For some reason, she always felt a warm current flowing from her throat into her limbs when she ate.
Lin Anniang had become numb from eating so much that she would look over warily at the slightest sound outside, gripping the scissors tightly in her hand.
As dawn approached, a ray of morning light shone through a hole in the wall, bringing new hope to the dimly lit little house.
