Chapter 459 Searching for the Transmigrator

With a light tap of his fingertip, Luo's panoramic view instantly zoomed out, sweeping across mountains and rivers before finally settling on a bustling city in the Liang Kingdom.

The will of the gods needs no words.

As soon as she had this thought, someone had already received the divine decree and begun to act.

Qingzhou, De'an Prefecture.

This is one of the major cities in the southern part of Liang Kingdom, bustling with people and traffic.

A small team of three was moving through the bustling crowd.

The woman in the lead is Tong Yiwen.

She wore a light green cloth dress that allowed her to move around easily, with a bulging medicine pouch hanging from her waist. Her long hair was neatly tied into a ponytail, and her gentle features exuded a sense of competence.

In her hands, she held an ancient bronze compass.

The compass had no Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, only a pointer that was emitting a faint light and trembling restlessly.

Beside Tong Yiwen is Chen Shuiyi.

She wore a long, sky-blue dress, the hem of which rippled like water as she walked. Several silver hairpins adorned her hair, making her skin appear as white as snow. Her aloof and elegant demeanor drew frequent glances from passersby.

At the very end of the line was Xuan Qi.

She was dressed in a tight-fitting black outfit, her long hair tied up high, and her eyes were cold, like a sharp blade drawn from its sheath, completely out of place in the bustling city.

"Sister Yiwen, is this compass even working?"

Chen Shuiyi looked at the trembling pointer and spoke uncertainly.

"A divine artifact bestowed by the Mountain Goddess must be fine."

Tong Yiwen spoke with certainty, her gaze fixed intently on the compass.

"The Empress said that as long as a time traveler appears within a ten-mile radius, the compass will sense it, and we will be able to see the golden lines that ordinary people cannot see."

No sooner had he finished speaking than the pointer on the compass jerked violently!

A dazzling golden light shot up from the screen!

The pointer stopped trembling and instead pointed steadily to a secluded alley not far ahead.

At the same time, in the three people's field of vision, a visible golden thread extended from the compass and disappeared straight into the end of the deep alley.

"Found it!"

Tong Yiwen's eyes lit up.

The three exchanged a glance, then quickened their pace and hurried toward the alley.

Before we even got close, a cacophony of shouting and cursing, along with the clatter of pots and pans being overturned, erupted from the alley.

"Kid! If you know what's good for you, hand over the secret recipe for spicy crayfish!"

"And those grilled oysters! How did you make the garlic sauce? Tell me!"

"If you won't listen to reason, you'll have to suffer the consequences! Brothers, give them a beating!"

The three rushed into the alley, and the scene before them made them pause for a moment.

A young man wearing a white lab coat and a tall chef's hat was cornered against a wall by five or six thugs wielding sticks.

The young man looked to be in his early twenties, but he was filled with grief and indignation. He was holding a large iron ladle in one hand and a spice jar in the other, which he was frantically spitting out.

"I'm telling you! This is a violation of trade secrets! It's illegal!"

"I'd rather starve to death or jump off this cliff than give my recipe to you bullies!"

An extremely pungent and spicy smell filled the air.

The thugs at the front were choked by the chili powder he threw out, their eyes watering and coughing repeatedly.

"Achoo, cough cough cough! Damn it, what the hell did that kid spit out?!"

"My eyes! My eyes!"

The scene was quite chaotic at one point.

Chen Shuiyi's lips twitched involuntarily when she saw this scene.

Why did such a big fuss happen over a recipe?

"stop!"

Tong Yiwen shouted and stepped forward, blocking the chef's path.

When the thugs saw three more women arrive, they were about to scold them, but when they saw Chen Shuiyi and Xuan Qi's faces, their eyes instantly lit up with greed.

"Oh, three beauties have arrived?"

The scarred thug at the head licked his lips and grinned maliciously.

"What? You want to stand up for this kid? Fine, have some fun with us, and we'll call it even!"

Chen Shuiyi frowned, a hint of disgust flashing in her eyes.

She didn't even bother with unnecessary words.

With a flick of her wrist, several crystal-clear water whips appeared out of thin air.

Smack! Smack! Smack!

The water whip, like a nimble snake emerging from its hole, struck with deadly precision, snatching the clubs from the hands of all the thugs and then lashing them across the face, leaving several clear red marks.

The thugs were spun around on the spot after being slapped, covering their faces, completely stunned.

What kind of sorcery is this?!

Xuan Qi was even more decisive.

She remained expressionless, and a card with strange runes was now between her fingers.

With a flick of her wrist, the card flew out as a streak of light.

"Bound".

The cold, clear sound of the words fell.

The thugs instantly felt a tightness in their bodies, as if they were bound by invisible ropes, and they all fell to the ground with thuds, unable to move.

The whole process happened in the blink of an eye.

The air in the alley seemed to freeze instantly.

The young chef dropped the iron ladle in his hand with a clatter. He opened his mouth wide, looking at the thugs lying on the ground, and then at the three stunningly beautiful women with completely different styles in front of him.

He pinched his thigh hard.

"Ouch, that hurts!"

It's not a dream!

"Holy crap!"

The young chef stared wide-eyed at them, pointing incredulously.

"And which production crew are you from? Water magician? Card master? And you, are you a support healer?"
