With Ye Ying and Di Di working together, the four white pillars snapped and collapsed one after another, making a deafening roar. In an instant, smoke and dust filled the air, and the entire room trembled.
As the white pillar was destroyed, the mechanism creaked and groaned before ceasing operation, and the once fierce and incomparable sword energy vanished without a trace.
The three of them breathed a sigh of relief, their tense nerves finally relaxing a little. However, before they could even feel relieved, the mysterious stone in the center of the room, called the "Stone of Destiny," suddenly emitted a dazzling white light, instantly illuminating the entire room as bright as day.
"What's going on?" Didi exclaimed in surprise, her mouth agape, her face full of confusion.
Ye Ying and Ji Wuchen exchanged a glance, a sense of foreboding rising in both of their hearts. They realized that the situation might not be as simple as they had imagined, and perhaps more unknown dangers awaited them.
After a brief silence, Ye Ying suggested, "Let's leave here first. If we stay any longer, something might happen."
Ji Wuchen nodded in agreement. After reaching a consensus, the two turned to leave the eerie room.
But just then, they were surprised to find that the path they had come from had vanished! In its place stood an incredibly hard, cold, and unforgiving wall in front of them.
“It seems we’re trapped…” Ji Wuchen frowned, a hint of worry in his voice.
Faced with the predicament before her, Ye Ying did not panic.
Immediately, Ye Ying took a deep breath to calm herself down, and then calmly analyzed, "Don't worry, since there's a wall blocking our way, it means there must be some kind of mechanism or passage that can lead us out. As long as we search patiently, we'll definitely find a way out!"
Hearing Ye Ying's words, Didi and Ji Wuchen gradually regained their composure.
So the three of them began to search the room carefully, leaving no corner unchecked, and even examining the fine lines on the walls one by one.
Persistence pays off. Finally, after much effort, they discovered a switch that was hidden very well in an inconspicuous corner.
Ye Ying pressed the switch, and a door slowly appeared on the wall.
The three were overjoyed and quickly went inside. Behind the door was a narrow passage, the walls on both sides of which were somewhat dark and damp, exuding an old smell.
A faint light shone from the end of the passage, like a ray of hope guiding them forward.
"We've finally found the exit!" Didi shouted excitedly, her voice echoing through the passage.
The three of them quickened their pace and ran eagerly toward the light.
Every step was filled with anticipation and tension, and I silently prayed that I could leave this mysterious ruin safely.
When they emerged from the passage, the sight before them astonished them.
They had somehow ended up back at the entrance to the ruins!
Everything seemed unchanged, but a strange sense of emotion welled up deep within them.
"This adventure was so thrilling!" Didi said, still shaken, with a few beads of sweat on her forehead.
"However, we also gained a lot." Ye Ying looked at the "Stone of Destiny" shining with a mysterious light in Ji Wuchen's hand, a hint of determination flashing in her eyes.
