crowd again, cleared her throat, and said loudly, "Everyone, due to the large number of people, there are not enough dormitories for the time being. But the Mountain Goddess is merciful and will never allow any of her people to sleep on the streets."

"For the time being, the existing worker families in our barren mountain area will take in all the new villagers."

"If you are a single old master, please take a fellow villager who is also single home."

“If your family consists of workers, please welcome the new family.”

"If any new male or female villagers come and fall in love while getting to know each other, and are willing to form a new family, the barren mountain will be happy to see it happen and will preside over the ceremony for you!"

These words sparked a small murmur among the crowd, a mixture of anticipation and trepidation.

Liang Shu paused for a moment, then continued, "Of course, this is not to make everyone's efforts go to waste."

"For every family that takes in new villagers, they can receive a subsidy from the barren mountain accounting office for each additional day of care they provide, until the new dormitory area is completed."

"This move serves two purposes: firstly, to address the immediate crisis; and secondly, to help the new villagers integrate into the barren mountains more quickly and understand our lives; at the same time, it also allows you to better understand these newcomers and help and love each other in the future."

Liang Shu's arrangement was reasonable and full of human touch.

However, when this regulation was issued, a slight commotion arose among the crowd, and some older workers showed hesitation and reluctance on their faces.

“People from the Kingdom of God…” someone muttered softly.

"Those are the ones who tried to harm our Mountain Goddess before?"

"Although Your Majesty is merciful, they are still..."

Most of these veteran workers were originally followers of the Mountain Goddess. In their hearts, the Mountain Goddess was heaven, earth, and their only salvation.

They instinctively harbor hostility towards anyone who has ever disrespected the Mountain Goddess or even attempted to harm her, even if that person is now a pitiful refugee.

They clearly remembered how the people of the divine kingdom had treated the barren mountain before, and even tried to harm their mountain goddess!

This memory makes it difficult for them to change their attitude in a short period of time.

Just then, a burly man stepped out from the crowd; it was Wang Chong.

Behind him were two half-grown sons who were already able to help with chores.

Without saying a word, Wang Chong walked straight to a group of emaciated refugees from the Divine Kingdom.

His gaze fell on a withered old man.

Beside the old man, two children, a boy and a girl, huddled timidly, as thin as two newborn kittens, looking as if a gust of wind could blow them over.

Wang Chong looked at the two children, a hint of pity flashing across his dark face, and sighed.

With large, fan-like hands, she carefully picked up the two children, one on each side.

"Brother, come with me." His voice wasn't loud, but it carried a reassuring power.

"The child is too young and can't withstand any more stress."

Tears welled up instantly in the old man's cloudy eyes, and his lips trembled.

He wanted to say something, but couldn't utter a single word; he just kept nodding.

Without saying much, Wang Chong held the child, gestured for the old man to follow, and led the family of three toward his simple but clean house.

His home is on the edge of the factory area. He owns a house that he bought himself. Although it's not big, it's big enough for him to squeeze in.

Since the Mountain Goddess was the one who wanted to receive these people, she must have had her own reasons.

These believers must not cause Him any trouble!

Wang Chong led the old man and the two thin children through the slightly crowded but orderly factory area, and soon arrived at his own doorstep.

His wife had already received the news and was waiting in the house. When she saw Wang Chong return with three strangers by his side, she quickly came out to greet him.

"Master, this..."

Wang Chong's wife looked at the old man and the child with some doubt.

Wang Chong gently put down a little girl from his arms and said to his wife, "The Mountain Goddess instructed that these people are refugees from the Divine Kingdom and will stay in our house temporarily. We will be able to receive subsidies from them in the future."

He turned and called back into the house, "Mother, I'm back! I've brought a few new villagers to stay with us temporarily!"

An elderly woman with gray hair but a sprightly spirit came out from the inner room.

Old Lady Wang was also a devout follower of the Mountain Goddess. Upon hearing this, she first frowned slightly, clearly thinking of the previous disrespect shown by the divine kingdom towards the Mountain Goddess.

"People from the Kingdom of God?" she muttered.
