Chapter 340 Sweeping Them All

Wang Wan rode her flying sword, her figure transforming into a streak of light, and quickly returned to the desolate mountain.

Instead of going directly to the mountain god temple, she first went to a secluded valley deep in the desolate mountains.

At the entrance to the valley, a demonic aura permeated the air, with a faint smell of blood.

This is the snake woman's territory, and also a mine specifically for transforming demons and evil spirits.

As soon as Wang Wan landed, a body with a long green tail came to greet her.

"Master Wan, you've arrived?" The snake woman's vertical pupils sparkled.

"What good stuff did you bring this time?"

Wang Wan's lips twitched, thinking to herself, "Why is this like pimping?"

She waved her hand.

The dozens of bound wolf demons appeared out of thin air, crashed to the ground, and howled in agony.

"These wolf demons are yours to handle," Wang Wan said calmly.

The snake woman's eyes lit up instantly, as if she had seen some rare treasure.

"Oh my, so much labor! The Mountain Goddess is truly blessed with me!"

A black leather whip, gleaming with an eerie light, appeared out of thin air in her hand.

"Smack!"

The whip lashed hard across a wolf demon, making it howl in pain.

"Get up, all of you! What are you crying for? Now that you're here, you've got to work properly for me!"

The snake woman stood with her hands on her hips, her tone extremely fierce.

"Anyone who dares to slack off will be skinned alive!"

The wolf demons trembled, their eyes filled with terror as they stared at the whip in the snake woman's hand.

A slightly larger wolf demon growled defiantly, "How dare you! We are warriors of the Great Moon Kingdom!"

"Crack!" Another lash of the whip struck, causing the wolf demon to howl and cower in fear.

"Warriors?" The snake woman sneered. "Who gave you the audacity to shout in the territory of the Mountain Goddess?"

“Look at your predecessors!” she said, pointing with her slender hand into the depths of the mine.

The wolf demons looked on cautiously, and saw flickering firelight in the mine, with some strange figures struggling to swing their pickaxes.

A giant bull demon with half a horn missing was using brute force to chisel away pieces of shimmering ore.

Beside it, there was a strange bird with three heads, two of which were drooping, while only one head was weakly pecking at the hard rock wall, making a tapping sound.

The aura emanating from those demons was far stronger than that of these wolf demons!

But at this moment, they are all like docile sheep, obediently doing hard labor.

The wolf demons were immediately disheartened and dared not have any further thoughts of resistance.

Even those seemingly more formidable creatures were brought to their knees; what trouble could these little wolf cubs possibly cause?

"Behave yourself, you'll get less whipping, mine more, and eat more delicious food." The horned bull demon transmitted his voice to a newly arrived wolf demon, a piece of advice from a senior.

The wolf demons were utterly desperate and had no choice but to resign themselves to being driven into the mine by the snake woman wielding her whip, beginning their dark and endless mining life.

The snake woman looked at the new workforce with satisfaction and laughed, "Master Wan is really capable. Now, the mineral resources in our barren mountain will increase several times over!"

"These demons are incredibly strong and have a fast recovery rate. When used for mining, they are hundreds of times more efficient than ordinary mortals!"

Wang Wan nodded slightly and said to the snake woman, "I have other matters to attend to, so I'll head over now."

"Go ahead, leave this to me." The snake woman waved her small leather whip, laughing heartily.

Wow, this is such a wonderful life!

As Wang Wan handed the wolf demon over to the snake woman, the clear, melodious voice of the Mountain Goddess echoed in her mind.

"Wang Wan, come to the Mountain God Temple."

"Yes, Mountain Goddess," Wang Wan replied in her heart.

She dared not delay and immediately flew to the top of the desolate mountain on her sword.

The mountaintop was shrouded in ethereal mist, a world apart from the demonic mines below.

A winding path lined with all sorts of exotic flowers and plants stretches forward, with blooming flowers vying for attention on both sides.

Countless butterflies, radiating a faint glow, fluttered among the flowers, their wings scattering specks of gold dust, creating a dreamlike scene.

At the end of the path stands the ancient and sacred mountain god temple.

Wang Wan straightened her clothes and, with a reverent heart, slowly walked inside.

Inside the temple, Yu Luo, dressed in a retro emerald green dress, sat on a willow chair. The hem of her dress was embroidered with intricate auspicious cloud and flower patterns in gold thread, which rose and fell slightly with her breath.

She wore an exquisite jade crown, with a few strands of her hair falling over her shoulders, which made her face appear even more sacred, her temperament ethereal, and unapproachable.

Wang Wan felt her heart skip a beat and quickly bowed, saying, "Queen Wang Wan greets the Mountain Goddess."

Yu Luo nodded slightly, her voice cool yet gentle: "No need for formalities."

She waved her hand casually.

On the ground in front of Wang Wan, countless lush vines and delicate flowers grew and intertwined rapidly, transforming in the blink of an eye into an elegantly shaped plant chair that exuded a faint fragrance.

"sit."

"Thank you, Goddess of the Mountain." Wang Wan sat down as instructed, her posture becoming even more respectful.

Yu Luo glanced at her, nodded slightly, and said, "It seems your injuries are recovering quite well."

Wang Wan quickly replied, "It is all thanks to Your Majesty's divine power that my meridians have not only been fully restored, but my cultivation seems to have even improved. I am extremely grateful."

Yu Luo said, "The wolf demon you saw today is only one of them."

“Nowadays, evil spirits are rampant in Liang and even in the surrounding countries, disturbing the peace and tranquility of the people everywhere.”

Wang Wan's expression turned serious, and a fierce glint flashed in her eyes: "Mountain Goddess, rest assured, I am willing to go to all places to eliminate these evil spirits and never let them harm innocent people!"

She exuded a chilling sword intent, stood up abruptly, and was about to rush out.

Yu Luo gently shook her head, a smile playing on her lips.

"There's no need for such trouble."

Wang Wan was taken aback and looked at Yu Luo with some confusion.

Yu Luo slowly said, "Since these wolf demons come from the Great Moon Divine Kingdom, they have a special way of communicating with each other, and each of them has great ambitions."

"You just need to spread the word that Yunzhou has been occupied by the main force of the wolf demons, and they are plotting to rebuild their so-called divine kingdom there and gather their kind from all over the world."

Upon hearing this, Wang Wan was stunned at first, a hint of confusion flashing in her clear, cold eyes.

Let the wolf demons take over Yunzhou? Isn't that just letting them grow stronger?

But then, she was incredibly clever and immediately understood the mountain god's deeper meaning. A look of enlightenment flashed in her eyes, and she suddenly realized!

"Does Your Majesty mean to lure the snake out of its hole, then gather them and annihilate them?"

Yu Luo gave her an approving look.

That's exactly what I meant.

"Instead of wasting time and effort clearing out those scattered wolf demons across the vast land, it would be better to give them a clear target and let them come to us on their own."

"At that time, we will accomplish our goal in one fell swoop, capture them all, and take them to be modified by the snake woman!"

Wang Wan was completely convinced, her eyes shining with admiration: "Mountain Goddess is wise! I will go and do it right away!"

A group of wolf demons who were mining were unaware that their kin were also being targeted.
