"I'm cured! I'm really cured!"
Zhang Hu's roar instantly brought everyone around him to their senses.
That's not an illusion!
This could very well be a miracle!
"I want to change too! I'll give you anything!" A burly man with a full beard rushed towards Yu Luo's stall like a madman and ripped off a necklace made of bullet casings hanging around his neck.
"This was made by my wife! Change it! Give me a different one!"
Yu Luo didn't even flinch, she just glanced at him indifferently.
"It's not something you consider precious."
The cold voice wasn't loud, but it struck the burly man like a thunderbolt, leaving him frozen in place.
Those around instantly realized that this seemingly divine figure wanted something truly precious from the heart, not just empty words.
“I’ll go!” A bespectacled, seemingly refined young man squeezed forward. He carefully pulled a waterproof bag from his pocket, inside which was a faded family photo.
His eyes were red and his voice trembled: "These are photos of my family. After the apocalypse, I'm the only one left. This is my only memento, and I'm willing to exchange it for the power to protect others!"
Yu Luo's gaze fell on the photo, and she nodded slightly: "Okay."
The young man, his hands trembling, chose a wooden box.
The box opened, and a yellowish-brown light merged into his body. He was stunned as he reached out and pressed his hand against the ground, and a mud wall, half a person's height, rose from the earth!
"Earth-type ability! I've awakened it!" He cried tears of joy.
This caused everyone to go crazy.
"I'll exchange it for the medals left by my grandfather!"
"I'll trade my wedding ring for it!"
"I have nothing, can I trade ten years of my lifespan for it?!"
"I don't charge for lifespan," the woman behind the stall said calmly. "Change to another one."
The man realized what was happening and immediately went to look for it.
The other team members eagerly took out all their most treasured possessions and piled them in front of Yu Luo.
Someone successfully traded for the box and obtained an incredibly sharp alloy battle knife.
Someone brought out a whole mutated wild boar, roasted until it sizzled and dripped with oil. The aroma was so enticing that even the system at the fried chicken stand next door couldn't help but sniff.
Not only that, the mutated wild boar became even stronger after eating it!
Others, like that young man, awakened the superpowers they had always dreamed of.
Looking at the chaotic yet hopeful scene before him, Chen Feng was filled with mixed emotions.
He took a deep breath and stepped forward.
Everyone instinctively made way for him.
The captain is the backbone of everyone.
Chen Feng didn't take out any items; he simply stood in front of Yu Luo, his weathered eyes showing a hint of emotion.
“I’ll change mine too. This is the pendant my daughter wore when she was born. She’s been missing for three years.” He took out the pendant from his neck.
It was a walnut basket that had been worn very smooth and looked dull.
Yu Luo nodded slightly: "Okay."
Chen Feng stood in front of the stall and selected a wooden box.
He opened the box, and instead of a blinding light, he was met with an intense chill.
Looking down at his right hand, he saw a thin layer of frost rapidly condensing on his palm, and the moisture in the air seemed to obey his command, gathering towards it.
Ice-type superpower!
Chen Feng was completely stunned.
He suddenly remembered hearing someone mention it some time ago.
Someone suddenly awakened to powerful superpowers, supposedly after encountering a mysterious woman.
Could it be them?
If everyone could open such blind boxes and awaken superpowers, would this damn apocalypse finally come to an end?
So, will his daughter be found soon?
The moment the thought crossed his mind, he looked up sharply, as if he wanted to say something more.
However, where are there any stalls left?
The woman in white, who was leisurely lying on the bamboo chair, the girl in pink with pigtails selling fried chicken, and the two simple stalls all disappeared without a trace.
A river breeze blew by, leaving only a faint aroma of meat and a faint, cool atmosphere on the empty riverbank, as if everything that had just happened was just a dream that was too real.
"Where is she? Where is the fairy sister?"
"Gone? How could they just leave?"
The team members looked at each other, completely bewildered.
But the chill in Chen Feng's palm felt incredibly real. He waved his hand towards the river as if possessed.
A sharp ice spike instantly formed in his palm and shot towards the river like a bullet!
The next second, a mutated flying fish that had just leaped out of the water and opened its blood-red mouth was accurately hit in mid-air and instantly frozen into a crystal-clear ice sculpture. It crashed to the ground with a thud and shattered into several pieces.
Everyone was stunned by this move.
"Holy crap! Captain is awesome!"
"Have we stumbled into a paradise?" one of the team members muttered to himself.
The man next to him, who had just received a roasted pig, mumbled a retort while gnawing on a pig leg: "There's no such good thing in Peach Blossom Spring! Superpowers and meat at the same time!"
The young man who had awakened his earth-elemental abilities was squatting on the ground, clumsily building the character for "home" with the newly formed earthen wall, laughing and crying at the same time: "Great! I can build walls now! I can go home and protect my parents..."
This complex emotion touched everyone, and others couldn't help but tear up as well.
It's unclear who was the first to kneel down and kowtow heavily towards the open space.
Immediately afterwards, everyone knelt down and offered their sincerest gratitude in the direction where the two women had disappeared.
