Ye Ying and Ji Wuchen ran with all their might, as if entrusting their lives to their legs; it could be described as a "desperate sprint." They dared not relax for even a moment, but the metal wall moved much faster than them, catching up in the blink of an eye.
Just as they were about to be overtaken, an idea suddenly flashed through Ye Ying's mind. She shouted anxiously, "Teacher Ji, why don't we try climbing over the wall!"
As soon as she finished speaking, she quickly reached out and grabbed the protruding part of the wall, trying her best to climb upwards.
Upon seeing this, Ji Wuchen immediately understood her intention and followed suit without hesitation, climbing upwards closely beside Ye Ying.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as they expected. The wall was too smooth, making it difficult for them to move and find a stable foothold.
Time was of the essence. In the blink of an eye, the cold and merciless metal wall pounced on them like a hungry tiger, only a few meters away!
"It's too late!" Ji Wuchen gritted his teeth, practically forcing the words out. At the same time, he shouted to Ye Ying, "Ying'er, hurry... hurry and jump over here!"
Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly leaped up with all his might, stretching his arm forward as if it were an arrow released from a bow, reaching straight towards Ye Ying, wanting to offer her a helping hand.
Seeing this, Ye Ying didn't hesitate. Her figure was like a light and graceful cloud, or a nimble and agile swallow, rushing towards Ji Wuchen without regard for her own safety. In that breathtaking moment, Ji Wuchen firmly grasped her fair and delicate hand.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Despite Ji Wuchen's best efforts, the immense inertia caused the two to lose their balance and fall heavily to the ground, sliding a short distance down the slope.
Fortunately, the cold, hard metal wall, which could have been deadly, seemed to be suddenly frozen in place by some kind of magical spell, stopping just short of touching their bodies.
It took the two of them a great deal of effort to get up from the ground. They were panting heavily as they looked at each other, both covered in dust and looking quite disheveled. They couldn't help but chuckle.
"I've finally escaped this calamity..." Ye Ying breathed a long sigh of relief, the weight that had been hanging over her heart finally lifted.
"Hmm, but what should we do next?" Ji Wuchen's eyes were sharp as he carefully observed the movements around him and cautiously scanned his surroundings, his brows furrowed tightly.
After a careful inspection, they were astonished to find themselves in a completely unfamiliar room filled with all sorts of strange and unprecedented instruments and equipment, as well as a dense and intricate network of pipes and cables.
Undoubtedly, a brand new problem and challenge lies before us...
Ye Ying and Ji Wuchen looked around with solemn expressions, as if facing a formidable enemy. They noticed that the door was tightly shut, and even the windows were sealed shut, leaving no gaps for air to circulate.
