Is Chapter 338 the end?

Zhang Jing smiled slightly as she looked at the boy's bewildered eyes.

"To call for help" means to ask for assistance.

She offered a brief explanation, quickly contacted Wang Wan using a communication talisman, and said no more before turning and walking towards the deep mountains the boy had indicated.

"Fairy Maiden, wait for me!"

The boy realized what was happening, quickly got up from the ground, and without even bothering to brush the dust off himself, staggered after them.

He was both nervous and excited. Was this fairy really going to help their village?

The two of them, one in front and one behind, soon entered the deep mountain that was said to be haunted by evil spirits.

The mountain road was rugged and the forest was deep and secluded.

The boy was panting heavily, while the fairy in front of him walked lightly, as if on flat ground.

The further you go in, the more the air seems to be filled with a faint smell of blood and demonic energy.

The boy grew increasingly nervous, his palms clenching until they were sweaty.

Suddenly, the forest ahead opened up, revealing a clearing.

The boy only glanced at it, and he was struck dumb as if by lightning!

On the open ground, countless silver sword lights swirled and danced like dragons, emitting clear and melodious sword sounds!

On the ground lay dozens of large, vicious wolves, howling and groaning in a sorry state.

These are the wolf demons that have been troubling the villagers in the mountains for so long, keeping them from having peace day and night!

At this moment, they were like lambs to the slaughter, completely devoid of their former ferocity.

The lead wolf demon, a particularly large, bluish-black wolf, was the focus of several sword beams.

Its fur was charred in many places, and it was lying on the ground, weakly shouting in a heavy accent.

"Heroes, spare my lives! Gentlemen, which mountain are you from? Do you know this place? This is Wolf Boss's territory!"

Before it could finish speaking...

"Thump!"

A giant, silver fist, the size of a millstone, appeared out of thin air and slammed into the giant wolf demon's forehead!

"Awoo!"

The wolf demon let out a miserable howl, and a shiny bump bulged on its head at a speed visible to the naked eye.

It saw stars and almost fainted on the spot.

A clear, cold female voice came from mid-air, carrying an undeniable authority.

"Say it again, whose territory is this?"

The boy suddenly looked up.

A woman dressed in simple, elegant clothes stood on a flying sword that gleamed with a cold light.

Standing in mid-air, he looked down at the wolf demon on the ground with a cold and icy expression.

The giant wolf demon was stunned by the blow, and upon hearing the cold voice, it shuddered. Its massive wolf head slammed against the ground, and its voice changed, becoming tearful as it cried out.

"This is the territory of the Mountain Goddess! This is the territory of the Mountain Goddess! This lowly demon was blind and disrespectful, offending the Mountain Goddess. Please, Fairy, spare my life!"

The little wolf demons who were whimpering around them were even more terrified when they saw this, burying their heads in the ground and not daring to utter a sound.

The boy stared wide-eyed at the fairy maiden in the sky, then at the wolf demon king on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly. His mind went blank, and he had no idea what to say.

That's it?

Those ferocious wolf demons who had killed many people in their village, just like that, they knelt down?

Upon seeing them, Wang Wan, riding on her flying sword, moved swiftly and landed beside them like a streak of light.

Her cool gaze swept over the boy, she nodded slightly, then turned to Zhang Jing, her voice calm.

"Zhang Jing, the investigation has been completed."

"These wolf demons are the remnants of the divine kingdom."

Wang Wan recounted the story in detail.

"The Great Moon Kingdom has now been occupied by the Skeleton Clan."

"These wolf demons were forced to leave the divine kingdom and scattered in all directions. Many of them wandered to the surrounding countries, causing bloodshed and harming the people."

She paused, glanced at the giant wolf demon still trembling on the ground, and her tone became even colder.

"This wolf demon is the most useless. It was harmed by those other wolf demons and thought of secretly escaping into the Liang Kingdom because it thought that the Liang Kingdom was the territory of the Mountain Goddess and many wolf demons dared not set foot there easily."

Zhang Jing nodded upon hearing this.

Wang Wan continued, "I have already killed those wolf demons who had committed crimes and tainted human lives on the spot."

Her gaze swept over the wolf demons on the ground, barely clinging to life: "As for the rest, they don't deserve to die. I will take them back to the desolate mountains and let them work to reform themselves and atone for their sins."

"Thank you for your hard work, Master Wang." Zhang Jing bowed to Wang Wan with a slight smile on her face.

She then briefly recounted how she had dealt with the armies of Prince Chen and Prince Sui at the village entrance.

"...So I made them compensate the people for their losses and told them to stay and repair the houses until they were finished before they could leave."

After listening, Wang Wan's usually cold face showed a hint of agreement.

"You did an excellent job."

She nodded slightly: "Those commanders who allowed their men to plunder the people deserve to be punished! If you hadn't intervened in time, who knows how many more innocent people would have suffered. Such behavior must not be tolerated!"

The boy beside him, initially stunned, was now completely numb with shock.

He stared in disbelief as the two fairies chatted back and forth, as if discussing something utterly mundane.

But to him, whether it was subduing the pack of ferocious wolf demons or forcing those two seemingly intimidating armies to pay for building repairs, these were earth-shattering events!

Is that it?

The wolf demon scourge that had plagued several villages deep in the mountains and caused them endless fear was resolved so easily.

Are all the followers of the Mountain Goddess this powerful?

There were dozens, no, judging by the number, there were probably hundreds of wolf demons! And that wolf demon king was as big as a small mountain!

The boy was deeply shocked and felt boundless awe for the mountain goddess who had never met him but had such a powerful following.
