As Wang Wan was pushed inside, she felt a sudden sense of openness before her.
The entire hall was resplendent in gold, but the light was not sunlight; rather, it was a sinister, phosphorescent glow with a bluish-green fluorescence.
They leaped down from the fishbone candlesticks on the wall in clusters, stretching everyone's shadows to an extremely long length, making it look incredibly eerie.
In the center of the hall stood a huge throne, inlaid with unknown bones and pearls, upon which sat a monster.
It had a fish head and a human body, with two bulging eyes staring intently at the crowd, and huge fangs at the corners of its mouth, making it look like it would pounce at any moment.
It wore a magnificent robe, but unfortunately, it had a tattered fishing net tied around its waist, yet it held its head high and chest out.
The three soldiers immediately knelt down, buried their heads in the sand, and spoke in obsequious voices.
"Reporting to the Sea God! The newly arrived Weaver Girl has arrived; please take a look!"
After they finished speaking, they secretly glanced at the monster on the throne.
Wang Wan stood there, neither kneeling with them nor showing any fear, but simply looking quietly at the fish-headed monster.
She originally thought that this was the same Xiao Guai she had met before.
But soon, they realized something was wrong...

But this one seems extremely strange.
Wang Wan frowned slightly and subconsciously touched the Qiankun bag in her sleeve.
The fish-headed monster next to her blinked its big eyes, looked Wang Wan up and down several times, then suddenly stuck out its tongue to lick its lips, slurped out something from between its teeth, and then slowly opened its mouth.
"Huh? Why is the person brought in today so thin? Will they not even last three days?"
The fish-headed monster on the throne obviously heard this. He glanced at it sideways, and the fish-headed monster immediately shrank its neck and shut its mouth.
The air suddenly became quiet.
Wang Wan didn't respond, but simply glanced around the room before thoughtfully looking away.
"Kill me or torture me, it's up to you!" she said coldly.
The monster ahead laughed loudly: "Why would I hit or kill you? Once I'm sure you're a real mermaid, I'll just swallow you whole!"
Mermaid?
Wang Wan thought to herself, "So that's how it is. This 'Sea God' is actually looking for mermaids."
No wonder they've been searching for the Weaver Girl from the Fairy Islands.
"What about the sisters who were brought with me before?" she asked again.
