Chapter 420 Cat God

Yu Luo looked at the group of wounded little demons and sighed helplessly.

Thinking to myself, the current situation is indeed tricky.

That wealthy businessman and the so-called extraordinary person were clearly not going to let it go.

“We can’t stay here forever.” Yu Luo cleared her throat and spoke in her soft, meow-like voice.

"They'll be back soon, with more people and even more power."

"I have a suggestion. Why don't we all leave the Ten Thousand Beasts Mountain now and spread out? No matter how many of them there are, they can't catch us all."

This suggestion is reasonable.

However, as soon as he finished speaking, the little squirrel looked miserable and shook its head desperately.

"It's no use! It's no use!"

"He has a way to track us!"

The little fox pointed to a tuft of fur on its body and said in a tearful voice, "That's what my sister thought before. She ran very fast and very far away."

"But a few days later, the fat man came back, wearing clothes made of my sister's fur!"

The little squirrel's voice choked up, and the little monsters around it also had tears in their eyes.

"We can't beat them. Their weapons are too powerful. We can't escape no matter where we go!"

The atmosphere, which had just eased, instantly fell silent again.

Yu Luo remained calm throughout.

She licked her paws, thinking to herself, "What a joke! How could a well-traveled transmigrator like me be stumped by something like this?"

There are always more solutions than problems!

We must find a way to survive!

She raised her amber cat-like eyes and asked again, "Then tell me, besides that fat guy, who else around here is quite powerful?"

The little demons immediately started chattering amongst themselves.

"That chubby human is really something! He's always surrounded by all sorts of strange people!"

"If we're talking about the most powerful, it must be the human emperor, right? But emperors are too far away from us, they're practically on the horizon! And human emperors certainly wouldn't help us monsters!"

"There's one more! There's one more!" The crow spirit flapped its wings and lowered its voice, "The mountain goddess of the desolate mountains! She's definitely the most powerful!"

"Shh..."

All the lesser demons trembled in fright, as if they had mentioned some taboo name.

"But she's an evil goddess!" the little fox said in a low voice. "She loves catching us demons! Once she catches us, she makes us mine!"

"Yes! They're going to build a temple! They're even more ruthless than human overseers!"

As Yu Luo listened to these whispers, a sense of unease also arose in his heart.

Although she instinctively felt that the mountain goddess didn't sound like a bad god, but rather like a diligent infrastructure fanatic.

But with so many little demons speaking in unison and with such certainty, she couldn't help but have a sliver of doubt.

Could that mountain god really be that terrifying?

"Cough cough!"

Yu Luo cleared her throat, stretched out her pink paws, and patted the ground.

"Quiet down!"

All the little demons instinctively shut their mouths.

"Regardless of whether that mountain god is good or bad, the most important thing right now is to evade the pursuit of those humans!"

"Let's get out of here first, find a secluded place to hide, and then figure out a plan!"

The little demons looked at each other, agreed, and nodded in agreement.

So, Yu Luo took the lead and prepared to leave.

However, as soon as they took their first steps, the surrounding air suddenly jolted.

A ring of pale golden light rippled outwards like waves on water.

"Yes, it's the power of that evil god!" a little rabbit spirit screamed, so frightened that she fell to the ground with a thud.

"We're trapped! We can't escape!"

"Oh no! The Mountain Goddess is coming to take us and make us into soup!"

All the lesser demons fell into despair once more, lying helplessly on the ground, too exhausted even to howl.

Yu Luo raised her head and squinted as she examined the golden light shield.

This power... it feels so familiar.

She comforted the trembling little demons around her: "Don't worry, it's just a formation."

"Even if they bring more people, they might not be able to defeat me!"

Upon hearing this, the little demons merely glanced at her listlessly, clearly none of them believing her.

How powerful can a kitten be?

They have given up all hope.

Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.

Soon after, a cacophony of footsteps and shouts erupted from outside the woods.

As expected, the wealthy merchant returned with his men, this time with a much larger entourage than before.

"This is it! Those damned beasts are inside!"

Qian Fushang pointed at the demons inside the light barrier, his face full of resentment.

A group of people in strange costumes stood beside him.

A frail old man muttered incantations, and clusters of green flames appeared out of thin air, hurtling towards him!

There was also a burly man draped in animal skins, his muscles bulging all over. He pounded his chest and roared, the sound waves of which exploded outwards.

Various forces bombarded the golden light shield with terrifying force.

The little demons in the forest screamed in terror, huddled together, and trembled like leaves.

Just then, a faint golden light quietly emanated from Yu Luo's body.

It floated lightly through the light shield, meeting the barrage of attacks.

Then, to the astonishment of all the lesser demons, the golden light merely swept across them lightly.

All attacks, whether ghost fire or ice spikes, vanished into nothingness the instant they touched the golden light, like ice and snow melting away.

This time, all the little demons could see it clearly.

That golden light definitely came from that little orange cat!
