"Where is the master?!" Madam Su strode into Guan Wude's courtyard with her hands on her hips, looking arrogant and domineering. Behind her followed Yu Die, who was meek and listless.
"Uh, the master has gone out," the butler said respectfully.
"They went out?" Su asked, her eyes wide.
"What are you going out for?!"
"Uh, the master didn't say," the butler replied meekly.
"Master is off today and doesn't need to attend the morning court session. Where did he go? Did he go to the brothel with that slut?!" With that, Madam Su rolled up her sleeves and headed for the door.
"Madam, Madam, please reconsider!" Yu Die desperately grabbed Su Shi, preventing her from leaving.
Seeing that something was wrong, the steward quickly gave a signal to the guards at the door, telling them to go and find Guan Wude.
"Madam, with the year-end approaching, there are many social obligations to fulfill. Master, you've gone to personally purchase gifts and visit family friends." The steward quickly came up with a reason in a moment of inspiration.
Upon hearing this, Su felt there was some truth to it, but her anger still burned fiercely.
"Madam, it's cold outside. Please don't catch a chill. When Master returns, I will tell him that you have something urgent to discuss with him," the steward said, bowing and scraping.
"Oh, right, before the master left, he instructed this old servant to fetch a doctor. Right now, the doctor is in the young lady's room, taking her pulse and prescribing medicine."
Upon hearing that it was related to Guan Qinqin, Madam Su immediately stopped being angry. She snorted and then pulled Yu Die to see Guan Qinqin.
The housekeeper watched Su's departing figure and sighed silently.

In the evening, Su soaked in a bathtub filled with pale yellow osmanthus petals, scrubbing her body again and again. The whole room was filled with steam and the fragrance of the petals.
"Madam, please be gentle, you've rubbed it all red."
"Yu Die, do you think I'm getting old?" Su felt a pang of sadness. She could sense that Guan Wude was gradually distancing himself from her, and the two of them hadn't shared a room for a month.
After the commotion this morning, Guan Wude returned home and had a lot of food from restaurants sent to Madam Su, but he still did not go to see her.
Madam Su could guess in her heart that the rumors circulating in the manor were probably true.
"Madam, what are you saying? You are in the prime of your life."
"Yu Die, the scent of this osmanthus is a bit too cloying," Madam Su sighed.
"Yes, Madam. Then I'll go get you some more rose petals." Yu Die wiped her hands with a cloth and went to the storeroom in the courtyard to find dried petals.
After Yu Die left, the other maids in the room served Su Shi.
"Be gentle, are you trying to rub off a layer of my skin?!" Su scolded as she turned around, only to find that the person serving her by scrubbing her back was Yu Liu.
"How could it be you?!" Madam Su was shocked and extremely nervous, fearing that this little girl might harm her while she was naked in the bathtub.
"Madam, this servant is here to serve you." Yu Liu looked at Madam Su with a smile.
Hearing that sweet, coquettish voice, Madam Su was furious. "Don't think that by trying to please me here, I'll agree to let the master make you his concubine!"
"Don't even think about it!" Su sneered.
"Madam, I am pregnant with Master's child. The doctor says it's a boy!" Yu Liu said softly and gently.
"What?!" Su stared at her in shock, her pupils dilating suddenly, her heart skipping a beat, and her whole body stiffening.
Yu Liuhua covered her mouth and laughed, her face full of smugness.
Seeing Yu Liu's smug look, Su felt dizzy. She wished it was all just a dream.
"Madam, the roses have arrived." Yu Die walked to the bathtub and was about to pour the rose petals into it when she looked up and saw Yu Liu.
Upon seeing that it was Yu Liu, she angrily pointed at Yu Liu and cursed.
"Yu Liu, how could you do such a thing?!"
"Our First Madam has treated you very well!" Yu Die said indignantly.
"You still have the nerve to question me? Over the years, how many dirty things have you done for the First Madam? Are your hands still clean?!" Yu Liu sneered, her face contorted in a terrifying grimace.
“As servants, we naturally have to obey our masters’ orders.” Yu Die was taken aback and murmured softly.
"Hmph, does she even treat us like human beings?!" Yu Liu glared fiercely at Su Shi, her face full of resentment and dissatisfaction.
"Two years ago, I reached marriageable age, but the First Madam stubbornly refused to let me go. If I didn't seduce the Master, what other way out would I have?!"
"Fortunately, the master is also handsome and gentle, and knows very well how to be considerate of young ladies. We have to thank the madam for her foresight!"
"Yu Liu, you!" Yu Die blushed when she heard Yu Liu's words.
"You shameless slut! You heartless whore!"
"I should have killed you back then!"
Su grabbed the white porcelain box and threw it away forcefully.
"Calling me a heartless whore? Humph, Madam, you'd better watch your mouth. The young lady has already incurred divine wrath, how come you still don't repent?"

“You!” Madam Su pointed at Yu Liu, speechless.
"Control yourself, don't get so angry."
