Chapter 203 The Arm Can't Twist the Thigh

You can run away from the monk, but you can't run away from the temple.

Yingbao sighed.

She knew that when crows flew over her head in the morning, it was never a good thing.

Sure enough, she still had to go to school, and she stopped worrying about it—or rather, she couldn't worry about it anymore.

After all, you can't twist your thigh with your arm.

Yingbao suddenly remembered a saying: "Study hard and develop your character—don't be reckless."

Breakfast consisted of eggs, steamed buns, pickled vegetables, and millet porridge. By the time Yingbao and the others finished eating, it was almost time.

After watching her granddaughter Yingbao and the others walk away, Wang Cuihua went back, closed the door, sat down to rest for ten minutes, massaged her aching back for a while, and then got up to clean up the pots and pans that the three of them had eaten.

As I tidied up, I reminisced.

………

As soon as Yingbao and her friends arrived at the school gate, they were stopped by the security guard in the gatehouse. The old man was very energetic and asked, "Who are you looking for? Strangers are not allowed to enter here."

Wang Yitong said with a smile, "Uncle, let's find Teacher Zhou Xiayun, or Teacher Ye Tianwang, either of them will do."

Upon hearing this, the security guard realized that the middle-aged woman knew the full names of the two teachers from their school and that they were a married couple, so she probably knew them.

After thinking it over, the old man noticed a woman with a child who looked to be about four or five years old; they were probably there to arrange for the child to go to school.

The security guard suddenly slapped himself, leaving Wang Yitong and Yingbao stunned.

What's wrong with this old man?

Is this guy mentally unstable? Logically, he shouldn't be.

The mother and daughter thought the same thing at the same time.

The security guard remembered that Director Ye had come over to say hello before, but he had been too busy to remember. This whole situation was really frustrating.

He sat up awkwardly, immediately opened the door, and let Wang Yitong and Yingbao and her daughter in. "Sister, I'm so sorry. It's like the flood washed away the Dragon King Temple. We're all family members, but we don't recognize each other. It's really my fault. I'm getting old, and my memory isn't what it used to be. A few days ago, Director Ye came over to say hello and that his niece was coming over..."

Yingbao laughed, thinking to herself that this old man was quite cultured. "The flood washed away the Dragon King Temple, and family members don't recognize each other. What a ridiculous story."

Wang Yitong smiled slightly and replied, "It's alright, Uncle. Don't mention it. I often forget things myself. I do this one second and forget about it the next. It's perfectly normal."

The security guard knew that the woman in front of him was saying this specifically to ease his embarrassment.

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Yingbao and her mother walked into the school.

………

In no time, he asked the students and teachers passing by along the way and found his second aunt's office.

Yingbao stepped forward and knocked three times. The door opened, and it was her second aunt, Zhou Xiayun, who opened it.

When Zhou Xiaoyun saw her sister-in-law and niece arrive, she was overjoyed. "Please wait a moment," she said, and then went back to her office to face a woman with two braids and wearing a dark blue dress. She said, "Xiaoli, my niece... they're here. I'll take them to the principal's office to go through the formalities. Could you cover my class for me later? I'll treat you to a big meal another day."

Xiaoli, true to her word, said, "Okay, Xiaoyun, don't worry about me. I'll make sure everything is arranged perfectly and nothing goes wrong."

After exchanging greetings and making all the arrangements, Aunt Zhou Xiayun, her sister-in-law Wang Yitong, and her niece Yingbao headed straight for their destination without looking to either side.
