I spent a sleepless night.
The sky outside the window transitioned from dark blue to pale white, finally tinged with the faint light of dawn.
Inside the study, the candle had long since gone out.
Only wisps of smoke silently tell of the torment of the long night.
Shangguan Qing sat on the armchair, motionless all night, and slowly raised his head.
Her eyes were bloodshot, and her once meticulously styled hair was now somewhat disheveled.
He clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles turned white from the force.
Including Mu Ye and Li Mo from before, there are a total of five disciples!
They've all been sent out!
But all of them vanished without a trace, leaving no trace!
"This is outrageous!"
Shangguan Qing slammed his hand on the table, his anger, which had been suppressed all night, finally erupting!
The teacup bounced again, rolling onto the carpet with a dull thud.
"Great! Excellent!"
He laughed in anger, his voice icy cold.
"A bunch of country bumpkins, how dare they be so audacious!"
"Does he really think I, the Grand Physician of the Imperial Medical Academy, am made of clay?!"
They detained the imperial physician, and now they've detained so many of his disciples! It's utterly lawless!
He abruptly stood up, straightened his slightly disheveled robes, and his eyes were sharp as knives.
"I must go and see for myself!"
"Look at your so-called clinic, what kind of place is it! Look at you, what gives you the right to be so arrogant!"
Today, he is determined to brave that dangerous place and bring his disciples back!
Filled with rage, Shangguan Qing strode out of the mansion and headed straight for the Imperial Hospital.
He first had to go to the Imperial Hospital to report for duty, and then head straight to the temporary ward to demand an explanation!

The morning light cast a soft golden glow on this solemn and majestic building.

Shangguan Qing, with a sullen face, had just stepped onto the stone steps in front of the door and was about to go in.
Out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of two familiar figures hurrying down the corridor beside me, talking in hushed tones as they walked.
They were colleagues from the Imperial Medical Academy, Physician Yu and Physician Zhang.
The imperial physician asked with a surprised expression.
"Old Yu, what are you still dawdling about here?"
"The temporary ward is desperately short-staffed. Didn't you hear about that?"
"Almost all the able-bodied physicians from our Imperial Medical Academy have been pulled over to help!"
The imperial physician surnamed Yu looked as if he had just arrived, and he looked completely bewildered upon hearing this.
"Help? Go to those temporary clinics set up in the wilderness? Shall we all go?"
"In case any concubine or noble lady in the palace summons us unexpectedly, we..."
Physician Zhang waved his hand impatiently: "Oh, don't worry about it!"
"The Princess of Ning'an has spoken; nothing is more important than controlling the plague now!"
"All imperial physicians must cooperate fully! The palace will make the arrangements!"
"Let's hurry up and go, or we'll be rushed by those mountain guards again!"
Upon hearing this, Physician Yu shrank back, clearly somewhat wary of the guards, and quickly nodded.
"Okay, okay, I'll go right away, I'll go right away."
He looked around and asked curiously.
"By the way, Brother Zhang, have you seen Minister Shangguan?"
"I haven't seen him all day?"
Upon hearing this, Physician Zhang's face immediately showed admiration: "Court Minister Shangguan?"
"You don't know this!"
Physician Zhang lowered his voice, his tone filled with admiration and emotion.
"Our Chief Shangguan is a truly noble and righteous person!"
"They were the first to support epidemic prevention!"
"Did you know? To support the ward, Minister Shangguan sent all five of his most prized disciples there without hesitation!"
"Five! I heard they are all young talents who have fully inherited the teachings of the Imperial Academy Minister!"
"Wow, what a magnanimous spirit, what a sense of responsibility! We can only look up to them in awe!"
Physician Yu was stunned, and then a look of shame appeared on his face: "Is...is this really true?"
"So it turns out that Minister Shangguan is so insightful and righteous. We had doubts before. We are truly ashamed!"
"No! Compared to the Head of the Academy, I am far inferior!"
Physician Yu slapped his thigh hard.
"I'm going back right now and bringing all my good-for-nothing apprentices over!"
"Let them go to the hospital and do their part, so they can learn from them!"
As they talked, the two hurried towards the gate of the Imperial Medical Academy, preparing to perform their duties.
Shangguan Qing, who was standing on the stone steps, seemed to be struck by an invisible thunderbolt, and froze on the spot.
What did he hear? Help?
All five disciples were sent to help?
The first to support barren mountains? A man of noble character? A man of great righteousness?
These praises were like resounding slaps to his face!
It's burning hot!
When did he ever say he wanted his disciples to "help"?!
They went to spy on the situation and expose those people!
But now, in the eyes of all his colleagues, he has become a role model for supporting the barren mountains.
His disciples weren't detained, but sent to "help"? Then why haven't any of them returned?!
Could that temporary ward really be some kind of den of dragons and tigers?
Once you go in, you can't get out?!
No! He had to go see for himself! He had to find out what had happened to those disciples!
