Chapter 252: Live up to every wonderful moment and leave no regrets.

Ye Tianwang chopped wood, while Ye Tiancheng went to the kitchen to help the four women in the family, waiting for instructions.

The one chopping wood was Uncle Ye Tiancheng. A rough man like him would do rough work. "Second brother, go to the kitchen and help Mom, your sister-in-law, your wife, and your third brother's wife. I'll chop wood here..."

"Alright..."

Ye Tianwang obediently went.

…………

The entire Ye family was busy preparing for the Dragon Boat Festival. The whole house was bustling with activity, and no one was idle, but the atmosphere around them was filled with joy and celebration.

Suddenly, sunlight streamed through the windows from the courtyard into the house, illuminating the familiar yet busy faces of the Ye family.

Mother Wang Yitong, eldest aunt Lin Wan, second aunt Zhou Xiayun, and grandmother Wang Cuihua were busy wrapping zongzi in the kitchen. Each of them was very skilled, and each of their zongzi was big and plump.

It looks very appetizing.

Second Uncle Ye Tianwang was also in the kitchen. He sat by the stove, watching the fire, and then took the zongzi over to cook. When the zongzi were almost done cooking, they emitted an enticing aroma.

It smells so good it makes my mouth water!

After washing the bamboo leaves, Ye Yuanhang and Yingbao found some pretty decorations and hung strings of colorful mugwort and calamus in various rooms of their house, making the whole place more festive. They wanted to make the Dragon Boat Festival more fulfilling and something to look forward to!

In the very end,

Yingbao and the others still had pots of fresh flowers and green plants in each of their rooms, along with tables. These were picked from the roadside and taken out of the space. They were arranged together, and surprisingly, they looked quite nice.

With this, I feel like the whole house is full of life and energy.

For every family, the Dragon Boat Festival is not only a traditional festival, but also a symbol of family reunion.

Everyone looks forward to this day, especially children. They are innocent and naive, and they think that the Dragon Boat Festival is a special day because they can eat delicious food that they don't usually get to eat, eat zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) that they only get to eat once a year, and maybe even share fruit with a few people.

For children, eating, sleeping, and playing are of utmost importance.

Adults are different from children; they all look forward to reuniting with their families and spending a warm and happy Dragon Boat Festival together.

Especially for those who work away from home, they can only go home a few times a year, so they must miss home terribly!

When I think of the Tang Dynasty poet Yin Yaofan, I recall his most poignant line about the Dragon Boat Festival: "Young people are filled with emotion on this festive day, but who knows the feelings that come with old age?"

The general idea is that people enjoy holidays as children but dread them as adults, especially poets.

When we're young, we look forward to holidays every day because they're lively, fun, and we're full of energy. But when we get old and have no relatives, it's unlikely that anyone will have the heart to celebrate holidays.

I am filled with emotion.

So, while you're young, while you're here, while your loved ones are still around, live life to the fullest, have fun, spend money, and laugh when you want to...

Make the most of every wonderful moment and leave no regrets.

By the time everyone was finished, it was already noon.

Yingbao and the others sat side by side around the dining table, enjoying a sumptuous lunch.
