Chapter 8 Your Majesty, I have come to beg for forgiveness!

She felt a chill run down her spine. Was someone watching her? She looked around, but there was no one suspicious.

What exactly is going on with this medicine box?

Yun Duoduo's two little hands were tightly gripping the oral liquid, her brain working at a rapid pace.

Could it be that the modern world has advanced to the point that humans can travel through time and space, and even take objects with them?

Or perhaps it's something like Doraemon's magic pocket that has already come to fruition?

Or did she actually come to a mirror world where she could connect with the world she originally lived in?

What she didn't notice was that the white jade hairpin that had been at the foot of the bed was gone.

She stood there blankly for a long time before realizing that she should hide the two bottles of medicine first and take them after breakfast.

She was still very cautious; this medicine shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach, as it can upset the stomach.

When will she be able to have a hot meal?

As dawn broke, the weather was freezing cold, the wind was biting, and the trees were bare. A group of people knelt in unison at the entrance of Shouchang Palace, with Empress Zhaoyuan at the head.

"Your Majesty, I have come to beg for forgiveness!" The Empress, shivering from the cold, called out loudly in a trembling voice and kowtowed.

Inside Shouchang Palace, Zhang Mama was combing and styling the Empress Dowager's hair when she heard the commotion outside. She asked the Empress Dowager, "Your Majesty, shall we let the Empress in?"

The Empress Dowager nodded. She already knew why the Empress had come so early in the morning. "Let her in. Serve the meal. Have the Imperial Kitchen prepare some rice porridge and beef soup."

She knew this daughter-in-law well; she was usually naive and her becoming empress was purely by chance. However, fortunately, she had a righteous and kind heart.

"Yes, Your Majesty the Empress Dowager," Zhang Mama replied, and went to give the instructions.

"Bring the little princess over here as well," the Empress Dowager added immediately.

Yun Duoduo was sleeping soundly in bed when she was suddenly awakened by shouts from outside the bedroom.

She smacked her lips, closed her eyes, and prepared to sleep a little longer, but she felt her body being lifted into the air. When she opened her eyes, she saw Zhang Mama's kind face.

Granny Zhang touched her little face and carried her to the front hall.

Thankfully, the child didn't develop a fever. He's quite robust; it's a miracle he didn't catch a cold in this freezing weather.

In the front hall, the Empress walked in with her head bowed and knelt before the Empress Dowager. "Your Majesty, I pay my respects. Yesterday's events were due to my poor management, which caused the little princess to suffer such a great injustice."

Yun Duoduo was in Zhang Mama's arms. She turned her head to look at the Empress kneeling on the ground. Daughter-in-law meeting mother-in-law, this is a good show that cannot be missed.

Seeing the scene before her, Yun Duoduo exclaimed, "Wow!"

What kind of trick is this now, pretending to apologize with thorns on one's back?!
